I brought a Porsche off this company…
I brought a Porsche off this company the sales person was very helpful gave me a fair price for my old car. When I took the Porsche out with Jason I did say that the clutch is really high but he said that is normal for a Porsche. I brought the car picked it up a day later then they said due to they hadn't got the car ready not a problem. Once I got the car home the remote on the keys didn't work so I phoned Jason and he said don't worry we will sort them out. He said send me one key at a time so I did. In the mean time the clutch was getting worse so I took to a local garage to Neto get it checked he confirmed that the clutch is slipping but he did do clutches on Porsches. So I messaged Jason he said don't worry under warranty so arranged to take to take the car back which is a nightmare as I love 35 miles away. But took car in a bloke took the car out and when he came back he told me he had done 120 mile hour in it and it doesn't slip told me it was me. Which it wasn't. I asked Jason about my key as they had had it for 2months he gave it to me.
Took care of away clutch still slipping in my eyes got home key still didn't work.
So emailed Jason no reply took care of to Porsche they confirm clutch slipping and also to fix the key you have to have car. So I emailed Jason again and again and still no reply. The warranty they give has run out and I'm no facing a bill of 2.5 k for a new clutch.

If you knew that you needed the car for sorting the key why did you ask me to send it to you for you to sort out and you had it for 2 months.
Also there was no mention of the car being a part x and to u was selling a discounted price it was the same price as loots of others of the same age.
Also to ur mechanic said the clutch was fine yet two other garages said it did.
And so has Porsche.
I know the car is 25 years old and I do expect problems. But not when I had already said and it came with a warranty.

Thanks for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear you’ve been left disappointed and would like to take this opportunity to clarify a few points for anyone reading.
The Porsche you purchased was a 24-year-old, part-exchange-to-clear vehicle, priced accordingly to reflect its age and condition. It was prepared with a fresh MOT and service, and you were given all the time you needed to inspect and test drive the car before making your decision. During that time, you raised the high clutch biting point, and we explained this is common on first-generation Boxsters — it’s a known characteristic and not a fault in itself.
Shortly after purchase, you raised an issue with your key fob. We asked you to send the key to us because you initially described what sounded like a battery fault, not a programming issue. We replaced the battery and returned the key, unaware at that stage that Porsche keys require the car to be physically present to complete programming — something you later had confirmed directly by Porsche. Had we known this upfront, we’d have advised differently, but we did try to help in good faith and at no cost to you.
You later raised concerns about the clutch possibly slipping. We invited you to return the vehicle and carried out a full road test — at no charge — and found no evidence of clutch slip at that time. While we acknowledge that other garages have since given a different opinion, clutch wear is a wear-and-tear item and can deteriorate quickly depending on driving style, especially on a performance car like a rear-wheel-drive Porsche. This isn’t unique to our car — it’s simply the nature of older sports cars and part of the reality of ownership.
While your warranty has now expired, we’re still happy to assist with programming your key properly if you’d like to return with the vehicle, as Porsche themselves advised is required.
We’ve never turned you away and have always been willing to assist. It’s disappointing to be accused of ignoring you when we responded, booked the car back in, carried out a free inspection, and tried to support with the key. While we understand your frustration, we believe your review does not reflect the full picture or the support you were given.
We do genuinely wish you all the best with your Porsche and hope it brings you enjoyment going forward.

Very poor dealership
Car was ok, good experience to start with, but these people still owe me money from a car I traded in, tried to contact and message and was ignored, also after 4 weeks I still had no log book which I had to send off for a new one myself very poor and still on going will never deal with these again, answer left was aload of rubbish only had money out no money in, and I sent of for log book was back in four days, don’t try to cover this up liars

We’re genuinely puzzled by your review, especially as we have already paid you the balance from your part exchange – a transaction we can evidence. We also posted your log book promptly, along with several others from that week, and all were sent tracked as standard. Unfortunately, once documents are with the DVLA, it’s in their hands – and they’ll usually confirm a 6–8 week processing time if contacted directly.
It’s disappointing that rather than reaching out to clarify, you’ve chosen to leave a review that doesn’t reflect the facts. We're always happy to help, but it's only fair to be accurate.

