Had an easy time building the rack, was done dusted in 30 mins. Had a small hick-up with a part identification but had a super quick responce from the support team with additional instructions and wallah, rack built.
Super sturdy on the RAV4 and fits the three monster e-bikes with ease. Just wish i got the gas struts with the initial buy.

After receiving bike rack I noticed surface rust on the interior of steel tubing.
For a new piece of equipment this is unacceptable.
JB racks would not allow me a return.
Stay clear of an inferior product and terrible service

These are terrible. Loaded 5 bikes on my 5 space rack and I had to stop after 20-30 miles due to being very wobbly and affecting my vehicle stability. I thought the rack would break. The center stem is completely unstable. It needs to be solid and all the bolts in the world cannot stabilize it. Unfortunately I have a $800 bike stand in my garage. Total failure of a product. Really dissatisfying. If they came out a stem stabilizing brace it might fix it but yea........

Customer service was great, Kel was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable on their products. Looking forward to receiving my new bike rack.

Horrible. They are extremely wobbly. I had a bike fall off and get destroyed. Crappy straps just severed. Wouldn't refund me. In the process of suing them.

I wish I had read Trustpilot and Product Review.com reviews before I purchased the rack and stand for over 1k AUD. The rack pack came with missing spacers (14 mm and 52 mm), a missing stopper end that caps off an open bar, and 2x black bars that aren't even for the rack, as well as over 20+ extra M8 bolts that have no use. The struts are too small, and the video they have online and PDF instructions in some aspects are a different design from what was sent.

I emailed in and got a response that requested me to take a heap of detailed photos, etc., but after reading all the reviews, I'm not going to waste time with this company and will count my losses and use it without the struts.

I regret buying this product, as there are other more reputable brands out there at only a slightly more expensive price point. For a company to have so many bad reviews, it says something, and the reviews on their website are obviously either fake or curated.

My rack failed almost completely. On my first trip the rack was tearing itself apart with my bikes on it. Parts are bending. The pivot arm metal is cracked. I had to buy a new rack at my destination to get my bikes home safe. Customer support has been slow to respond. I am almost a weak in waiting for a response. I am requesting a full refund.

This is a follow-up to my review on JB Racks from earlier this summer.
Despite no response to help in any way, I was able to find a use for part of the purchase -the floor mount.
I advised JB Racks and offered what I consider to be a reasonable settlement.
No surprising - crickets on their end!
All I get is AI adds for Australian Holiday specials.

My opinion has not changed. This is a scam to get your $$$ and then throw you to the curb.
Avoid JB Racks at all costs. Other reputable manufactures may be slightly more expensive, but they stand by their product. My Thule rack works great.
Being an Australian company- JB Rack is insulated from legal action. Don't get fooled by these thieves!

Directions for assembly with the slow fold struts are non existent. The rubber straps are too short. The wheel cradle is way out of per portion. Long enough for a 36" wheel yet it's only deep enough for a four inch wheel. I have the six place model. The most bikes I have hauled is three. It wobbles around so much I am certain that if I put one more bike on it it would bend over. Look at the reviews on FB and Reddit before you buy.

JB Racks makes it impossible for you to leave a negative review. The instructions to assemble are poor. The quality of workmanship is worse and requires custom changes to make the machined parts to fit together. The parts they provide are cheap. We had to request multiple parts during assembly because what was sent was not sufficient or missing. The best part! One our maiden voyage with the rack, we lost a bike because the flimsy rubber strap broke. This is unsafe. The fact that the review process is limited makes them borderline fraudulent as they control the public opinion board of their product. I can't even give this away. It's too unsafe.

The center mast comes in two pieces. I spent hours hammering on it, using two 3/4" pipe clamps and only got them together about half way.
Of course they don't tell you ahead of time about the $165 restocking fee and that you pay return shipping if you want to return it.
I also had multiple parts with chipped powder coating.
Even if they send me new parts, it will not be worth it.
I really wanted this rack and I deeply regret buying it.
Please don't fall for it, but a different brand. They have good advertising but a bad product.

Bought a 5 rack and a swing arm. Rack showed up missing the hitch piece. Contacted customer support and they shipped a replacement which was received within a week. The company also went out of their way to make it right. Overall the rack and swing arm are great quality, happy with the purchase and can’t beat the price point.

What a terrible product. It’s too good to be true. Holes don’t line up, materials feel cheap, struts didn’t work. They sent a second pair of struts, same problems. It seems clear they outsource for the struts. It’s just garbage. Spend the extra money and get a reputable brand.

