The khamak
I made an error with the Canadian to usd conversion. I attempted to cancel my order. Mickey gave me a personal call to explain the process. My order was processed successfully. I received the khamak in perfect condition, I am enjoying playing now. Kala Kandar rocks!!

The agent took time to explain everything to me in detail and assured me that they will do their best regarding the repair and that the instrument sound amazing as it used to and that was what they did.

Harmonium Yearly Service
I couldn't be happier with the quality and care from Kala Kendar! Driving up from Windsor every year or two to service my harmonium is always such a pleasure! From quick email responses to book an appointment to text confirmations, everything is always seamless! And my harmonium always sounds fantastic afterwards!

You sent sub-standard merch and did not…
You sent sub-standard merch and did not offer to replace it. As a musical instrument builder, I understand that pegs need to be fit to the instrument. I received one quite warped one, and several quite straight ones. After sending a picture of the warped peg, I expected a new, correct peg to be sent, not to be asked to return the merchandise for refund.

It seems like there are some half-truths being said and perhaps you need to vent out your frustrations on someone. We were always willing to resolve the issue your facing, but since you've made a false accusation of us, I will include a copy of the conversation which you had with us over email:

I’m sorry you’re not happy with your recent purchase with us, and I will do whatever I can to make it right.
First off, the Sitar Peg Tarb Decorated Dark is a rough cut, and as with all handmade parts for the sitar will have to be sanded and fitted for your specific sitar. A little extra meat (wood) on the sitar peg will provide you the levy way to sanding it to fit the peg hole. This is how we do it in our shop on all the sitars we setup for repairs. The sitar pegs are never perfectly straight and don’t have to be for the performance of the peg.
If you’re not completely happy with your purchase, you are always welcome to return it back for a full refund, no issues.

Quality service, quality instrument
My experience with Kala Kendar Music Warehouse was outstanding because they were great communicators, very helpful and polite. The instrument I ordered was being made in India and when there had been a delay in the arrival of the shipment, a Kala Kendar's representative informed me of other in-stock options, and I was able to change my order with their help.
The instrument arrived in time for our son's birthday. He was surprised and we all were pleased. The shruti box is beautifully crafted of teak and copper, a quality instrument.

Absolutely fantastic service. I dropped my sitar off to be re-strung. The gentleman was knowledgeable, polite, and so very efficient. The job was done in 24 hours to an exacting level of quality. Will definitely be a repeat customer. Highly recommended for all your Indian musical instrument maintenance needs.

Excellent once again
Once again, everything was as expected (better actually) based on the photo and description online, including the measurements which was critical for my purchase. The shipping was super prompt, and the pricing totally fair.

Tabla purchase
Micky was a great help in helping me purchase a new tabla set. He was patient as I couldn't decide on which dayan I wanted to acquire. He allowed me to sit on the floor to give it a full test and when I finally made my decision, he carefully wrapped the set in plastic wrap so the set wouldn't be damaged during transport. Great experience
