Exceptional customer support. My very first attempt at creating a website. I signed up for the very cheapest option at $14 for 3 years (although the more comprehensive option at $70 for 3 years is incredible value). It's almost for nothing so I wasn't expecting much. I had some problems with Wordpress and could not access it no matter how I tried. Jia Yuin of HostKoala's customer service was brilliant, after I contacted her telling her that I was getting nowhere and that it was driving me crazy, she offered to remake and create everything for me, (which I accepted) so that all I had to do was click on the link she sent me and login with the username and password she also created for me and I was up and running. This is just above and beyond anything I expected. Prior to the problem with Wordpress, I initially had a few issues and things that I didn’t understand which were dealt with equally efficiently and all in super quick time, always within a few hours and today literally within minutes. Really excellent response time. I have never had such good customer service from anyone and all for an unbelievably low price.

As an addition to the above when I first signed up with HostKoala I made a mistake and signed up for the $70 subscription, which I was reluctant to pay until I saw how things would go (my site at this point is more of a hobby/interest/learning experience rather than anything serious). I contacted HostKoala and within minutes I had received a full refund, then I signed up for the $14 subscription.

Everything so far has been of the highest standard of service and I unreservedly recommend HostKoala

I recently signed up for 3 years of their standard plan paying just $14.00 USD (NY location). The account was set up in 5 mins and I had my wordpress site migrated over in 20 mins.

Their Direct Admin control panel is almost identical to cPanel, so if you have experience with it you wont have any issues. And they do offer cPanel on their other plans...which are also crazy cheap!

I'm glad I found this host and for the price you would be insane not to give their standard plan ($5/year) or, for more space, their Medium plan ($10/year) a try.

And do yourself a favor and ignore the Reddit reviews. The fact that Host Koala is going on 9+ years while still offering such amazing value tells you they are doing something right!

Sometimes it doesn't matter how well you do things, their will always be a few Karen's (or Kevins?) who whine .... it's in their nature unfortunately.

I’ve been using Host Koala since 2017 and honestly have nothing but good things to say. The huge choice of server locations was what got me to sign up, and I’m currently using both their European and US servers with zero issues.

Support has always been friendly and super fast, and the uptime has been rock solid. Definitely looking forward to sticking with them for many more years.

Good price to value and support. Great uptime and speeds as well.

Actually it was good experience 5/5 5$ one year for decent hosting i have nothing to blame .
I never had any problem so i don’t know about their support service , there is no chat but beside this everything is good until now .

I moved to host koala in 2020 after being recommended by a friend. Pre sales team answered my questions well and I remember the migration being completed while I slept ! Very quick job !

I’ve contacted support for about 10 times so far and their response has always been quick and they were able to resolve my issues. They also helped me optimise my website so that it loads quicker.

My uptime monitor noted 2 downtimes in the past 4+ years but neither lasted for more than 5 minutes. Support claimed it to be networking issues

Currently paying $24 per year and could not be any happier compared to the exorbitant price that blue host was planning to charge me for my renewal !

Don't understand why they have so little reviews. One of the best hosting providers I ever encountered.

I was looking for a new hosting provider since mine (one of the big guys) more than doubled the price.

Someone on the web recommended Hostkoala, saying that they provide a very good service for years.

Even though they told me that they don't have 24/7 support, Hostkoala is quick! They were actively responding to me in the chat before the purchase on a SUNDAY. After the purchase resolved a ticket within 16 minutes! On the same Sunday!

Tremendous. Moved all websites to them.

Everything is to the point. Slim design. Transparent. They are working with uptimerobot to let you know about their over 99% uptime.

I think you need to be a bit more advanced with your knowledge. Seeing through some of the negative reviews, I guess most of it comes from a lack of knowledge or something Hostkoala isn't directly responsible for.

I feel they are upholding their promise / vision of providing "affordable & reliable hosting for individuals & small business owners. Be it personal sites, blogs, portfolios or business web pages, we aim to provide a reliable platform for those who need online visibility."

Yesterday I was a customer. Today I am a fan. Keep up the good work!

I switched from godaddy but wanted to keep my website and use my custom domain email at microsoft. This was tricky DNS record stuff but Jia Yuin was very helpful and seems to work 24 hours a day! Highly recommend HostKoala

I've hosted my humble business site for under 20 ringgit a year for the past 4 years. My previous host ( Exabytes ) kept raising prices and was charging over 1000 ringgit per year on my last renewal before I left them

It is rare for hosts to have servers in asia, but host koala is one of the few that's available here that's much cheaper than any other local options.

In addition to that, my site appears to load faster than my previous host, and support has provided good assistance. I only have 1 email associated with my site, and it works fine. I'm able to connect it to my iphone and use it daily.

I would recommend host koala to anyone on a budget that needs an asia hosting provider. I believe the server is in Singapore, but it loads very quickly for visitors from Malaysia.

