missing package
I had a bad experience before with my package being delayed but thought I would give them one more chance.
After 3 phone calls and an email from them to confirm pick up point and time -12August 10am - on the island that we stay, nobody showed up.
Numerous calls and emails later , now the 2nd of September, nobody knows where the package is and customer support is yet to call me back. Never again.

εκανα παραγγελια εναν καναπε με το σκαμπο του, η αρχικη ημερομηνια παραδοσης ηταν 27/08/25 φυσικα και δεν τον εφεραν τοτε χωρις να με ενημερωσουν εγκαιρα και αναγκάστηκα να παρω και δευτερη ημερα αδεια απο την εργασια μου για να παραλάβω 01/09.
τον εφεραν 01/09 και τον αφησαν στην εισοδο της πολυκατοικιας γιατι λεει δεν χωρουσε στο ασανσερ.

Zero Star review. I ordered furniture and received a confirmation on the 17th of June and an apology that it would take 8 days due to a warehouse upgrade. I paid extra for delivery to my house as I ordered a couch and a large outdoor table for summer. The delivery took longer than 8 days but I was happy when boxes turned up. The couch was fine but when we came to assemble the table we were missing one box. The courier driver looked in the truck nothing. We went to the warehouse twice to try and find the package - nothing. The courier staff spent two hours searching with us - nothing. So it is now the 6th of August, I have a house full of guests and paid 300 euros for a table without supports. I emailed Ikea. No response, then weeks later an email to ask if I have the box. I replied that I didn't get it and all the time we spent looking for it. Then I receive a message saying my delivery is complete and a customer service survey - how did we do? They did not get a good survey because I still don't have what I paid for and still no response. It is so simple to send the supports with a courier. Other companies are able to deliver in 3 days as there are ferries every day. The service is a joke.
If anything goes wrong you will never find anyone to help you
They stink! The bed I ordered had a broken headboard. 10 days later and no one answers my emails and no one will answer the phone. The 800 number is busy even at midnight. They are terrible! I am never buying a single thing from them again! Shame on you people!

They don't care about you, the client ! They care only for your money ! I'va made an order and in the day it has to came, I spent 3 hours at the telephone, in order for me to know if I can go to the shop, to pick-it up ! I don't stay in front of the shop and I've been made 2000 km. to came in time for this order, but Ikea don't care about it's clients ! Before the payment all seems to be OK, but after..............a big shame !

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Unacceptable Customer Service and Delivery Delays
This has been by far the worst service I’ve encountered in Greece. The customer service is shockingly unhelpful – every time I call, I’m told “someone will contact you,” yet no one ever does. It feels like a complete sham and is absolutely unacceptable for a company of this size to operate with such inefficiency and disregard for customers.
After checking online availability, I drove an hour to the Heraklion store to purchase a mattress. Once there, I was told that the system was not updated and the mattress was not in stock. I had to place an order and was informed that delivery would “probably be by 01-07.” When I asked what “probably” meant, the store staff reassured me that it would likely arrive on time, and in the worst case, with a delay of 2–3 days.
By 03-07, I hadn’t received any update, so I called customer service. I was told someone would contact me – they didn’t. I called again on 05-07 and asked to speak to the Heraklion store directly. I was told this wasn’t possible, but again, someone would reach out to me. I was promised a callback by 07-07, 12:00 – nothing happened.
Today is 10-07. I’ve called four times and still haven’t received any concrete information. All I’ve been told is that “the delivery is delayed,” “we don’t know where it is,” and “someone will contact you within 24 hours.” This has now turned into a 7-working-day delay with no end in sight and no actual help.
It’s incredibly frustrating – not just the delay itself, but the way it’s being handled. I feel like the customer service agents are just trying to get rid of me rather than solve the issue. There's no accountability, no follow-up, and no respect for the customer's time.
A truly disappointing and stressful experience.

This is a huge, impersonal company that does not care about its customers like other companies do. I experienced a great deal of inconvenience with the delivery of an order worth hundreds of euros, and when I requested a refund for the delivery charges, I received a standard response stating that since the order was delivered, there is no justification for a delivery fee refund. I do not call this customer service at all.
Reading the other comments, IKEA works with the worst delivery companies and they don't seem to care about it at all. They keep continuing and there is 0 empathy or effort.
There are other Scandinavian stores that are becoming more popular in Greece and offer much better customer service and return policies. I am switching to those as IKEA is not worth all this effort.

