A £60 penalty charge, in a free car park, for failing to display a blue badge correctly. No morals and no understanding following appeal. A disgraceful company determined to make money at all costs, no matter what hardship they may cause.
AVOID MONTAGU CAR PARK MEXBOROUGH

Blue badge not displayed by error
I have had to send off my Blue badge as I admit an error made with not opening it fully, however i have submitted an appeal along with my Badge proof of being valid I am hoping they will honor a genuine mistake being made and remove the charges.
Whilst towing a horsebox down…
Whilst towing a horsebox down salterhebble in Halifax my horse become unsettled in the box. I pulled in to attend to it and was stopped approx 10mins. Got a pcn from HX £60. Appealed stating the reason. I didn't win. They said I should have read the signs and rung them.
I wasn't thinking of signs I was thinking about my horse.

HX Car park management appalling cowards
They say my wife breached a contract by the way she parked. No contract was agreed with HX Car park management or signed with HX or payment made to enter a contract. The term breach of contract is not a legal in respect of this. They also discriminate against the disabled with poor signage in disabled parking bays, despite producing clear evidence there is no clear signage in that area. I was not informed by email or post my appeal had failed with them and the fine rose to £100 pounds, the appeal procedure is a joke. They hide by not giving e mail or phone contact details, this a cowardly company. Picking on the disabled is the lowest anyone can get.

Not interested in your financial situation, all the staff you speak to are rude but I suppose why would they have good customer service skills when they don’t need it, they are just there to take money off you...must be great telling people you work for this company! they don’t care or ask if you are struggling with bills especially with the current situation, they just send you to solicitors that add on £60 that then send threatening letters, the solicitors are just as bad! Wouldn’t even give it 1 star however there was no other option. Shambles of a company , in a world pandemic , explained we’d pulled into a manual JET WASH as it clearly states on picture that’s where we’d pulled over for a matter of 4 minutes to restart car as engine management light came on , safest place to do so and not obstructing anybody or any other vehicles. Explained this over phone and email and appealed. Suprise suprise appeal didn’t get accepted as this company is all about money nothing to do with welfare and looking after people etc. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME FIGHTING YOUR APPEAL OR FINE THEY DONT GIVE A DAMN !! worst company and as for the owner of the company ( won’t name names as I actually work with one of your family members little did you know ) give it a rest. we overstayed about 14% of the time, £100 fine - similar experiences it seems. any 5* review of these cowboys is likely to be fake. they have a license to print money with complicated car park machines and ANPR cameras - shame on Cartmel racecourse for contracting with these money grabbing scumbags, squeeze every penny out of tourists

In common with others on here, I can confirm what a lovely bunch of people must run this business. I forgot to buy my ticket before setting off on a walk from Cartmel racecourse, but upon realising my mistake, paid the correct fee on my return. I explained this to them, but not interested - just want £100.
You'd like to think in these difficult times people would be inclined to be a little more understanding, but not this lot of miserable, mean- spirited money-grabbers.
