The experience was good, and everything went as described and agreed upon. Additionally, the post-operative instructions were comprehensive and clear. Communication with the staff and the doctor was also very smooth and fast.

Ideal of Med went above and beyond every step of the way - pre-procedure, day of procedure, and post-procedure. The attention to detail, customer service, and responsiveness was spectacular.

Had my first transplant with ideal of med around 2 years ago now, completely changed the look of my hair and hairline! Recently went back to do the crown, which was a fantastic experience! Their service, professionalism and especially aftercare is amazing, once the transplant is done they consistently followed up to ensure everything was going as planned! most importantly i've been very happy with the results! I only read about Turkey being the best place for hair implants online. When I made contact with Ideal of Med. From the first WhatsApp message to the online consultation I felt the professionalism exhibited by Anas and the medical team from IdealofMed.
One i reached Istanbul airport, my family and I were shuttled to our hotel of choice. I was again picked up at my hotel by the friendly driver and taken to the clinic where Anas was waiting on the outside to great me. He spoke fluent English and was there from the start to the last day with me explaining every detail of the operation.
Firstly, on the morning of the operation, the doctors did the consultation carefully drawing my new hair line and marking the areas for extraction and implantation.

I recently had my hair transplant with this incredible people. From the very strat to the end they made me feel comfortable, safe, explained every question I had, explained every step of the process and were very professional. Everything was organised well, I didn't have to worry about anything! The care they provided was exceptional, they kept checking on me and they still do. I got a hair transplant about a year ago, and i have only positive things to say about my experience. Everyone where super nice, the staff, the operation team and i had a huge help for the whole year trough whatsapp when ever i needed help. Also big thanks to a man named Mustafa who was super nice and helping me in Istanbul. I'm super happy with my results and greatful how easy IdealofMeD made this yourney for me.

Two weeks after the transplant and I am very happy with the service, every one very professional, mostly I was assisted very well in every moment in Turkey, and there was always someone available for questions and doubts.

For a place that had the highest ratings and recommendations I could find in Istanbul, I come out of the experience underwhelmed.

The good: The surgery itself went smooth, I appreciated the doctor not rushing through the pre-surgery discussion. There was one little communication hiccup. When they switched out individuals during the numbing process, I thought they had transitioned to extraction. Since I was still feeling pain, I freaked out a bit. In addition, the information and communication provided afterward has been really good.

The head scratcher: The company is called IdealofMeD, but the sign on the building where the surgery is performed was MEGAGOZ. As a foreigner, this discrepancy frankly made me feel uncomfortable because it seemed like a bait-and-switch. I still can't explain why. It is a bit like someone trying to sell you a VW at a Toyota dealership. The facility where they do the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy is off the grid. I expect it works just fine, but it is not a clean new facility like the place they do the surgery.

The bad: as a general rule, I'm not a fan of upselling, getting a customer to buy additional stuff (in this case vitamins and other treatments) individuals probably don't need. But, I felt that IdealofMeD's upselling was particularly egregious because it occurred the day after the surgery when you are feeling very uncomfortable and haven't slept well. Although I still don't like the idea, it would be much better to take care of this business right up front during the initial consultation.

Final thoughts. Would I do it again with IdealofMeD? Probably. I felt like the doctor listened and responded during the consultation. At this point, 3 weeks post surgery, I'm hopeful that the desired long term result will occur. A few minor improvements I'd recommend: Provide clients with a list of a few great local restaurants which offer superb cuisine. Get rid of the transportation vehicles that make you feel like your going to Las Vegas. Your going to have surgery not have a night at the gaming tables.

This was one of the best experiences of my life. There is one reason I traveled from Phoenix, AZ all the way to Istanbul: Ideal of Med. I had never left the country before and I was nervous to travel that far all by myself. Ideal of Med was SO accommodating from day one. The consultation was through Whatsapp which I wasn’t used to; but upon traveling out of the country I quickly realized that’s how people in Istanbul and the rest of Europe communicate. They were amazing with communication and what to expect. Every question I had before I arrived was immediately answered. The hotel was beautiful and extremely safe. All of the rides from the clinic to hotel etc were all arranged for me in Mercedes Vans. The Drs and staff at Ideal of Med were UNBELIEVABLE! Extremely professional, caring and knowledgeable. From Mesut, Aryan and Annis I couldn’t have asked for nicer, more compassionate individuals. The Dr took her time and made sure everything looked perfect before operating. She asked my opinion and how I wanted things done and was extremely communicative with what she was doing and what the purpose was. I can’t say enough nice things about the ENTIRE experience. Now I am sitting back in Arizona with a beautiful hairline and a completed surgery that healed so smoothly! I cannot recommend Ideal of Med enough. Don’t hesitate I promise it’s legit and worth every single cent!