They are not able to deliver in a time range, the system doesn't recognize the order number, so you can't reach IKEA to track your order. The delivery guy calls you and if you can't answer the parcel goes back!! They don't understand that some people WORK and have a schedule??

The disaster is really a Greek problem. My partial delivery was a disaster. Delivery Companies subcontractors are definitely ruining IKEA image. Sad isn't it?
By the way, I'm still waiting IKEA customer care contact for a 20% catastrophic partial delivery...after I ordered 8 days ago...and paid. Shame on them.

I wish I had read these reviews BEFORE I ordered something online from Ikea Greece. People here are not lying: its a MESS. They're delivery company is awful and the whole system is unproffesional. I wouldn't be surprised that theres a scam involved.
The delivery company delivered one of my products to another person and have never contacted me back to correct the error. It was been around 3 weeks that I'm dealing with Ikea customer "service" and they just postpone any type of help. Delivery company says that the person they delivered my product to doesn't want to give it back, which is NOT my problem. I've even asked if I can go get it myself at a store and they just cancel that order but NO ANSWER from IKEA.
It's truly ridiculous! SO BAD. AVOID.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Never deposit money to order online IKEA products.
In my case, I placed an order for electrical appliances costing 3,386 euros, which I charged to my credit card in installments. The next day, due to a problem deriving from the dimensions of the dishwasher and the hob, I wanted to remove them from the order, but when I contacted the online store, they told me that I could not do so and that I would have to cancel it and place a new order with the products I wanted. So I did and paid again for two of the four appliances I needed, worth 1,680 euros. The whole story started on 25/03 and until today, 08/05, I have not been refunded the 3,386 euros from the cancellation of the first order, neither to the card, nor to the bank account that they asked me for a month later, with the excuse that some problem arose and they were unable to cancel the transaction on my credit card.
I have made countless phone calls, to which the permanent answer I receive is: "we apologize profusely, we don't know what went wrong, but we will look into it."
In one of the last phone calls they assured me that the money would be in my account by 06/05, but as you very well guessed, this did not happened. In today's phone call, they told me that some internal issue of theirs arose and they did not deposit it again.
The mockery knows no bounds. For a month and a half now, IKEA customer service has been systematically and shamelessly mocking me.
From what I've seen in recent reviews, I'm not the only one they've done this to.
I'm now taking legal action.

Αισχος! Πλήρωσα μια τεράστια παραγγελία 4/3 για έπιπλα που ποτέ δεν παρέλαβα, καθώς 8/3 την ακύρωσα για προσωπικούς λόγους. Σήμερα, 3/5 δύο μήνες μετά ΑΚΟΜΗ ΠΕΡΙΜΈΝΩ ΤΑ ΧΡΉΜΑΤΑ ΜΟΥ ΠΙΣΩ!! Για έπιπλα που έπρεπε να πληρώσω ντουκου και δεν παρέλαβα ποτέ. Ντροπή!!!!!

Severely disappointed with IKEA Greece. After 20+ years as a loyal and overall satisfied IKEA customer in multiple countries, my recent purchase was a disaster. They messed up my order, delivered an incorrect item, and took weeks to provide the correct replacement. Even more frustrating, my refund was delayed for three months, violating IKEA's own policy. I spent countless hours trying to resolve this issue, with over 30 phone calls, many emails, and multiple store visits. It's disheartening to see such a dramatic decline in service from a company I once trusted.
Totally untrustworthy
Totally untrustworthy - I cancelled an order on Feb. 25, 2025 and requested a refund. (order no. DC169CC2B49D)
After multiple phonecalls and several assurances I'd soon get my money back, still no refund on March 18.
So, I submit a claim through PayPal (luckily I had placed the order through them) to dispute the transaction.
Guess what? On the exact following day, I get a phonecall from their accountants saying that, because I had disputed the transaction, they can't put my money back!!!
Unbelievable frauds - good thing PayPal are trustworthy.
