After getting several different quotes we decided to go with Loftplan.

As soon as the paperwork was signed, and a date was giving for the work to commence we knew we made the right decision!! From our first visit with Nick, we felt very safe with what was going to happen to our house.

The scaffold team were very professional and polite and explained how this was be constructed, also allowing access to house and driveway for a very busy family of 6! Very understanding of us needing to use our bi-fold doors at the back of the property and erected the scaffold around our requests with no hesitation.

The first fix started with Dan and Bill, the communication, guidance, and professionalism were second to none! All steps advised. I was very heavily pregnant at the time but still knew exactly what was happening during the first fix. I even got some pictures taken of the loft because I was unable to see. They worked consistently hard in all weather conditions.

The communication from the supervisors Bob and Kev was great, always kept in the loop of everything happening. Any questions we had they were answered straight away and made sure anything needing doing that we always had the right man for the job!

The second fix started with plastering – the guys are amazing at what they do, the finish is outstanding. Dave the carpenter is top quality, you didn’t even have to ask of how you wanted the finishing touches to look, he already had them in mind. We were amazed at the workmanship.

The plumbers had complicated job with our ensuite Aqualisa shower, the tight swing into our small ensuite everything was measured to the tiniest mm to make sure there were no collides with other areas. Again, always advised with every step.

Nicola in the office is very approachable and communicated with us every step of the way from start to finish.

Would I recommend Loftplan?
Absolutely without no hesitation! I cannot pick one fault with this company.

In our experience, good builders communicate well, rectify problems when they occur, come up with creative solutions when needed and most importantly, finish the job by seeing to the snags.  We found Loftplan to be extremely good at all these things and although the job took a long time to complete - a fault of world circumstances more than any fault of Loftplan's - we were extremely pleased with the result which was, at the end of the day, what we cared about most.  We also really enjoyed working with Loftplan because they had pride in their work and wanted it to be good - this takes so much stress out of a build because you don't have to be on anyone's back chasing people to get things right.  They are doing that for you.  We had a couple of hiccups during our build that meant work had to be undone to get it right.  In previous builds, our builders have refused to unpick their work and we have had to live with it.  This time, Bob saw the problem even before we did and got the guys to re-do some work that set them back around 4 days.  This experience meant that when we spotted another problem, I didn't have to sit up worrying all night because I knew it would be sorted out immediately.  During building projects however much you plan, problems can and do occur and for us, the way these problems are handled is the difference between having a good or bad experience.  I would wholeheartedly recommend Loftplan and if i could, I would use them for every building project we do in the future.  I would especially like to mention Ben whose cheerful manner and hard work set us off to such a good start with the company.  We were very sad when he left for another job!  Many thanks to everyone else too - everyone on site was a pleasure to have around.  As for our loft, it has definitely changed our lives already.

Loftplan has done a great job converting our loft. Their floor design ensures that as little as possible height is lost, resulting in more usable floorspace. Team is very professional with great attention to detail and timely and responsive communication. Very pleased!

From start to finish, the guys I worked with in this project were all great, from Nic providing the initial design, Mike and Callum doing the structural work in my loft, the guys who installed the new stairs going up to the loft and the plasterers, Sam the plumber, Dean the carpenter and Kevin the 2nd fix super visor, they all made my loft conversion project as smooth as possible. Great communication through out, advice and guidance on decisions I had to make, great quality work, and really responsive if something needed some additional attention. I am very pleased and would definitely recommend Loftplan.

After getting several different quotes we decided to go with Loftplan, we have a timber framed structure and Loftplan were the only ones that were completely confident in how they would carry out the job, without potential additional charges. We felt confident that they knew what they were doing.

The first fix started with Mike and Andy, we can’t recommend them highly enough, the quality of their work was outstanding, they were friendly and accommodating. Also highly recommend Sam the plumber who is very skilled at his job. Shaun the carpenter who worked tirelessly and patiently to get things exactly how we wanted them. Then finally Brian who did the final finishing touches to get things perfect ready for decorating.

We’re very happy with the huge space that we now have and after deliberating for so long we’re so glad we decided to go ahead with the work.

A truly great experience from start to finish. From the initial planning phase, on to the first fit team and then the second fit team, the entire process was really well communicated and completed. With all parts of the build managed by Loftplan, it was stress-free for us. A big thanks to Nicola, Ben, Mike, Dean, Bob & Kevin for being so professional. Usually I am not the type of person to write a review after completion of works but in this case we are absolutely delighted and have had our expectations surpassed with the loft conversion carried out by Loftplan.

