It is with remorse I feel the need to submit this review as I have historically received great service from this firm and been happy to recommend them.

However when engaged recently to assist with the estate of a deceased relative they lost my trust and loyalty by completing on an asset sale but refusing to release the substantial proceeds - seemingly due to a paperwork anomaly which possibly should have been an obstacle to allowing completion to occur. The consideration of sale was then held to ransom as they sided with their opposite counterparty on the transaction in an attempt to overcome perceived errors.

A complaint was raised in accordance with their procedures but has not been acted on as per their published guidelines. Over 8-weeks have since elapsed and correspondence is not being responded to or even acknowledged. No-one is available to discuss giving me little option other than to refer the matter to the Legal Ombudsman. The immense stress and frustration this has caused could and should have been avoided - especially given the circumstances with the sad loss of a loved relative. This has had a profound and devastating effect.

Edit Jan 2026: Thank you for your reply. However I see no evidence you take concerns raised seriously. My complaint of 22 Sept 2025 remains unanswered- some 15 weeks after it was raised notwithstanding the 6-8 week timescale advertised on your website. There appears to have been a complete breakdown in your processes and client orientation. Your faux concern is frankly insulting given the shambolic way you have mis-managed my affairs

Terrible company, awful communication, dragged out the house purchase for 6 months. Gave awful advice and reported findings incorrectly to lender. Impossible to get hold of.

It is 27 years since we moved last. Things have changed drastically in the Property Market. Having MWB on our side has been fantastic, they are local, they know the area, know who to talk to and know all the Estate Agents. Having a trusted Legal Team supporting us in both our sale and purchase was a very wise choice.
