Placed an order online and received a confirmation email but never got any confirmation of shipment. Order never received, have emailed several times, once they replied and said they would locate the order or issue a refund that day which never happened.

After visiting a Norwich store with my partner, Kofra beans quickly became our favourite coffee. I ordered a bag of coffee beans online for my partners birthday, well in advance. I sent an email closer to the date, as I had not heard anything regarding my order other than a confirmation email. Her birthday then passed… with none of her favourite coffee beans to open. I have sent my second email today, and have still heard nothing. I am well and truly let down by this buisness and would really like my money back. Why operate an online store if you are unable to send out your orders? It appears this is a theme of Kofra.

Avoid the online store. The coffee is good. I like the coffee shops but customer service is terrible and delivery mistakes are made by the online business. There is never any response from their contact email and there's no phone number listed on the website.

We had been loyal customers of Kofra for many years after discovering their coffee in Brighton. However just before Christmas we purchased 3 bags of beans online, and they never came. £45 left our account but no confirmation email and no coffee. We emailed the management email address multiple times with no answer. There is no phone number listed. I eventually made contact with the owner via one of their stockists, and he promised to look into the transaction and issue a refund that night. He was very apologetic so I believed him. However, over a week and many reminders from me later, we have received nothing and he has stopped replying. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. The coffee is good in my view, but if you choose to buy online and have any issues, be prepared to never see that money again.

I recommend not ordering coffee from them. Not only their coffee is overpriced but also the way they operate their business is highly unprofessional and dangerous. For a start, their coffee bean bags are simply zip bags and they can open easily. One of my bean bags was left open during delivery, spilling beans inside the parcel. They do not write roast dates, best-before-end dates or expiry dates. Some bean bags looked old and damaged.

I ordered coffee beans from them which was mis-described on the website. I subsequently sent in a complaint and request for rectification which was ignored. The coffee I got from the shop was nice but the mis-selling left a bitter aftertaste.

Pricey for such an average customer service.

I bought 3 packages of their coffee and apparently they were delivered the day after, but someone must have stolen the parcel because I received nothing.

They should have provided a tracking number at least. I spent £37 for 3 packages of 250g each.
Never buying from them again.

Overpriced beans (nearly double that of other artisan roasters) that do not even have a roasted on date marked on the packaging. Racks of them on the shelf not selling for weeks, so no, they cannot be freshly roasted.
As for the drinking experience, there were kilos of beans in the hoppers going stale by the minute which no doubt contributed to mediocre coffee.
The staff, coffee, beans, packaging design... the whole operation stunk of hipster cash-in. The only reason they continue to get away with it must surely be their target demographic of students and other young adults.
Unfathomable how they have so many 5* reviews elsewhere and are still in business.
It's great that specialist coffee is on the high street now in the UK and becoming more and more well represented by the day, but Kofra is not the way it should be done.
