We were very impressed with the workmanship and professionalism we received from Loftplan and the friendliness of everyone we had contact with. Alan at the start was very responsive and helpful and immediately made us feel in safe hands. Our first-fix team (Dean and Lee, supervised by Bob) were amazing, they felt like part of the family and really made us feel like they wanted the best for us and worked hard to achieve it, giving us ideas and advice along the way. Our second-fix supervisor Kevin was very approachable and worked with us to take our loft through to a completion that we were very happy with. We would ( and have) recommend Loftplan to anyone considering a conversion.

We have been very impressed and very pleased with Loft Plans service through out the process from initial planning to building and completion. All the employees of loft plan have been friendly, professional and great with our large family of children and pets! Bob made the process smooth and quickly sorted any minor issues. Ian and Jo were fabulous at building and improving the build with great ideas, along with answering our questions! On the second fix Kevin in particular was great at coordinating all the workmen and keeping us fully informed of what was happening and when. We also highly recommend Dave the carpenter. His work is of very high quality. We would not hesitate to recommend Loftplan to anyone!

We first invited LoftPlan to quote in 2018, and since then we have had nothing but admiration for the company & their employees. They work tirelessly throughout the process & there is no hard selling from day one. The designer who visited us was clearly very knowledgeable about loft conversions & had done this many times before over a long career. With his help we had a number of different options to choose from with respect to the design of the roof, staircase & general layout of the rooms. At that time we were not ready to make the investment & we did get many other quotes in the interim period, but something about LoftPlan stuck out. The company is a specialist in loft conversions & this is clear from the planning & professionalism experienced since. Managing all the specialist trades themselves (many in direct employment), we knew that this would be necessity during the covid pandemic!

You are assigned supervisors throughout the project, one for the structural construction (ours was Bob) & the second for the latter finishing stages (Kevin). There is also a customer manager (Nicola) assigned in the head office, should you have any non-build related questions! The supervisors were easily accessible via phone calls & text messages, any questions we had were dealt with promptly & efficiently throughout the process; From planning permission through to final snagging, we were kept informed, with excellent project management working behind the scenes in head office to arrange & deliver material to site, just be ready to have somewhere to put it all!

When planning is complete & the scaffolding goes up, the company continues to impress with how they try not to disrupt the lives of the incumbents. Taking a few hours on day one to rig up power & knock through the roof, the team of two (led by Richie in our case) let themselves in from the scaffolding for the whole build period. You can visit them to discuss progress & make minor design decisions, but until they need to knock through for the stairs later in the build, they just get on with it! The noise is keep to a minimum but obviously they do have a job to do & you only have plasterboard between you, so don’t expect not to hear them, although I was rarely disturbed enough to not be able to converse in conference calls.

When the main structure is complete & the dormers built, the roofing is professionally completed (any broken tiles fixed), windows & all trim in place, then the stairs go in, the scaffolding comes down & the trades begin to enter via your home. This is not problem as they always give notice prior to visiting & lay down sheets or plastic to protect your existing home to create a path up to the new loft! They also tidy up every evening before they leave, so you don’t know that they’ve even been there!

Different trades visit throughout to prepare the loft for electricity (Dave & team) & plumbing (Alan), again there is interaction & consultation with regard to positioning of light switches/fittings & sockets etc. as well as the layout of the fittings in the shower room. Your existing house below the loft may dictate some of the positioning but Loftplan know what to recommend as all their tradesmen have done many conversions before.

The plastering team were excellent & dealt with some difficult angles & surfaces around the stairs & dormer windows with precision. Where the floor below had to be altered to fit a waste pipe, these surfaces were boxed in, plaster-boarded & made good.

All of the trades we had were very friendly, knowledgeable & professional; the one that impressed us the most was Mark, he is an excellent carpenter & turns a blank plaster canvas into what really starts to look like the finished article. He has a vast array of skills & goes above & beyond his own speciality to provide a beautiful finish by dealing with some of the snagging.

