My first experience of using Leightons for ear wax removal has been excellent. The booking and confirmation of the appointment was efficient and polite. The interaction with Elenor O'Nyons was professional and informative. She explained clearly what she had observed, removed the wax from both ears proficiently by microsuction and then helpfully carried out a hearing test. She displayed a genuine caring interest in her patient/customer and was not just 'doing a job',

Went for a hearing assessment and was seen by Dr Sheena Ruparelia. She was fantastic. She discussed the process clearly and positively, carried out numerous tests and explained the results without being patronising or confusing. This was a very positive experience. There was no hard-sell at the end and I left with a range of recommendations to consider. I will be going back. Highly recommended

My appointment with Eleanor was on time and I was made very welcome.
She explained in detail what she was about to do in removing wax from my ears and carried this out in a professional manner.

Friendly staff many of whom have been in the employment of Leighton's for years, high quality customer service received on every visit, thorough eye tests by superb opticians who take the time to explain their observations and to answer questions. Can't fault the service I have received from Leightons (3 different outlets) over the past 20 years.

I needed wax removal and my clinician Elenor was brilliant. She explained what was happening at every step. I was very nervous and she kept me calm and while being friendly and professional. The only reason my experience was not 5 star is the unfortunate high cost of the procedure.

I’ve just had my ear wax removal procedure today by a lovely specialist called Sheena. She was absolutely fantastic! I’m delighted with the results I can finally hear again after suffering a while and trying all the ear drops. She was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The procedure was very quick and painless and she guided through everything. Highly recommend!!

Dr Sheena Ruparelia carried out a full examination of my ears after experiencing loss of hearing in my right ear. After diagnosing wax build up close to my ear drum she removed it within seconds with no pain and restored my hearing to stereo. I cannot thank the team enough at Leightons for getting me an appointment so quickly. I’m getting married on Friday so I am even more grateful.

On arrival, after a quick inspection, sheene recommended the best treatment to clear my severely blocked ears. She was very pleasant and professional and I couldn't be more happy with the service I received. More hearing is now great, and no more blocked ears.

I booked an appointment on the phone and received a phone call reminder a couple of days prior to my visit.

I was greeted exactly on time by Dr Sheena Ruparelia, who took me through a detailed question and answer session to establish my health status and expectations.

I was then examined to see if treatment was necessary and shown visually images of my ears, which I could see clearly required treatment .

Treatment options were offered, agreed upon and carried out, with full explanations of how it would feel whilst in progress- no issue, no pain simply light sensations!!

I was then again shown the ear canal and could clearly see the ear drum , which was not visible prior to the treatment. My hearing in the left ear was immediately rectified after a year of procrastination!!!

My overall hearing was then thoroughly tested and explained to me against set criteria.

This is 5 star treatment, professionally handled - and my problem solved in an hour.

Great Service in a world where customers/ patients are often not treated with total respect.

I took my elderly mother (86) who is a dementia sufferer for a hearing test - we had previously had little success getting Mum to process response based sound recognition when tested elsewhere due to her condition and therefore getting a diagnosis had proved impossible. Sheena delivered the testing and worked really well with Mum to enable us to complete enough measurement / responses to confirm Mum's particular areas of hearing loss and make a recommendation for a suitable hearing aid moving forward - we now need to balance the ability to provide hearing improvement (and the cost associated with this) with Mum's ability to remember to wear the hearing aids regularly. Sheena recommended that we take some time out to think this through and we will look to revisit the conversation again soon. As with every visit to this practice, we're ever impressed with the care and attention the entire team provide and would absolutely recommend using them for eyesight / hearing care
