Virkelig ringe assistance. Min steam konto var blevet hacket og jeg prøvede at finde hjælp via support (help.steampowered.com), men uden hjælp. Det er ikke engang muligt at komme i kontakt med en telefonisk, det skal være det robot halløj konstant! Efter flere dages søgen, fik jeg endelig oprettet en ticket og fik besked at der var oprettet en sag. "Eddy" fra steam support skrev at jeg kunne gøre nogle ting for at komme hurtigt videre i sagen, og at det ikke ville tage mere end 7 dage. Jeg gjorde disse ting, og nu er der gået 2 måneder og der er stadig ikke sket noget, selv om jeg har rykket ham.
Multiple accounts, lots purchase, no flexibility
We've got two accounts. One for me, one for my kid.
In the beggining we purchased on wrong account a few games. Of course the steam is not helpful to move games between my accounts. This way we cannot separate our games. The (poor) customer service said that we can share the family library. So we can play with each others games. Just they forgot to mention that when I play with one game on my library, he cannot play with an another game from my library! So the family share is useless. Same time we cannot play with 2 separate games! Why? Honestly!

i rate steam highly but there is issues
i rate steam highly because it is cross platform with many game developers also making their games that way, it is regulary updated, they often have sales making even some major triple A games more acessible to people with less money than average and there is a huge indie following on there.
however they need to crack down on the many clearly obvious steam phishing sites,and steam/valve need to sort out the problem with scammers pretending to be mods private messaging young or very anxious members unless they do x,y or z,they use a genuine moderators name which gives the report some look of power,dirties the mods name and reputation,and usualy a young person who wont have that much cash anyway is then scammed out of their account.
and to anyone who is thinking of using steam, be aware not all developers write the exact minimum spec and recommended spec needed to play a game, some of them either underplay it and its like god-how can you run this game on this spec? ive played games on a much lower spec than the minimum standard-purely to experiment.
or some of them really overblow it, making out that you really need to have a seriously overclocked ryzen 9,with a high end GTX GPU, and 32gb of memory to run it without issues,if your game is going to need that level of spec to run it right now in 2021 you woud be pricing a hell of a lot of gamers out of the market and only those privilidged enough to build or afford a high end computer will be able to game.

To old to play multiplayer games
I have been playing steam games for many years but now in my seventies and slowed down with age which means I can no longer play multiplayer games and game makers no longer make single player games. Please stop the greed, persuade games makers to make single player games for people of my age, don't put us on the scrap heap.

Steam has really improved of late
Steam has really improved of late, at least in Australia. Prices of games are now in Aussie $, the prices have become more reasonable and competitive, and their refund policy should be the industry standard. Quite happy!
I have paid over £900 for the Valve…
I have paid over £900 for the Valve Index which turned up, does not work properly and steam are insisting that I pay the £60 to send it back to the Netherlands!
Worst experience IV ever had of vr is with this terrible hardware.
When running at 120hz or 144hz, there is a tearing in the right eye/lens/screen. It means that roughly half (the left half) of the right eye is:
* Off-set very slightly from the other half.
* Glitches, with 'fizzy' graphical defects appearing.
* Jitters constantly.
Please see the attached image showing the vertical tearing I am seeing attached (images taken with my phone from inside the headset). I have circled it (in black, so obviously ignore that bit as I added it) to highlight it and can testify that it is far more pronounced when actually waring the headset.
I'm really unhappy with this and want it to work at all hertz as my computer is top of the range and more than capable of doing it.
Further to this, there is so much glare on the Les sea I have to squint while looking at bright areas during gameplay. It so bad, it forms a visible ‘fog’ over the lenses themselves, ruining any chance of reaching immersion.
Now they expect ME to pay for the return shipping!

Bought a game for £49.99, my pc is much higher than the min requirements but the games server is far to out of date for the time, I spent 2 hours playing around with my pc setting to try and get the game to run smoother, but in the end I decided i dont want to play a game that shutters all the time, so I requested a refund, my ''play time'' which was spent messing around with settings to get it to run smoother was 2.4 hours, steam declined my request for a refund because my ''play time'' was over 2 hours, so now I've payed £49.99 for a game I wont play, Buy from game.com instead the steam support is awful and I dont recommended using them.