Throughout the pandemic, LoftPlan were able to continue working on our property, with some minor delays due to material availability & staff illness, both totally understandable in the current climate! They remained in constant communication throughout to keep us informed of the new dates & plan to finalise the build.

Our children have now lived in the two loft rooms for over a month & they love it. They have far more space & their own shower room making them far more independent as they enter their teenage years.

Looking back on the whole experience, it was the perfect time to expand & LoftPlan was the ideal company to partner with. The agreed cost of our build even went down a little when LoftPlan gave us a rebate when we didn’t need as many fire alarms as they initially calculated! We did not request this, they just did it through honesty, integrity & good will!

We have no hesitation in recommending Loftplan to friends & family & strangers!

Loftplan were recommended to us by friends who had used them for their house in Andover, and from the outset we were impressed.

Work started on the loft conversion in November 2020 and we cannot praise Iain and Joe, our team for the first fix, highly enough. They were professional and courteous, and nothing was too much trouble. As an example, as we are unable to climb ladders to inspect their work in progress, Iain took many photos for us and also video called us from the loft so we could see inside. They worked their socks off, taking real pride in their work and it was all completed to an extremely high standard.

Once the stairs were in, the second fix team took over and Kevin and Sean were marvellous, Kevin kept us fully informed about progress throughout, who would be coming and when (plumbers, electricians etc) - and everyone was very flexible to work around our availability. Kevin answered all our questions quickly, his communication was excellent.

Now the loft build is complete, we remain very happy with our decision to use Loftplan and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone considering a loft conversion.

Really happy with our new loft conversion, which has transformed our house! The whole team have been excellent throughout, which is even more praiseworthy taking into account the difficulties of the pandemic.
Polite, professional and considerate, the team also provided excellent advice from the initial planning stages and throughout the build, which was really helpful and reassuring.
The end result has been completed to a very high standard and we would have no hesitations in recommending Loftplan.

Brilliant experience all the way through, lovely people to deal with, felt very safe from a Covid point of view and we now have our dream loft conversion- very happy to recommend.

From start to finish we have been very impressed with LoftPlan.

After our initial consultation with Nic we knew we were going to be in safe hands. LoftPlans workmanship has been to a high standard and we are over the moon with the transformation made to our forever home.

Rich and Lian were our 1st stage builders were very good at their job, always on time and kept the site tidy. Our 1st stage project manager Bob was very helpful at resolving any concerns and always kept us up to date as we progressed throughout the project.

Our finisher project manager Kevin was also fantastic who listened to our wishes on the final touches which have totally transformed our space. Martin the carpenter was a great craftsman who has an eye for detail too.

Nicola in the office was always on hand to answer any queries - responding almost immediately to each email or telephone call.

Overall we would give LoftPlan more than 5 stars if it was possible. I would recommend them to anyone who is considering a professional loft conversion to a very high standard - with no hidden costs!

I now have a much needed 3rd bedroom thanks to Loftplan. They are an incredibly professional company, with fantastic teams of people. From the start, Mike and Andy were the first team and were so polite and considerate. The build was constantly checked by site managers Bob and Kevin who were very quick to rectify anything they felt could be improved. Nicola in the office also kept me updated on the next steps which was so helpful. They were all a pleasure to deal with.
I can’t thank everyone enough and I wish I remembered all the names - from the scaffolding team, the plumbers, plasterers, the chaps that installed the stairs, the carpenters, electricians, they were all a great friendly bunch and worked to such high standards. At the end of each day everything was always left spotless! I definitely recommend Loftplan, it was a very stress free project for me!

We have never done anything on this scale before and spoke to many companies in researching our loft conversion. From the outset we were impressed with Loftplan and their 'can do' attitude.

Throughout the project every member of the team was helpful, polite and respectful of the fact that it was a home, putting sheets down and tidying up each day. (especially Steve and Harry who cheerfully worked through some awful weather!) We were always given plenty of notice for works that would interrupt water or electricity and when we would need to arrange things like skips.

