Inoperable washing machine6
Purchased Maytag washer/dryer combo 9/13/24 from Lowes home supply along with a 5 year extended warranty. For the past five weeks the washer has been inoperative and repaired, weekly,by an approved Lowes repair person. Today it was repaired once again with a fifth part replacement. The machine worked fine for two loads and ceased to function once again!! Chase Pannell, the Lowes store manager, told me that if the machine could not be repaired after 3 attempts, it would be replaced. Five attempts have come and gone! It is my opinion that the repair company has failed to notify Lowes of the recurring problem and continues to send the same individual to rectify the problem. There is absolutely no doubt that the charge for the six repair attempts plus parts, labor, and travel, would be more than twice the sum of a new washing machine. Not only has this been a nightmare for my 82 year old wife but a headache for me.
