I am trying to find the phone number of an old friend to inform him of a death. I was using 411 Alberta to do this search. The instant I typed his name into the 411 search bar, 411 is overridden by this “hawiyyah” company who “take over” and supposedly run a search in 2 seconds and tell me they have the results I am looking for and then demand a card number from me for payment. I am not allowed access to this report to see if it is indeed the person I am searching for - I must pay first. Three times I deleted my search and started over again with 411 and every time this company over-rode 411 somehow and hijacked my request to 411 to search the number. This company needs to be SHUT DOWN. They are blocking people from using bona fide phone search company 411.

It is a total scammer. Yes, I went to the site it say $1.50 cts when I check my credit card they charged me $27.66 canadian.

Mir wird von diesem Anbieter auf meiner Kreditkarte monatlich 29.99 US-Dollar abgebucht. Da ich die letzten Monate extrem viel unterwegs war bzw eingespannt war, ist mir das jetzt erst vor einer Woche aufgefallen. Ich habe hier nie ein Abo oder ähnliches abgeschlossen. Auf E-Mails wird nicht reagiert. Es ist nun seit einem knappen halben Jahr so und mittlerweile beläuft sich der Kostenpunkt, der ungerechtfertigter Weise abgegebucht wurde auf 150 € ca. Da ich oft in den Staaten bin, gehe ich davon aus, dass hier meine Kreditkartendaten irgendwo abgefischt worden sind. Ich habe nun in Deutschland und auch in den USA Strafantrag gegen das Unternehmen erstattet, die Aufsichtsbehörden informiert und bei meiner Kreditkarte für die noch möglichen Beträge ein Chargeback beantragt.
Wenn man sich die anderen Bewertungen ansieht, spricht das Bände und hat Methode.

I started a trial with this company 3/2/2023, to receive a report. The report I received was unsatisfactory so I cancelled five minutes after I paid the trial fee if 0.95 cents, to which I received an email of the cancellation.

Today 4/2/2023, I was billed $49.27, chatted with support who advised she could not find the cancellation email. I desperately tried to send a screenshot to the chat, but there were no options, so I replied to the cancellation email I received yesterday

I've since had to lodge a dispute with my bank, meaning nny card is now locked and I have to wait two weeks for a new card. I have bills deducted from my credit card, so it's massive inconvenience. This company has shady practices. I hope they eventually get removed or shut down.

Update. I have been refunded full amount 5/2/2024.:I'm really appreciative. I think it only fair that I post the result

I ordered a $1.99 report and I’ve since been getting charged a monthly fee of $29 without subscribing.

Again, no allowance for no stars! This a scam. I made a simple enquiry costing $1.50. I received nothing in return. Noticed a few days later that they took $20 from my account. Cancelled that card (!) - applied for a new credit card and shifted all other payments to a debit card, so any scams are limited. Somehow, 2 months later (I've just noticed) they are taking $33 to $34 per month off that card. How the hell did they get that number? I have just had dialogue with them on chat line, filled out the the unsubscribe section but additionally they wanted more information, full name, last 4 digits of card and email address. I told them no, they must have that to be taking the payments out - just unsubscribe! They said they need it again- I told them they were liars and I believe they're a scam - just unsubscribe me. Next message they said they'd process in 24 hours and confirm by email, then shut the conversation down. I'm going to email them relentlessly until I get my unsubscribe notice. Scumbags! Don't use them!

Firstly I was promised a report, after I searched for details about a deceased estate. I received minimal details, nothing helpful at all. I paid a small fee of R18 ZAR.
Next thing I'm being billed $18 per month for something I didn't subscribe to.
I thankfully keep my online/card purchases on my bank app very low. Every month for 3 days they try to deduct $18. I will take matters further if they don't stop trying to steal my money.
I'm not saying it's a scam,but please, I'm not interested in this rubbish. Used it once and they continue to try take my money.
I wouldn't suggest people using their site.
Unless you want to pay for something you dont need.

These payments taken from account. What for?? Don't know of your company. Never signed up for anything from you.So return the money to the account you have then it from. L.

Pity there is not a no stars rating. This is a con! Just look at other reviews. And why is "Who Called Me" website allowing these people to advertise a "free" service when what they offer is not free at all?

Crooks, not at all sure I subscribed, took £15.00 a month for a year, at least, feel like a right mug!! Bank will refund money, so not all bad news!!

Why is this company still able to operate online? From the many poor reviews and my own experience of being scammed thru their site - why can they not be blocked?

This company is a SCAM. You pay a small service fee by Credit Card for information - the information never appears, but the small fee for the same is immediately applied to my Credit Card. A day later (on the 9th of the month) a charge of $28.00 is applied. Then on the 9th of the month another $28.00 is applied and on it goes. After 4 months I realized something was wrong and called my bank. My Credit Card was cancelled preventing any further use. Very frustrating experience for sure. I googled the name of the company that was processing the charges - and it had a VERY DARK & EVIL meaning.

You won't even know you've used them. Probably to search for someone you have lost contact with as people leave Facebook. I have been paying this company £15 a month for years and have no account for their website. Businesses that trick people out of money in today's climate must be boycotted.

I wish I read the reviews first before putting my info in😤🤬I'm trying to locate my daughter who I believe is in danger, and desperate to locate her I saw this bloody site without even reading reviews first, I should know this because I've been scammed before so I signed up tonight & canceled my subscription str8 away after going to read reviews about these clowns after I put my info in! Checked my bank thank God only $1.49 charged & blocked my card str8 away! Ffs should've known better after going thru something similar so please guys be very aware always check reviews first bout any website before you decide to make any decisions!

Do not use, it's a scam. I paid for 1 search (72p) which provided nothing. Fortunately I noticed the following day a payment (£22) for Hawiyyah subscription was taken with another (£29) monthly pending.I definitely did not sign up or agree for a subscription.
Just avoid using this scam service.

Scammers. Illegal practices. Zero starts. Avoid. I paid for one report against one name. Payment came out. The report never arrived. I haven't received any emails confirming i registered, let alone for a subscription. I was not given any option to consciously sign up for a subscription when creating the acocunt. There was no information or warning there will be any auto-subscription. It's automatic and they took money even tho I gave no consent.

This company is taking money from my PayPal account and I have no idea why.
I have never bought anything from them.
Please avoid.