Bob, Kevin and Nicola were brilliant. They were frequently in touch checking on progress, answering the 100s of questions we had and making sure we were happy. You really feel like they are on your side.

All in all we couldn't be happier - we love the new space we have and would definitely recommend Loftplan to anyone.

I chose Loftplan over the competitors as I like their design most and their price was comparable to others. They did fantastic job, few years on I haven't had any problems with my loft so far.

They finished on time, and within quoted price. They were clean, professional and along the way gave me few good ideas to improve the design (like keep existing alcove and put some feature lights in there, instead of closing it off).

They didn't try to upsell (I wanted a Juliette balcony and they told me, before construction, that it will not look good as it will be too narrow and suggested to swap for a regular window - cheaper. Now seeing a regular window I agree, they were right).

Since my extension I've been recommending Loftplan to my neighbours. Yes, you will pay more than if you were hiring individual contractors, but for the price you get peace of mind and a fully managed project - they will deal with all the permits, council, building controls and certificates.

Loftplan completed a really excellent conversion of our loft. They were responsive throughout, and the results are great. All members of the team were courteous and helpful.

We are thrilled with the work you have done, particularly as we gave such a vague explanation of our needs. The space has become part yoga studio. part office and part chill-out zone. Impressed by the lack of disruption, the friendliness of the team, the slick project management. Can only remember Nicola, Kevin and Martin off-hand but all of you should be proud of your work.

Fantastic company! Brilliant, quality finish! We have a fabulous bedroom and bathroom in our loft now thanks to Loftplan! The quote was reasonable and did not deviate. Every member of the team were professional and friendly throughout, nothing was ever too much trouble and they were respectful of not making too much mess. What a brilliant company!!! We highly recommend them!!! We have gained 2 wonderful bedrooms and a lovely shower room.

Like others we were unsure about who to contact and who to get quotes off of for our loft which is quite a commitment. After receiving a handful of quotes from local companies Loft Plan stood out from them all.

What we loved was there was no pressure at all to commit or sign the contract. Alan attended to quote us and was so professional. He walked us through the build and what potential we had whilst also keeping it realistic.

The office were very professional and Nicola kept us up to speed at every turn. Once we were signed up she was very informative in regards to the start date and material delivery with what we needed to do.

The build itself was carried out to a very high standard. Bob supervised our first fix and Kevin supervised our second fix. Both were very friendly, professional and approachable in regards to any questions and issues (especially out of hours). Any problems or snags were rectified asap and we have no complaints at all with their attention to detail and running of the build.

Now onto the real hero's. The build team themselves. These guys were as professional as they come and really surprised us with their time keeping, professionalism, skills, communication and all round behaviour. At no time during the whole build did we have any issues with the lads. Warren got our dormer frames up in two days followed by Dean and Lee who carried out our first fix which started on time and they were a joy to have around the house. They arrived on time every day, spoke about the works that were being carried out and the scope going forward. They were also very tidy and even kept the neighbours informed and respected their property and happiness. They let us pop up daily and see the build as it progressed and adapted to any little changes we made along the way. Both were very polite around the kids and were more then happy to explain the whole process.

Ricky who did our roofing was very professional and worked hard especially when it came to helping us decide on our tiles etc. One of our main worries was the material drop offs etc and the disruption outside. The delivery team was fantastic, no issues and the front of the house was kept very tidy.

Our second fix was carried out to a high standard with our carpenter Sean doing a brilliant job on the finer details and additional works on the old stairs, as well as sorting the boxing in around the new waste pipe in our old bathroom. he was very tidy and ensured our house was sheeted up for every job no matter how big or small. He was more then happy to answer any questions and explain what was happening each day. The electricians Ron and Graham did a professional job on all the electrics and there was little to no disruption when wiring the loft and new smokes throughout the house. Both of them were very happy to talk you through the work and explain anything that we were unsure about.

