Séjour inoubliable au Rwanda!

Nous avons passé une semaine à visiter Kigali et le parc Akagera avec la compagnie Ingoma Tours. Notre guide, Nicolas, a été à l’écoute de nous besoin et nous a proposé un voyage lors duquel chaque membre de notre famille en gardera un souvenir extraordinaire. Le service fourni, dépasse celui que nous avons pu rencontrer par avant. De plus, nous nous sommes sentis en sécurité et encadré durant tout le séjour. Nicolas nous fait découvrir les mœurs et les coutumes du Rwanda avec passion. Ce voyage a été une expérience inoubliable plein de moments magiques.

Ho trascorso 5 giorni meravigliosi con Shaka durante il mio viaggio in Rwanda. Abbiamo visitato il memoriale del genocidio a Kigali, un’esperienza molto intensa e toccante, e poi passato due giorni rilassanti al Lago Kivu.

Shaka è stato una guida eccezionale: professionale, attento e sempre disponibile. Viaggiando da sola in Africa, per me era molto importante sentirmi al sicuro, e con lui mi sono sentita sempre tranquilla e ben accompagnata.

Ha saputo ascoltare tutte le mie esigenze e ha fatto il possibile per rendere il viaggio perfetto. Consiglio assolutamente Shaka a chiunque voglia scoprire il Rwanda con una guida affidabile, gentile e preparata.

Breathtaking Rwanda, tour of a lifetime.

Ignoma tours/Shaka Ntwari showed me that Rwanda is one of the safest, stunningly beautiful, and most friendly countries in the world. The unique Gorilla trek, golden monkeys, Chimpanzee trek, and zip line/canopy walk along with a visit to a boarding school (a custom addition) combined both adventure and culture in one sensational tour. They also recommended a short extension into Burundi giving me a glimpse of beauty of both Burundi’s landscapes/lakes and Burundi’s people. Shaka’s authentic personality and passion for Rwanda/Burundi was beyond impressive. In addition, their “give back to the local communities” in the form of books, english classes, support for orphans, etc solidifies a 5 star rating.

Outstanding Kigali Layover Tour with Ingoma Tours

I had a 9-hour layover in Kigali on Sunday 4 January and booked a city tour with Ingoma Tours, and I honestly couldn’t have spent my time better.

Shaka picked me up right on time from the airport early in the morning and immediately made me feel welcome and at ease. Our first stop was the Belgian Commando Memorial. Even though it was only around 7am, someone was there to show me around, which set the tone for how thoughtful and well organised the day was.

We then went to a viewpoint overlooking Kigali, with fantastic views across the whole city. After that, Shaka took me for breakfast at KN Café, which was an excellent choice — amazing Rwandan coffee (some of the best I’ve had).

Next was the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where Shaka gave me plenty of time to explore at my own pace. It’s a deeply moving and important place, and I really appreciated not feeling rushed.

We spent the rest of the morning sightseeing through different neighbourhoods of Kigali. The city felt incredibly safe, friendly and welcoming, and I was struck by how clean everything is — not a pothole in sight (unlike back home in the UK!).

We also visited an art gallery with some truly impressive local artwork, and finished the tour perfectly with a local beer (Virunga Mist) at Pili Pili.

Shaka then dropped me back at the airport well in time for my onward flight. From start to finish, the tour was relaxed, informative and perfectly paced.

If you have a layover in Kigali — or even just a day — I can’t recommend Ingoma Tours and Shaka highly enough. A truly five-star experience.

Ingoma Tours- Simply the best

Ingoma Tours- Simply the best.
I’m a seasoned traveler and this was a unique experience. Shaka, Ingoma Tours founder and my guide for this tour, demonstrates a love of his work, for Rwanda and commitment to provide a tailored client experience.
Activities: Gorilla trek, Dian Fossey Center, golden monkeys, Twin Lake, Kigali Genocide Museum
Professionalism: 5 stars. I contacted Ingoma 3 weeks before my planned trip, and Shaka was on a call with me within hours to map out the trip, discuss options and prices- full transparency and attentiveness to all of my questions.
Logistics: Seamless- I had my gorilla permit within a day or two of making payment. Fluid communication leading up to the trip. On the ground there was no problem stopping off for items I needed. Reminders of things to help make me more comfortable. No surprises for me, I was informed of every turn.
Hospitality: Shaka was at airport early, communicating he was there and informing where he would be waiting. I was greeted with fresh flowers and a calm joyful energy which continued throughout the trip, enjoyable conversation and sharing about Rwanda and the US. After my gorilla trek, my clothes and shoes were cleaned and returned ready for the next day.
Safety: 100%. I was solo in this trip and Shaka set the tone of safety from the start, for example waiting till seat belts fastened before starting off, assessing my level of comfort to pass slow cars in front of us on certain sections of the road.
Rwanda: Top notch, warm and professional. Firstly, the people- choosing peace and healing and continuing to advance together. It’s truly remarkable. The nature of Rwanda is amazing and abundant. Shaka booked me at the beautiful My Hill Eco Lodge on Twin Lake surrounded by mountain and volcano views- truly gorgeous. The birds, plants, hills, trees and lakes shined and shimmered. The gorilla trek started with a cappuccino- isn’t that the best? Without saying a word, Shaka found me gaitors when he noticed I didn’t have any. Thanks to Ingoma Tours, on the golden monkeys tour, I was well aware of tipping practices while other travelers were surprised. The porter was amazing helping in the slippery mud and I would have been sad if I didn’t have the tip amount to show my appreciation.