Very poor experience
Purchased a nice mini – broke down on way home and had to be collected. Said they fixed and returned but broke down again and had to be collected. Again said it was fixed so returned and broke down again but this time with the driver from the garage so had to return.
Then sought a refund that took weeks to come through with very little useful information.
Was unfairly charged for the mileage incurred even though the car broke down during that mileage and caused us huge inconvenience plus having to tax and insure a car that spent practically a month at the garage.
Car went straight back up for sale at an increased price whilst I had to wait for my refund that short changed.
Took messages/emails/calls to get the refund pushed through.
Be careful buying a car from here.

Avoid at all costs
Summary: treated with disrespect, quoted nearly three times what I actually paid at another garage, service was terrible.
Horsepower rebuilt my gearbox two years ago almost to the day, so when my car got stuck in first gear over a month ago I took it to them to look at.
Firstly, it took two weeks for them to actually tell me what was wrong with it. I kept calling and getting told different answers as to when the car would be looked at, and was told I’d be “called back by end of day latest” constantly and constantly they would not call me back.
Eventually after I showed up to the garage they told me that they had to send off the gearbox to bexhill to have it analysed and that it would cost £700-£1000+ and despite having paid £2k for a new gearbox that had only done 25000 miles, they in no way took any responsibility at all for their own work.
They were repeatedly rude and I was told at one point by the owner that I was “talking nonsense”.
Eventually I took my car down the road to Hadlow stair in which they checked out my car in under a week and it only cost me £265 for a simple fix that horsepower should have spotted immediately.
It is incredibly intimidating going to a garage by myself as a girl in my early twenties, the way horsepower spoke to me and treated me were extremely unprofessional). I was treated as a nuisance rather than a loyal customer (my family have been going to them for years) and I personally will never be taking another vehicle there again when there’s a much better, friendlier garage less than a mile away.
I have never left a bad review in my life but thought it was necessary in this instance.

To clarify the facts:
The gearbox was rebuilt for you approximately two years ago, and since then you have covered almost 30,000 miles. When you returned to us recently, you insisted the issue should be repaired free of charge under the original warranty, despite the significant mileage and time elapsed. You were clearly advised — respectfully — that the warranty had long since expired.
We explained that, as the fault was not externally visible, further investigation would require some dismantling work. However, you refused to authorise this. Without your permission to proceed, it was not possible for us to diagnose or repair the issue at that time.
Your claim that we refused to liaise with you is completely inaccurate. We maintained contact with you, responded to communications from both yourself and your family members, and remained willing to investigate the matter further if authorised.
The suggestion that you felt intimidated is regrettable, but you were accompanied by your mother when visiting, and our team conducted themselves appropriately throughout.
Lastly, your own letter stated that "professional advice" suggested a gearbox should last 100,000–150,000 miles. We simply pointed out that the original failure — prior to our rebuild — occurred at around 60,000 miles, highlighting that even manufacturers cannot always guarantee perfect longevity.
It is disappointing that after 30,000 miles of usage and declining to authorise any investigation work, you now seek to blame us publicly. We remain proud of the reputation we have built over 23 years in business, serving thousands of loyal and satisfied customers.

Poor after care
We bought a skoda estate car which broke down on the way home from the garage. We got it towed back to the garage and they gave us the tow cost back and fixed the car which we collected again 2 weeks later after they promised they had vigorously tested it.
It broke down again a couple of weeks later, we got it towed back to the garage, and they gave us a temporary car. They fixed our skoda for the second time although it took them quite a long time to do it and they promised that they had undertaken lots and lots of testing so we would have no further problems. And we are still waiting for the tow cost to be returned to us over 3 months on and we have chased several times! Danny avoided our calls about the money they owe us. The car is now out of the 3 month warranty and keeps cutting out so we have booked it into a local garage. So their 'testing' needs to be improved! As does their after sales support in terms of calling back when a message is left for them and covering costs of tows when promised.

Landrover Purchase (update re: warranty)
Update on the Landrover Freelander 2 I purchased in January. I was very happy with sales experience and purchase.
When driving the car, there appeared to be coolant leak (it's a 13yr old car that has covered 144k miles but drives well & is in good condition). Horsepower repaired / changed the faulty part under the 3 months warranty.
No quibbles. Checked the car to make sure it was safe to drive. Then a weeks wait for the part and workshop time. Much appreciated 👍
