Overall happy with the item purchased and with the ease with which it was exchanged for a different size. The web site could give a little more detail. The sporran change I ordered came in two finishes, but the same photo was used for both and neither the order form nor invoice indicated which had been ordered. I received the wrong one, but as I say replacement was straightforward and am happy with the chain.

My first experience of hiring a kilt and attire was made so much easier than I anticipated due in large part to the knowledge and patience of Nikki in that department.
She had the knowledge to translate my Australian size to the necessary Scottish equivalents (regardless of my misgivings) and I ended up with just what I needed.
Indeed the entire staff we dealt with at McCalls were nothing but pleasant and helpful and I would certainly recommend McCalls to anyone looking to hire or buy authentic Scottish kit.
We came away with considerably more than we intended and enjoyed the shopping experience.

Items are good quality, price was fair, and delivery on time.

Had an issue with the item when it arrived after close inspection, well packaged I may add and no fault of McCalls. Contacted Ben who promptly rectified the problem by sending out a replacement. Very satisfied with the customer service.

The team of 4 staff who served me and my wedding party to fit 8 of us for kilts were excellent. They were friendly, helpful and patient towards all of us, especially the little page boys! They were able to answer all our questions and every detail was covered for what we needed. Thank you all very much! I would certainly recommend for your kilt outfits!

Bought a kilt for my stepson. He took his own measurements which mccalls rightly questioned and altered. Living 300+ miles away a visit/fitting wasn’t an option. Polite and professional.

A big thank you to McCalls Highlandwear Aberdeen and especially Robyn Smith who at short notice from Tom Watt SLO for Tall Ships Races Aberdeen 2025 kitted out the crew of the Italian Navy Ship CORSARO II with kilts for a photo opportunity. This was the Italians first visit to Scotland and the friendliness of the McCalls Highlandwear team has meant that these young Naval Cadets have been given a very positive impression of Aberdeen and Scotland. Bravo Zulu ( Navy Term for a job well done) McCalls !

Attended McCalls on Ingram St Glasgow yesterday as part of a wedding party to get highland wear for my Daughter’s upcoming wedding. My son in law and some others from the party had already been in previously and myself and our friend who came over from Dublin for the day to get a fitting. On arrival we were met by who looked to be the shop manager who informed us that we could not get seen without an appointment which I understand but my son in law was informed previously by another member of staff that any further members of the party could just pop in. I informed him that our friend was over from Dublin especially for the fitting but he appeared quite rude and sarcastic towards us but whilst walking away he told us to go speak to two younger members of staff which we did and I have to say they were absolutely fantastic and so helpful, Alexandria and Shay, they were so helpful and knowledgeable and made our visit a pleasure, 5 star rating due to Alexandria and Shays attentive service.

The Sgian Dubh I ordered was exactly what I wanted, looks exactly like it does in the picture, and arrived at my house in Australia much quicker than expected. It's for my son's 21st birthday in April, I can't wait to see his face when he opens it!

The 2 kilt pins I ordered arrived just a few days after I had placed my order & they were really great quality.

Poor. The goods offered and noted as available where not in stock. Error on the site.
I suppose the only good thing was they emailed me and then returned my money promptly.

Great experience. Kilt fitting was really easy, as was getting the rest of the groom squad in on a few different days to do there’s. Really easy to organise, used self measuring guide as well which was a perfect fit.

It was very easy to get sorted. The kilt fitting was very easy for the younger boys and all outfits were double checked on pickup. Nicki was a great help.