From the very start the communication between Nicola and the office staff and ourselves was relaxed and whenever we needed answers the response was quick and efficient. The use of great tradesmen and supervisors like Kevin and Bob made the job a lot easier and shout out's will also go to Mike & Cam for their structural work, the scaffolding lads who looked after our rear glass conservatory and all of the interior trades who were all professional and very approachable. The build went really well and the difference it has made is astounding. Disruption was kept to a minimum and we were always kept in the loop regarding schedules and any changes or indeed selection of materials and extras.
The finished project has surpassed our expectations and has provided us with a very beautiful and spacious bedroom and en-suite.
We would recommend them without hesitation.

We had loftplan complete our conversion and from start to finish the work was out standing. Big thanks to Warren, Jordan who started the job and helped me up the ladder (I have a fear of ladders). The carpentry that Martin did is perfect. I 100% would recommend them.

We're so glad we chose Loftplan to add a double dormer extension to our chalet bungalow. Whilst the quote was slightly higher than using a local builder, the extension was more comprehensive than a conventional 'loft conversion' and involved reconfiguring our entire upstairs floor plan, so we really needed help with project management.

Throughout the entire project, all tradesmen had a refreshing, professional and positive can-do attitude. We were working from home throughout but as much disruption as possible was mitigated. All tradesmen were a joy to be around (as a youngish female, I haven't always found this to be the case with other companies).

Loftplan definitely put the customer first! With an office presence and dedicated building supervisors, you are constantly in the loop with excellent communication throughout - we didn't think it was possible for the project to run so smoothly. The payment schedule means you pay a percentage once a milestone has been hit - we found this an extremely fair and sensible approach.

A huge shout-out to Ritchie (our first fit builder) who was extremely hard working and reliable. He worked tirelessly to ensure minimal disruption - a previous builder said we would be out of our bedroom for 2 months, but Ritchie ensured it was only 2 days! At the end of each day, he closed off access routes to the unfinished attic to prevent our 2 young curious cats from getting into trouble!

The electricians - Dave, Andy and Charlie were fantastic and were happy to do extra electric work for us (which we paid them separately for). Same for the plumbers who did a great job installing our new bathroom. Dave the carpenter had an excellent eye for detail when building our new wardrobes and banister. Kevin the second fit supervisor also has a great eye for detail and was extremely communicative.

Whilst Loftplan cover almost everything - you do have to employ a separate bathroom tiler and decorator at the end. Loftplan explained this upfront - but we did struggle to find a reliable and efficient external tiler, which held up installation of the bathroom. This was down to availability of tilers though - not Loftplans fault.

Compared to our neighbours who completed the same extension work with a local builder and several subcontractors, our experience was stress free and absolutely worth the extra cost. We're just gutted that Loftplan don't do kitchens - our next job! We 100% recommend them to anyone who is looking for the most stress free way to convert their loft!

We are extremely happy customers and would happily recommend Loftplan to others wishing to have a loft conversion. We would also certainly use Loftplan again in the future!! In Covid restricted times, the build kept close to the anticipated schedule even during difficult times and sourcing difficulties. Work was completed efficiently and to a high standard. The team we met were friendly, professional and kept us updated on the day to day progression. The end product is better than we had hoped for when we first decided to go down this route. Thankyou Loftplan for massively improving our family home :)

I would highly recommend Loftplan to anyone, I have asked if they can finish the project on a specific date and they have met the deadline.

I am very pleased with the results and especially the plastering as my loft had some weird corners and curves.

Loft plan recently completed our loft extension. The service was great from the first meeting. They were accommodating with getting the loft exactly how we wanted it and offered good advice along the way. We can’t fault the quality of the work and the finished loft extension is an amazing new space. All of the team were polite and professional. We would highly recommend using Loftplan.

Loftplan was contracted to turn our dark and murky loft into a shiny new master bedroom and they did not fail.

The design phase was quick and hassle free with any outstanding questions resolved to ensure we were happy before committing.

Work began when Warren & Jordan arrived to construct the new space and to add the dormer. These guys were the ultimate professionals ensuring everything went according to plan - even when we were away on holiday for 2 weeks and returned to find they were ahead of schedule! The site was left tidy and secure every day as the guys were aware we had kids and a dog. Warren and Jordan were super friendly and got on really well with our family and also our dog!

Dave & Elliott then picked up the baton continuing to insulate and plasterboard the new space - again very customer focussed and keeping us informed of what was going on.

Once the new loft bedroom was opened to the existing house a handover to internal teams was completed.

Due to COVID we had a few resource delays but no material sourcing issues that were being experienced elsewhere in the industry.

Our internal foreman Kevin did a good job of aligning the different trades for the internal build, new stairs, plumbing, electrics, plastering & carpentry. Kevin ensured all queries and snags were resolved by the right team.

Sam the plumber and Andy the electrician were really helpful, provided some good advice and resolved any issues.