The plumbing teams led by Reggie and Sam were also very informative and hard working especially when plumbing onto our old systems. We are loving the look of our new shower room and they went above and beyond to ensure our boiler and radiators coped during and after the works.

There was little to no mess in our house through the whole process. The plasterers did a top job and rectified any cracks in the rooms below without fuss. The staircase team were so tidy especially as we had a bedroom wall taken out. You wouldn't of know either team had been in the house after they had left.

Bearing in mind this all took place during a pandemic it goes to show what a professional company we had on our hands. They were brilliant around our kids and left our downstairs utility room in a clean condition after each day. We loved having them all here. Hard working, polite (no swearing) informative, and tidy.

We have to decorate so only have the one picture for the minute. But thank you Loft Plan. Highly recommend!!!!!!!

Loft converted to a very high standard! We chose Loftplan due to positive reviews and were not disappointed. The entire team are great from initial appointment to final sign off, special mention to Steve, Sean, Terry, Reggie - all very professional and conscientious throughout the build. Project started in November and finished in March, the team pulled together through two lockdowns to keep the build moving, we are incredibly happy with the end result. We would definitely recommend Loftplan.

I chose LoftPlan as friends and colleagues of mine had also had their lofts converted and were very complimentary, this goes a long way to ensuring your investment will work. Whilst Covid was amongst us the team, Dan & Bill who did the structure in fact all the hard work were lovely, they kept me informed throughout, were punctual and would provide very valuable feedback on questions we needed answering. Bob who looks after the builds well he was great in his advise and would keep the team abreast of any discussions/changes that were required. The electricians, i forget their names were also great and again offered sound advise whilst drinking my tea & coffee.....Big shout out to Martin the chippy, what a nice person and worked like a trojan in building my new wardrobe, stairs, skirting etc etc you did a great job. Kev for keeping me informed along the way and Alan for plumbing in my bathroom.

We were very happy during our contact with all of the Loftplan team, from inception through to final completion, and felt at ease letting them into our home. At all times they were polite and respectful. The works were planned in a way that minimised impact and once the works started there was a continuous presence on site right up to final snagging and completion.
We are extremely pleased with the end result and they have earned this 5* review.

Great company, friendly and professional staff, very happy with the loft conversion and with the service during and after completion of the work

We got several quotes for our planned loft conversion; Loftplan had done the original partial conversion 20 years previously and we could see the owners at the time were happy with their work, so it seemed a ‘no-brainer’ to use them again.
Nick & James devised a great plan taking into account the existing loft staircase.
Despite the pandemic & terrible weather, our project started end October 2020.
The scaffolders (Scottie & team) were great and put up the structure to have minimal impact on our neighbours.
External build team Chris & Dan worked really hard in very rainy conditions to build and make water-tight our side dormers. Bob supervised throughout and if we had any issues, got them sorted efficiently.
Roofers Jason & Bradley were brilliant with their work - looked great and completed in a week. Nothing was too much trouble, fixing a couple of leak issues we had had prior to work and clearing gutters etc. Jason’s tiling work looks fantastic (& again, completed during difficult weather!).
Chris handed over to Dave & Elliot who continued the hard work constructing the internal build. Again, working long hours in difficult conditions & even working a couple of Saturdays to keep everything on track; completed by early Dec!
Sparky Dave & team were excellent too- travelling a long distance and working long hours to sort out lights,alarms & sockets.
Mid Dec, a team of 4 plasterers, Percy & co, turned up and did all the plastering in a day - 2 large double rooms; we were delighted and pleased with the speedy progress.
Last but not least, Dean put the icing on the cake in January, working hard to complete the carpentry under Kevin’s supervision.
All if this underpinned by Nicola in the office team; always up to speed on our project.
Highly recommend using them- maybe in another 20 years, you’ll be back on site!!!