Fast support, Fast servers and reliable, have been using since 2019, I have used siteground, dreamhost and bluehost, wp engine. Hostkoala is better than dreamhost and bluehost. If you are looking a hosting for a affordable price cannot recommend enough.

My company has hosted it's website with them for 3 years now and this would be a 3 year review.

Pros :
1 ) It is affordable. We were previously paying $12/Month and it has been brought down to as little as $0.83/Mo.
2 ) Easy to install/mantain Wordpress installations.
3 ) Free SSL Certificates ( It was also free on our previous host, but our previous host cost 15x as much ).
4 ) Only one 30 minute downtime in the past 3 years, and we were notified about the mantainence in advance ( Previous host went down twice in a year, once for 30 minutes and the other downtime was about 2 hours ).

Cons :
1 ) No free domain ( Understandable, as the service is priced at $10/Year which is what a domain goes on it's own ).
2 ) No phone support, which would be a dealbreaker for some.

Before finding Hostkoala, I required a reseller account from my previous host because I required different PHP versions to run my Wordpres websites. This made them costly to run. I approached Jia on live chat and she was able to migrate my websites in 6 hours. Three websites running different PHP versions in one account while my previous host asked me to upgrade to a reseller account. The cost of running the websites went from over $300 to $24 per year. When it was finally time to pass these websites on to my own client, Jia once again was able to transfer the account to my client, and remove all traces of my information from Hostkoala making them GDPR compliant. While I may not be a customer anymore, I will definitely use Hostkoala for my next projects.

I was introduced to Host Koala by a friend about 2 years ago and was intrigued by their prices as well as their Singapore offerings. My friends website loaded quickly for me.

I previously used exabytes, a popular hosting company in Malaysia. At first, my hosting cost around RM 500/year, before the prices jumped to over RM 1000/year. I was skeptical but did not mind trying Host Koala as it would cost less than 10 % of the initial RM 500/Year.

As my renewal drew closer, I did not have much time to make a decision. The first challenge would be moving my website over to a new company. Host Koala was able to do that within hours, and my website was up and running without any downtime or issues. All I needed to do was update my nameservers. My website also appears to load quicker on their Singapore server, compared to exabytes, which is another win for Host Koala.

The reliability of their servers have also been impeccable. It was a lot better than exabytes which would often slow down several times a month ( Check their trustpilot page ) I have not experienced anything similar with Host Koala so far.

Another plus point would be that I'm able to create several email accounts for seperate use cases without upgrading to a larger plan, which was required for Exabytes.

They were also able to fix several issues with my Wordpress site over the years.

In conclusion, I'm glad I found Host Koala and I do recommend them to my friends as they appear to be a total win for us, compared to Exabytes.

Horrible Company. They suspended me for almost no reason then refused to elaborate on the suspension. DO NOT USE HOSTKOALA. My crime you ask? I have a wordpress blog that is about taking care of flowers. They will make up anything in the reply. They cannot host any site that gets more than a few hundred visitors a month and lie about their customers. They also refuse to refund me for the unused time.

Here is how unprofessional they are: They edited this reply because they accused me of being their last suspended client, saying I was engaging in phishing. This is how unprofessional they all, now imagine asking anything in a support ticket.

Again: STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

I have dealt with them for more than a year and have seen good treatment in technical support

Also, I was late in paying more than once, and my account or data were not deleted
On the contrary, I told them what caused the payment problem, and their response was to inform me that they had a week’s deadline for payment, and now the site is working and I am in the payment deadline.
They are really cool
But I hope in the future to activate other methods of payment
And also adding other products such as
VPS servers for their products in the future

Hostkoala migrated 3 of my Wordpress sites from Fatcow, reducing the cost from $134 to $24 per year.

Support has been fantastic, and unlike Fatcow, prices have not been raised in the past 2 years.

Servers are stable, and perhaps, slightly faster than Fatcow.

Note that I am using their cPanel SSD Hosting in Singapore, I have no issues with them so far.

Long time customer and could not be happier. If you know what your doing Host Koala is a great choice for web hosting as they have great speeds, are reliable and excellent support.

I've been a customer for only 4 months and been having issues with a immunify 360 application HostKoala installed on my shared server. I submitted 5+ tickets to support over the course of a few weeks trying to get this issue solved. They are saying its my fault and being increasingly rude when I am trying to just resolve this issue.

I've used web hosts and specifically Cpanel for nearly 10 years and never encountered such rude support. I would not recommend them on the support alone. There was also some downtime issues which may have been my fault when it comes to getting blocked by immunify or something. Still would not recommend. They need a change of support staff here. Anytime I update my support ticket, i get berated and given ultimatums. HostKoala is cheap but not cheap enough for the headache. I will not be renewing my next 4 months with them.