Special mention to the carpenters Martin & Brian who were dedicated and masters of their trade ensuring the final woodwork and new stairs looked immaculate.

Once all work was complete the scaffolding was removed and any broken roof tiles replaced to ensure everything was back to the way it was - thanks to the scaffolders and roofers!

All this backed up and supported very efficiently by Nicola our contact back at the Loftplan office.

Would I recommend Loftplan?
Absolutely. We now have an amazing new bedroom with en-suite bathroom and Loftplan over exceeded on our expectations.

I cannot recommend this company highly enough. The team at Loftplan from start to finish were professional, courteous and really cared about the quality of their work which was to a very high standard. They cleaned up regularly and kept my home as clean as possible during the works. All trades that passed through my home were lovely and very respectful. They made it a pleasurable experience for me and I would highly recommend to anyone! I am really pleased with the end result which has added value and space.

We have just had a wonderful loft bedroom and ensuite built by loftplan and are so pleased with the results.

First of all the salesman who quoted was excellent. We looked into quotes before we had even moved in to the house, and the quote and waiting time were both accurate and reasonable.

The scaffolding arrived just before Christmas,and gave us something to hang our lights off! From the scaffolders to the builders, plasterers, plumbers electricians etc etc who worked on the build,they were polite and hardworking, Alex and John the builders came to work one day in February, scraped the snow off the roof and started work. The way of working,which involved not having to enter the house until the staircase was built was great as the build started a week into the 3rd lockdown,and we had myself and two teenagers working online throughout the build.
Nothing was too much trouble for Alex and John (as long as you kept warming them up with black coffee with two sugars) They worked hard, not missing a day. They kept us informed of what was going to happen when, as did the first fix manager. The only thing I would say is that we had to make some decisions quite early on and it was difficult to envisage what it was going to look like, particularly as due to movement issues I couldn't climb the ladder up to the loft. Some sort of VR would be useful for seeing how the space was going to look, when picking bathrooms etc. We made an error with where we put the radiator due to this, leaving no space for wardrobes, although loftplan were quick to rectify this and moved the radiator at no extra charge.
The organisational skills of loft plan were fantastic. Very little time was lost as materials were always there when needed and plumbers etc scheduled when necessary.
Once Alex and John had finished it was time for the staircase and the plastering. The staircase and ceiling were a work of art, very Gaudi-esque, and once again very well built. The knocking through was no where near as distruptive or as messy as we expected, mostly due to the care taken and the hoovering which was done faithfully at the end of every day!
Kevin the 2nd fix guy, was thorough and detailed in his list of snags, and everything was carefully completed or repaired by Brian, who had a great attention to detail. Nothing was rushed and it did take slightly longer than the 12 week estimate, but it was well worth it. My only slight cricticism is that,once the initial build was completed, things slowed down quite a bit and communication was not always as good as we would have liked, although being in the middle of a lockdown didn't help!
The end result is a lovely room which certainly has the 'wow' factor. I felt they cared about the room as much as we did and, on the whole, every member of Loft plan staff were polite, hardworking and great at their job. True craftsmen.

We recently contracted Loftplan to install our new loft conversion, which has now transformed an unused Victorian roof space into two new bedrooms, an en-suite shower and a spectacular roof terrace.

Our experience has been exceptional from start to finish and we are extremely pleased with our new living space.

Kyle’s design maximises the available loft space and ensures we have large rooms, high headroom, good ergonomics and plenty of built in storage.

Following the initial design and planning phase, Loftplan were able to successfully secure permissions within 8 weeks, even during the difficult backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The scaffold was erected with minimum disruption to neighbours, and we were pleased to learn we wouldn’t have to install a large tin structure above the roof as appears to be common in our area.

The build commenced soon after, and our first fix teams Mike, Andy, John and Alex were polite, punctual, efficient and worked hard in all weathers. We were kept informed at each point of the build and they were happy to accommodate small layout changes throughout the first fix, helping us carefully think through each decision. We worked from home throughout the entire project and it was incredible to see the speed of progress as the shell of our conversion began to take form.

Mark and David are extremely skilled and efficient carpenters, who have made sure our internal fixtures are designed and built to a high standard. The built-in wardrobes in particular exceeded our expectations.

2nd fix supervisor Kevin provided us with expert advice and knowledge, helping coordinate the carpenters and electrician, as well as the plumbers and tilers who installed our en-suite bathroom and wet room to perfect precision. The final finish is magnificent, and we have received many compliments from our guests and other tradespeople who have visited since.

The plasterer Kevin and electrician Dave were also professional and hard working, together with their respective teams. All office staff were available and responsive whenever we had a query.

The final result is a spectacular, spacious and modern living area that has transformed our life at home significantly.
