This is a long time coming-
I was looking for a tradesman in the app My Builder to fix and quote for rising damp. My Builder suggests you can get up to 10 quotes. Hamiltons contacted me & upon reading 120.00 for a quote, I declined. That's where the barrage of abuse started.
Saying, Im a cheapskate and he hopes that I will have to pay for rising damp to be fixed over and over. Yes, charming. I have left a segment of his text for you to decide.
I did complain to My Builder app but they weren't willing to discuss the outcome and as I saw back then, he was still allowed to use their platform!
Hamiltons:
-Well it's the advise you get. And time we put in , travel cost, and paperwork. You get 50 % refunded to you if you go ahead with the work. We have already had to now pay my builder, because you have sent us a message.
Well you pay my lead fee for wasting my time. It's disgusting how you people cost companies money, when you have no intentions of paying, 10 quotes a day would cost 100s of pounds, and thousands a week . Maybe consider this before selecting multiple companies 🤔, I hope you , go with a company that not only charges you. But don't solve problem, only cover it up..
You will learn to pay goid money for doing it properly. You will need this done twice , or three times. But you cut corners, penny pinch all you like
Typically people like uours blame others. Probably never worked in your life. It's not just costs of fuel, paperwork, time it takes , wear on van. Insurances. Ect ect. Your the rude person here. You only see your side of this. Hope it goes well. 😄

So, what do you think? Yes they have excellent reviews but most of the work is outsourced, he makes all the money from sitting on his high horse. Just beware is all Im saying. And yes my rising damp was fixed and to a very high spec with no corners cut.
