Incompetent contractors that have no care about the roads, road safety, vehicle damage and the people that are being affected. Numerous pothole reports from residents are just patched up cheaply so they reopen a few months later and get paid for doing the same job again. They take no responsibility with claims for vehicle damage and its only a matter of time before there is a serious damage in the NNC area. Anyone else showing this sort of neglect in their job would be sacked. RIP up their contract now and get someone in who.can do the job.

Responsible for road maintenance,due to a contract with my local council. Holes are left to form to craters for months, when finally repaired they leave numerous holes nearby and "repairs" last a matter of weeks if lucky, before crumbling and making the hole worse.

Absoloute disgrace of a company who have been repeatedly been giving the road maintenance contract from NNC since 2008, and in the last 3-5 years roads have really deteriorated to the point of very dangerous.

No questions seem to be asked of these cowboys who do not fix the roads properly and seem to gain contract renewal from NNC every single time. Absolute corruption at its best and the government really do need to step in before lives are lost due to the negligence and greed.
Would be safer to drive on Ukrainian roads which is obviously a war torn country

Sad thing is it’s taken close to year for you to get back to me but buy now the damage has already been done. 6 months onto a graduate scheme and to be treated the way I was by kier was disgusting. I have not been able to get back into construction on to a graduate or traineeship at all since kier. Thanks for ruining me.

I am concerned that they are building for the sake of building.

I worked for sheffield city council for 20yrs brilliant company. Then this disgusting company kier sheffield took over. I worked for them for 10yr I sold my home to live on site as a caretaker then they decided they wanted the house back as a office/classroom. So I was told the firebook hadn't been filled in properly there were dates missing that needed filling in and pressurised me into filling it in Then sacked me 4days before Xmas for falsifying paper work. Please stear clear of this disgusting company the managers were sue.vaugh martin Hill, Rodney trotter

Absolutely shocking how they treat their staff!!
A site that I’m working on adjacent to them lost their water supply - no water at all so even the toilets weren’t working. The guys downed tools and were promptly told to either get back to work or get off site and don’t bother coming back.
Disgusting how they’re treated!!

I worked for Danny Sullivan Group at the Plymouth Port project, under the supervision of Kier.
During my time there, I witnessed deeply unprofessional behavior from certain managers. Even individuals responsible for mental health support were using aggressive and offensive language on site, creating an atmosphere of hostility rather than safety.

As a Romanian worker, I have seen many of my fellow countrymen tolerate both racist remarks and verbal abuse, simply because they feared losing their jobs. Dismissals often happened suddenly, without notice or clear justification, leaving workers feeling powerless and disrespected.

It was also noticeable that many managerial positions appeared to be filled through family or personal connections, not necessarily based on skill or experience. Unfortunately, this culture led to poor site management and the loss of good workers.

In my honest opinion, the Plymouth Port site has become a place where favoritism, lack of respect, and racial discrimination are tolerated — and that should not happen on any UK construction site.

I share this statement not out of anger, but because I believe every worker deserves respect, safety, and fairness, regardless of nationality.

I do NOT recommend Kier as contractors at all! Its all a show and once they get the job they will keep adding extra charges so they can make some extra money. The staff in the admin have no clue what are they talking and how the things are done on practice.
Please do not waste your money, time, effort and health. They shouldn't be on the market conning people and companies!

We are a small family business, we carried out some work in February this year on a Kier site and have not been paid yet ! its a disgrace. Avoid working for these charlatans at all costs.

Dealt with Shaj from North Northamptonshire & West Northamptonshire claims on behalf of Kier Transportation | Highways following having to replace a slashed tyre due to poor road condition.
I provided pictures, garage receipt that confirmed the cause of the tyre being slashed, maps of where it happened, date, time...and yet, it wasn't enough for Shaj! Everything was there and instead of accountability, there was a sense of being asked to prove the obvious — which only adds stress to an already stressfull situation as where the accident happened, is my commuting route!!!!
How deeply disappointing for a big company that clearly shows little concern for road safety and appears focused on avoiding responsibility.

This company has no soul, no community and your just a number. The People who work there are nice as individuals but from day 1 it's sink or swim.

They advised a job with with a decent wage and when you going to interview it’s a big drop off (20%) , pathetic.

Very Bad career application experience.
Passed all the stages. Still rejected me without giving any resonable reason. They have scheduled last stage interviews for other applicants (my friends) who were on the same conditions same as mine. Such a double standard company.

Absolutely horrendous service. I had a gas safety inspection booked for 16th October and even though I told them in advance I wasn't going to be in they gave me a first warning. My housing officer then booked with them to come back round on 31st October and they rang that day and said they wouldn't be able to make it. Two weeks later an appointment and the bloke came out and said he was unable to do the job because the door to the gas meter outside had come off. I had appointments booked both on the 26th November and 6th December both of which I was in for and both times they sent a text that aaic our Contractor Russ Rawcliffe was unable to gani access the property. I mean I was so angry as I could have been taken to court over that for breach of tenancy. I logged a complaint with the council on 8th December and the lady was quite helpful and she got another appointment booked for the 9th. Two guys came and said there was a gas leak and I wouldn't be able to use my boiler so they left me with an electrical heater but promised they would book an appointment through the office asap. The next thing I get a call from my housing officer the next day saying they are not coming out cause of the state of my property which I thought was very two faces. Well the place would have been a lot clearer had they bothered to turn up in the first place. I just feel they are trying to get back at me because I made a complaint to the council about them. They never did apologise for not turning up and it just shows a real lack of Customer service and real apathy to someone with mental health problems and disabilities

Hi! From few years kier is in charge to fixed the potholes in North Northamptonshire (Corby,kettering and wellingborough) In Wellingborough this summer they fixed some roads,but in Corby and Kettering they didn't want to fixed the potholes if are small then 40mm. Our town Corby is very,very bad. We pay I full for road tax and council tax but no investments.Please avoid this rubish company! Very bad work!

Kier were up a telegraph pole yesterday in Maidenhead replacing a ring - they quite clearly knocked my broadband and telephone out. Despite me telling the engineers what they had done - they didn’t fix the problem they caused and didn’t check on us before they left - such poor professionalism and dreadful - we aren’t their customer but they directly caused an issue we now have to deal with - they should not be working on equipment if they don’t know what they are doing!!

Unworldly won a contract to look after the roads in Northamptonshire!!! Unfortunately failed to deliver good honest repair work! Let’s hope the taxpayers gets refunded. Just hit a pot hole blow out and new rim !!!

Kier group plc are contracted for Northamptonshire highways. Well we the public would love to know what it’s spent on as it’s not the roads !!!!
