I've had an account with Saxo for over a year and am very happy with both their product offerings and the support provided to me by my Relationship Manager and the technical support team.
We use their OpenAPI and FIX APIs to develop proprietary trading systems for FX and equity instruments.

Fantastic customer service experience (by Eirik in Digital Sales) who over the course of several week provided timely and high value added support to answer all my question and helped me to commit to Saxo as a key broking platform partner. I thought that the information I was…
I thought that the information I was given was completely accurate. However, I am very disappointed with the length of time it is taking to set up the listed option on the platform which may well mean I will not buy the options as the price is now moving against me. Therefore it may well turn that the whole exercise was futile.

I’m sorry to hear of your disappointment regarding the time taken to list the option on the platform, particularly given the price movement you mentioned. We fully appreciate that timing is critical when you are trying to execute an options strategy.
Having reviewed your case, our records show that your product request was received on 16th and the instrument was added on 17th, which is within our standard 24‑hour processing time for this type of request. This doesn’t change the impact the market move has had for you, but I hope it clarifies that the request was processed as quickly as our procedures allow.
If any part of this timeline is incorrect, or if there were other issues around communication or expectations that we could have handled better, I’d really like to understand more so we can improve. It is helpful to have direct in-app communication ability. I usually do get the right answer and back on my way pretty quickly.
It is unclear how to submit requests for features within the platform.

Worse trading platform ever- DONT USE
Saxotrader executed a stop loss buy order above the high of the day When I queried it I was told it would take 8 weeks to investigate and porvide an answer. It is absolutely unacceptable for a query in a moving market to take that long. it should be a matter of minutes

There may have been a misunderstanding here. The CS representative treated your query as a formal complaint and passed it to our complaints team, who do have up to 8 weeks to complete their review and respond in full.
However, you’re absolutely right that we can still explain what happened with your order in the meantime. Our internal data shows the high of the day, which is also the level at which your stop was triggered and executed. By design, once the stop price is reached, a stop‑loss order triggers and becomes a market order, which is why it was executed in that way.
I’ve sent you an email going through your specific trade details, including when the stop price was reached and how the order was executed, with a step‑by‑step breakdown.

As a Saxo VIP client, having a dedicated Relationship Manager means that when I have a question about the system I can talk to someone who can help me quickly. My relationship manager, Jeff, is quick to respond and make requests to enable my needs. When I requested to trade some obscure stocks in an international market, he had them added to the system within a day. He also helped me understand how to trade options with Saxo on their SaxoTrader platform. They have also been responsive to requests about developing new tax reporting related tools. The options for algo trading are extensive and available in more markets than their key competitors which is one of the reasons Saxo is my go-to platform.