My first inkling that this company is not one to work with was our delivery. Two of the four boxes arrived opened with the tape ripped. Not packaged properly at the warehouse. Then came the poorly manufactured parts. We are only 1/3 of the way into building the bike rack when we came across the instruction to insert two metal parts together. The part that was supposed to fit into the other did not. We literally had to use a mallet to get them to fit. Next came the instructions. The rack is shipped with a set of instructions and you are emailed a qr code for the "latest" instructions. At one point (again we are still only 1/3 of the way) it said to use a certain part. We searched and searched, checked the boxes again and found nothing. Went to the online instructions and it also referenced this part. We had to stop what we are doing since my son is an industrial design engineer and he said this part may have something to do with the stability of the design. Contacted support and a couple of days later received an email saying we didn't need this part. In case you were not following my words BOTH of their instructions, the paper that came in the box and their online referenced this part that customer service then said we "didn't need". At this point I went online to start reading about this company and found that... I was not the only one. So instead of making a fuss or requesting compensation for them wasting already 3 hours of our time I contacted them for a return and refund. Customer service could not be less helpful or rude. They refuse to take it back. I will be going to my credit card company to get my refund since this company does not stand behind it's product. Please do not waste your time.

I wished I had never sold my old bike rack. This 4 bike Jb Rack is a nightmare. First of all, they don’t have paper and video instructions for the four bike rack. It doesn’t come with a manual/ instructions. You’ll have to find it online. They specifically have instructions on their site for the five bikes. In addition, if you have the struts, they have varied instructions due to their updates/changes; and they don’t tell you, which one you (I) received. There’s no customer service via phone - only email. You mostly have to figure things out on your own. Second thing is installing the bike rack on the hitch is a chore which requires you to constantly have the right tools with you… so a local bike ride requires a lot of effort, which makes you not want to go riding. The effort it takes to mount the rack is more ideal for long hauls. For long haul, the the rack wobbles an a bit but otherwise kept the bikes secured. My old Allen bike rack didn’t at all because it mounts without extra pins, bolts, nuts, and has a knob to tighten the rack securely. Third thing is that the struts throws the alignment off where putting the pin for the rack to stay upright is extremely difficult. I always have to struggle for 3-7 minutes to put the pin in. 3/4 times, I gave up having it upright. Best option was to remove the struts to make it easier to insert the pin into the upright position. So far we had it for almost a month and have been on four trips. It is very annoying each time. There are way too many cons. The only pro is that it looks nice and has a nice garage storage design. Functionality and convenience is lacking for transporting bikes.

Would be zero if possible. Delivery was fast, but that’s about it. The assembly instructions were not specific to my rack, just a generic set. I’m an engineer too, and had a hard time piecing it together. I got it on my car, and literally the first time I took it out with a bike in one of the slots, the strap broke and my bike fell out and was seated by the attached bike tire, grinding the handle bar on the street. Luckily nothing else. Since then, I don’t trust it, and have been waiting on them to respond with it sitting in my garage on the stand. With only being in the elements for about 6 days in the summer, it has several rust spots. This is a cheap piece of crap and I don’t trust it. I will not put my bikes on it again.

What a nightmare of a company to deal with. We’re now 4 weeks in and still haven’t received our bike rack.

I emailed them last week requesting to cancel the order and was told they couldn’t cancel it because it had already been dispatched. I then emailed again asking for an update, only to be told they were sending me a replacement instead.

Now I’ve had to email them yet again requesting that the order be cancelled and my money refunded.

The communication has been extremely frustrating, the whole process has been a complete mess, and I’ve wasted far too much time chasing this up.

HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! Save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere.

The rack had some issues from the beginning and they kept telling me to try it some more its fine, all to push me past 30 days. Now I have every bike that has been in the rack with rub through the sidewall marks, a hold down has broken and they will not allow me to return. They accuse me of not being able to properly mount bikes in rack. They refuse to own up to it their rack has a flaw and is damaging my bikes. They offer no solutions.

Wish I saw the trustpilot reviews and didn't go with the ones on JB's website.
Maybe the rack is lighter? But still seems pretty heavy and not nearly as rigid as other manufacturers. I also was hoping to use this with my swing away, but there's no internal tensioner to the rack. And you can't fit an anti-raddle with the swing away. Instructions were horrible, you will most likely have to undue what you already did once you're in the know. Definitely spend the extra money and go with a solid company. If you really want to save money, look on AliExpress because you can find the same rack for under $300.

Absolutely terrible, bikes bang into each other they move so much, bike tyre rubs on the strut, the struts don't work, customer service is terrible, ended up going through our bank to get a refund, even the bank agreed the rack is terrible