Book Ingoma Tours and come to Rwanda- you will have an experience of a lifetime.

Best Rwanda experience ever!

Dear Shaka, thank you again for three wonderful days in beautiful Rwanda. Thank you for the organization, the lovely accommodations, the wonderful conversations we had in the car, and your flexibility in taking different routes through the villages.

To future travelers: the national parks are beautiful, but you'll experience true authentic Rwandan life on the way there! Above all, enjoy the locals.

I would recommend everyone to contact Shaka (Ingoma Tours / Drum Tours LTD) (in a timely manner). They are truly a reliable source!
Fortunately, the owners of Hotel Amaltas The View recommended it to me, and Shaka came by that same evening to meet and discuss my wishes. Very personal and pleasant.

Shaka arranges everything you want, and most importantly: he is very personable, reliable, and speaks perfect English.

I appreciated his flexibility, so even once you're on the road, you can still make adjustments, and Shaka takes care of everything.

As a solo female traveler in Rwanda, I couldn't have wished for better company.

This three-day tour was unforgettable, thanks in part to Shaka's passion and knowledge of the country.
I visited, among other places, the beautiful Lake Ruhondo, Volcanoes National Park, Gisenyi Beach, and Lake Kivu. The coastal road along Lake Kivu is reminiscent of Italy. Truly beautiful.

Nyungwe National Park

I recently had the pleasure of going on a 2-day tour to Nyungwe National Park, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience! The hikes were absolutely breathtaking, offering stunning views and a real connection to nature. Tchaka, was incredible—his enthusiasm, knowledge, and passion for Rwanda made the trip even more memorable. He kept me informed and entertained.

Both days were filled with beautiful hikes, each offering a unique perspective of the park's diverse ecosystems. Tchaka made sure i was comfortable and well-prepared throughout the journey, which really added to the overall enjoyment of the experience. If you're planning to visit Nyungwe, I highly recommend this tour company and, especially, Tchaka as your guide.

Best tour experience ever

Ingoma Tours was the best tour experience I’ve ever had! Shaka (the mastermind) was super receptive to our desired itenerary and budget. He worked with us to design our dream trip. He took care of all the logistics big and small. We had a blast at Lake Kivu and loved seeing the Golden Monkeys. If you’re taking a trip to Rwanda, there’s no tour operator I recommend more than Ingoma!

Excellent personal service

Ingoma Tours provided excellent service, which was particularly important to me as a solo traveler. Shaka, the Founder, took the time to connect with me to assess what I wanted out of my time in Rwanda and curated a special itinerary to ensure I saw all of the sites on my list, and suggested other activities to make sure my trip was memorable. He was able to coordinate the different tourist activities across Kigali, gorilla trekking, and a relaxing trip to Lake Kivu. Shaka is an excellent listener and is a strong communicator in English, Kinyarwanda, and other local languages which allowed me to relax and have a seamless trip.

The Best in Rwanda!!!

I hired Shaka from Ingoma Tours for a private guided tour to a tea plantation in Mulindi, and it was a unique and excellent experience. Shaka provided valuable historical and cultural insights throughout the tour. He is extremely knowledgeable, considerate, and patient. I also appreciated his friendly interactions with the workers at the tea plantation, which showed that his genuine personality extends beyond his clients. He is truly passionate about serving and helping everyone. I highly recommend Ingoma Tours for guided tour services in Rwanda-they are the best!

Made my first trip to Rwanda memorable!

It was my first trip to Rwanda and Tchaka went to great lengths to make it as memorable as possible. He followed up with me long ago before my arrival and presented so many ideas for activities to do during my visit.
I went on the trip to Musanze, stayed in Lake Ruhondo, hiked up to the peak of Mount Bisoke, and saw the golden monkeys.
Nicolas was the guide throughout this amazing trip. He was respectful, gentle, and kind. He never rushed us, and was always attentive to our needs.
