Took a Hop on Hop off tour in Vence, France. Terrible. Bus was hardly air conditioned. Few stops of any interests. One stop, the Citadel in Villefranche, which we stopped at was closed to visitors. The driver, obviously, didn't know that. We had to wait 40 minutes, in the heat for the next HoHo bus. The whole trip was a waste of money, when we could have taken the little city tourist train for much less.

I’m sharing a recent experience to raise awareness within the freelancing community.
I was approached by a company (hop-on-hop-off-bus-tours.com) for content publishing work. Everything seemed professional in the beginning, and I was asked to publish 1 post. I completed the work on time and as per their requirements.
However, after the work was delivered:
I did not receive any payment
My follow-up messages were ignored.
As freelancers, we invest our time, effort, and trust into every project. Situations like this are not just financially frustrating but also mentally exhausting.
Was on a Norwegian cruise in May that had to go to Oslo instead due to adverse weather up the fjords. Unfortunately Oslo was shut as it was a bank holiday!
We went to hop on tent and we were charged for two people each - 1000kr instead of 500kr. Told we would be refunded but despite 3 emails and completing 2 claim forms I am still waiting for my money back. Is this not theft?????
In desperation I rang hopon.uk for advice which states on website ‘call us. Our customer support team are available 24/7’.
No they’re not! When I rang I was told I had to email them. I’m sick to death of having to email. It’s just a cop out for not having to speak to you and deal with issues. It’s so impersonal. These companies need to start talking to customers again.

Tour should have been 90 mins en-dessous 2 1/2 hours broken down bus left stranded cost 97 dollars ruinéd our day. Phoned them twice left messages not returned calls . Still waiting will update if they have the decency to get back to me. Not impressed at all.
Tickets sold at cruise ship dock. Bus stopped at first stop around 20 minutes! Finally moved then changed route to Stop 7 on map instead of 2! Very stressed and bad tempered driver as he allowed too many people on who would not get off. Stop 3 was closed, no idea where stop 4 was. Next time bus stopped ' who knows where, no announcement and ear phones not working anyway! We got off and walked back to port , having missed ALL the sights in Thessaloniki !utter waste of time and money. Never again!

At Albert docks Saturday 12th July they were selling ticketsvfor the hop on hop off bus tour but long queues and they were not allowing people to get on the tour buses. We had to walk to cavern quarter to get on the bus we had purchased tickets for. Tour was good once we were on the bus but it was chaotic at the docks.
That’s a reseller.
I booked an “Explore Ticket” bus tour 48 hours ticket with Big Bus for Vienna for around 50€.
I got the tour but not the cruise!!
Although their website mentioned that:
“ The Explore Ticket gives you an opportunity to choose between a ride on the Giant Ferris Wheel at the Prater Amusement Park or River Cruise along the Danube River.”
I found from the big bus agent that this is incorrect!!
I emailed hop on hop off and a lame excuse was included in their Apology - below - without any offers of compensation even when requested
Quoting:
“Apologies for the confusion.
We will discuss further on your complaint with our Big Bus Tours Vienna. And I will ask our team to correct the information if required. These changes must be done by Big Bus Vienna recently.
Once again, please accept our sincere apology.”
Now to get the Cruise I have to pay an extra 32€
