Absolute bunch of cowboys

Absolute bunch of cowboys. Total rob dogs. Charges out of control, no response in regard to recruitment despite massive charges. Even subjected to fraudulent activity on account. Do not go anywhere near this scam of a company

Useless, incompetent

The technical support with Indeed is absolutely terrible. We have used Indeed for the past 2 years, the whole platform worked excellently until one day the Boolean function stopped working as it should and since then its been 1.5 years of ongoing issues and being fobbed off everytime an issue is raised. They operate out of Ireland but are a US based company so all technical support is from the US. They refuse to ever put you in contact with the technical support team they blindly 'chase' up your requests which you never hear back from and frankly they are one of the most useless companies I have dealt with.

Constantly deleting reviews that could be helpful to other workers without any feedback or chance to edit and re-submit them.

Fake jobs advertised, jobs advertised and allocated in wrong areas on the site, their customer service needs a shake up.

Indeed are a useless website in my opinion.

Been compromised by third parties

Unfortunately this site seems compromised by third parties that somehow manage to overwrite and compromise your account and relevant applications.
I applied for several jobs that never showed into my account , concluding that these positions were fake . Lately it won't even let me take assessment tests, taking me automatically to a screen on an "accessibility" test I never took or required in any of these applications . The security and privacy seems to be total absent and third parties manage to compromise your profile and your data in a disgusting unethical manner.
The internet would have been great but it's clear by now that there are official channels able to sabotage even job sites ..indeed compromised by fascists regimes..as for the many jobs sites I ve visited this year..

Mediocre at best

Indeed is a peculiar job website, where you cannot easily find jobs. Such Irony...ok YES I have found work on here, I've found a couple interviews... Tonnes of rejection.. my success rate is about the same as the lottery, a paltry £2.70 "win" is about the same frequency I get a interview. I draw comparisons because they are similar. They want you to have way too many years of experience..for minimum wage. This gatekeeping is out of control... No one should have to jump any hoops for minimum wage, its paid so bad it should be a human right I shouldn't have to delve into even 1 day of my past. Your jobs state minimum pay but basically want Superman to turn up...it's not based in reality these lofty employer ideals

Yeah, don't expect barely any success and is precisely why I don't feel bad about playing the lottery, it's a "lucky" YEAR if I made a grand total of £3000 not from welfare.... Some employer are kind enough to keep me for 2 days. I'm not surviving, I'm borderline homeless without help of my parents

I'm sure it's the 50+ generation destroying the economy. I don't get it, I work hard, I work well with everyone I meet, I turned up on time, I did what I was asked, I was safe ..none of it is ever good enough...

Why bother advertising when employer is just a closet robot lover, because whatever standards are, only a robot can do anyway. But they are happy to waste your time with long drawn out application, keep advertising expired jobs that are already filled, send useless messages that never get a response

But to top it all off, despite employers openly admitting they have 1000's of applications, they declined 99.99998% of them and bemoan "no one wants to work anymore"

But what's happening is no one is taking jobs seriously anymore.if someone is super experienced and educated they are obviously not going to settle for minimum trash wage. Those are not your target audience, ya know. Minimum for minimum not minimum for maximum

And good look getting 9to5 anywhere, lots of bizarre hourage. The job website should only show a uniformed set of hours and have work from home not mean come in to a office twice a week.its No times a week. people are fed up of the daily commute to a pointless office to meet with stinky BEO colleagues. Co19 solved a lot of issues ..

Again the site doesn't actually help job seekers find jobs and allow job descriptions that sound like trolling. Like no one is family at work. I wanna do work, get paid, go home, I'm not a friend I'm just someone you work with I'm here to remedy the business issue and collect at the end of the day... What is with these ludicrous descriptions of "we're a family" lol I promise you we are not

Yes, ok you might get something out of it, but it will take way too long. There must be a better turnkey solution to get *everyone who wants a job* the employment they deserve

It's for the Government to start regulating job ads they need to be legitimate, updated, relevant, responsive and drop silly requirements for minimum wage, develop a living standards wage where one Person working 40 hour week can sustain the cost of food, monthly mortgage for average house in the area, buy and sustain a car for at least 5 years and afford child care for at least 1 child until 18

There's no advertising standard for jobs here, they are being allowed to play as gatekeepers and overlords. Overall I think indeed is corrupt and a bit useless....

Indeed is good for tips but ....

Indeed is a good website when it comes to tips i.e. how to write CVs. However a warning to multi skilled over 50's - it is a cut throat rat race out there. Employers simply haven't got time for you if you can't do fast paced highly skilled work. And as the news states, there's more people going for less jobs now. Employers can't be ageist apparently but many are, they just won't choose you. The past 3 months have been soul destroying. I would never apply for a council job again because I am never good enough. It can take months from seeing an advert and they don't get back to you re interview feedback. I used to run a charity and a micro company, but unless it's a low pay routine job, no one wants to know.
How to get a job?? It's who you know.

Indeed make it very hard for you to…

Indeed make it very hard for you to complain or even contact them, so I thought I'd leave this review and put my request in it: Can Indeed STOP sending my CV to employers if the employers are only going to ask me to complete an application anyway? I don't like the fact that employers are being sent more than enough personal information about candidates than needs to be. A job should either be applied through application OR Cv, NOT both!! I don't find this good practice in protecting the data of your users!

Mis-representation for applying for job and subsequent interview

Was invited for Interview by Royal Mail for a Post Person with Driving recently at local Delivery Office. From the off, the "supposed" interviewer advised me to ignore whatever hours Indeed had put on the post and also the hours advertised on the official Royal Mail careers website of which you had to create an account, as when clicked Apply on Indeed, this is where the link took you to. I only wished for part-time hours up to a maximum of 30 hours a week. The hours advertised were 9.00am - 3.00pm Monday through to Friday of which Saturday working was to be inclusive although a day off was to be given during the week along with Sunday. Realised that overtime was offered as part of this job but this is optional and cannot be enforced should you wish not to work this. I did not get offered the role, however feel that this should be reported as it is a blatant misrepresentation of what was posted on the Indeed site. Not necessarily Indeed's fault but there are companies out there totally misleading people, by being allowed to post vacancies which do not tally with what is being offered. Basically was advised that the position was to be nearer to 39 hours a week of which I consider to be full time hours not part time as I had been led to believe. If I had known in advance the position was being posted as 39 hours a week then I would not have applied for it. Indeed needs to vett these organisations better to stop wasting peoples time by applying and turning up for interviews if called forward for one, only to be told that the job on offer bears no resemblance to that being posted on the site. There seems to be an increasing and emergent pattern whereby Indeed blame the posting organisation and the posting organisation blames Indeed with the job applicant all too often caught in the crossfire.

Greed and Incompetence

Over the past few years I've advertised jobs through Indeed with relative success. I always post a free job advert as there is, to my mind, no need to pay to 'sponsor' a job advert.

I have tried posting a job today and have been informed it must be sponsored i.e. I have to pay for it, because there is 'high demand' for the type of work I'm advertising.

My job advert is the ONLY one for this work on the site. The ONLY one. Hardly a 'high demand' area.

The customer service people are utterly appalling. They barely speak English and offer no help whatsoever. I will never use Indeed again, it'll be back to the Gov.uk site for me from now on.

Dishonest

Indeed required us to advertise jobs we do not have - we refused as it is untrue and unfair on jobseekers.
Indeed have made false accusations against us but their lying staff are unable to produce evidence to support their lies.
As a good employer, we advertise genuine vacancies elsewhere not on Indeed because it is a dishonest jobs platform.
