I had a great experience using Lunarcat, especially with Mercari bid items. I found a figure I wanted, and it wasn't available anywhere else besides the bidding section on Mercari, which Lunarcat helped me purchase.

They communicated their fees well and took photos of the item I ordered to make sure it was acceptable. It was then shipped and arrived in good time too. I appreciate their help with my proxy needs

LunarCat has been my go-to proxy for all Japanese goods. I’m a doll collector located in the US, with most of my collection coming from Japan, and one of the issues I’ve run into over the years is that local artists tend to only sell within a certain radius of their prefecture. I’ve used multiple proxy websites, which are decent, but none comes close to the responsiveness and personal touch of LunarCat. Communication is always fantastic, the website is easy to use, and they are one of the only proxys able to handle Mercari bids. I’ve bought many high-price items through LunarCat and everything is ordered and shipped quickly, with excellent package padding/ protection. It can be nerve-racking to use a new buying service, but I can confidently say you’re in good hands using LunarCat. Easy website navigation, there’s a record of all your orders, and you can pay with PayPal. 10/10

I put out a Reddit ad for a unique purchase at an in-person event that I couldn’t make it to personally. I had already requested the services of another proxy shopper, but the item required some extra handling because it was a substantial weight (11kg/24lbs), and I knew it would be a hassle lugging the packaged box around, so I decided to hire out a single shopper for just the one item.

LunarCat reached out to me within a day, and despite my item falling within a custom order as per their site designations, was able to quickly outline expected travel and misc expenses (ticket prices, etc.) Payment was quick and easy via Wise, and we were all set.

As it turned out, my original shopper was able to work out accommodations for the item, so I wound up not needing LunarCat’s help in the end. But they were extremely prompt in refunding me when I informed them I no longer needed their services, and were overall very pleasant and easy to work with.

Lunar Cat was reasuring, professional and just had really great customer service. They made the process easy to understand as I'd never used a personal shopper before. They explained the cost upfront and there were no hidden fees or surprises.
