Be very careful - Harrington & Co that are on Instagram are a Chinese site - hat I ordered was ok but too small, even though the sizing measurements indicated the right size. To return you have to send tracked to China (minimum cost €20). They offered me the usual 10% to keep the cap - I said that a partial refund wouldn’t make the hat bigger - nor would it make my husband’s head smaller. This is the second time I’ve been caught out buying something from China that looked like an English website.
** Since posting this review I have received a reply from Harringtons Hatters via Trustpilot asking me to email them my order number and details so they can deal with my complaint - I emailed them at the address they gave me (Trustpilot @ harringtonchatters .com) and the email bounced back as “failed”.

The hats arrived after about 10 days
The hats arrived after about 10 days. All squashed up in the packaging. But they finally took their shape. The finishing inside looks a bit messy and not the quality I expected. Dont think they are worth £23. The fit is ok though. Not sure how long they will last.

Scam. Mass produced rubbish.
“If something seems too good to be true…” should be a motto for assessing every social media advert. I should have listened to that motto before ordering a cap from Harrington. Their Instagram post strongly implies a traditional hatters operating from Britain with the language leading you to believe that this is craft led operation. So, taken in by this I ordered a cap. The tracking data for the order immediately showed that originated in China. It didn’t take long to arrive, which says a lot about modern logistics (very impressive). But what arrived was the cheapest looking piece of mass produced rubbish that I have ever seen. Their returns policy requires you to ship back to China at your own expense - a non-trivial expense at that. So the hat now resides in my dustbin along with my pride.
tl:dr AVOID!

Clearly misleading with fake reviews. Loads of 5 star reviews from people who havent even got their cap. Avoid ! Trust pilot are no longer to be trusted if they keep allowing this to happen.

These hats look like a superior product that caught my eye straight away, I wouldn’t normally buy from a Facebook add but here I am, the back story is a nice read and love the idea of a beautifully hand crafted hat made in Ireland from a that company that has a 100 day fit guarantee. I’ve ordered 3 hats and took advantage of the extra 25% off.
I’m really looking forward to them arriving and wearing them.

Easy to order
It is a very easy site to page through, and the images are large enough to see clearly. My husband loves this style of hat, and I prefer to see these rather than baseball caps on him. (He wears a hat almost every time he leaves the house.) I saw this ad on FB and since Fathers Day is coming up, it is a perfect time to surprise him. I hope I have made the right choices!
