I’ve just returned from the 7 day ladies only Uzbekistan trip. I’ve been fortunate to have travelled a lot and don’t usually do tours but I would highly recommend Halal travel guide. Uzbekistan is a beautiful country with unforgettable sites and rich in Islamic history. The experience was made that much better by our amazing guide Humayoun. He went out of his way to ensure we had a great trip, has an abundance of knowledge about the sites and endless patience with us ladies 🤣 I felt looked after the entire time, Humayoun is a credit to the company. The hotels and food were great and well thought out, my only complaint… I wish I had done the 11 day trip and gone to Kiva!
I would definitely travel with them again.

Our first trip with HTG to Uzbekistan was nothing short of excellent. From the time we expressed interest, Soumaya was diligent in answering all our queries and concerns. The itinerary was well planned and instead of going through the usual touristy path of only Samarkand & Bukhara, we were also taken off the beaten track and got to experience unique places like Aydar Lake and Chimgan mountains. Our local guide Humoyun was also knowledgeable and experienced. Throughout the journey we felt safe and well taken care of. We were blessed to have fellow travellers in our group that got along like somsa and choy.

This was my first trip with HTG and I throughly enjoyed it. I am a relatively experienced traveler and generally compile my own itenaries. HTG exceeded my expectations, the process of booking was easy and efficient. It was a pleasure to travel with a company who took pride in ensuring the travellers are cared for. The itinerary was excellent. Soumaya was attentive and efficient in answering any questions/queries. I will be booking again with HTG and would recommend this company . A big thankyou to Soumaya and the tour lead Humoyun for a fantastic experience.

Absolutely brilliant! From start to finish we received personal care from Soumaya. The trip was so well planned and the tour guide was the best we could have hoped for. This was my first time with HTG but I’ve already started looking at my next trip with them - highly recommend to any traveller!

Excellent trip and everything was really well organised. Soumaya really has the local knowledge to tailor the trip incredibly well and also gained insight into Jordanian life and the knowledge of local people. Overall an amazing trip , meeting fabulous people and making new friends.

Me and my sister went on the Andalucian tour. From the moment we landed to the moment we left the trip was faultless and our guide Abdal Qadir was super accommodating to everyone with helpful tips, local knowledge aswell as amazing insights into the Islamic history of the place! We managed to see so much in the 5 days we were there yet didn’t feel exhausted in the slightest due to how well planned the tour was. Would definitely recommend it to all!

It has been my father's life long ambition to visit and explore the famous Moorish history of Southern Spain. We attempted to find a package through the mainstream, however many were not even familiar with the cities of Cordoba and Granada. Eventually I came across the 'Resurrection Andalucia' by HTG which looked very promising, except the group travel dates did not fit with ours. However, very thankfully, we pursued our enquiry. The HTG team were extremely helpful and advised we could explore a private tour if we so preferred. This was very inviting as we were able to adapt the package to our needs and more flexibly as a private group, particularly with my father of 85 years. We tweaked the itinerary a few times whilst HTG remained friendly and patient. The final itinerary and information pack we received was most professional.

The trip was an absolute whirlwind of beauty, wonder, delight but above all, a complete education. The work behind the scenes by HTG and our exemplary guide came to fruition in our trip. HTG ensured they checked in with us during the trip however we advised no need! We were fortunate to have a guide whose knowledge exceeded his years, and even more blessed to learn he is the Imam of his masjid and a student of the deen. His Spanish historical knowledge was in depth and comprehensive but his Islamic studies wrapped his nuggets and gifts of information up in a way we had been hungry for and seeking all this time. We had many other tourists observe this on our tours and requesting to join us for additional payment, however our guide very graciously advised this is a private tour. As did our guide appointed at Cordoba Mezquita, a friend of our Imam, who was also top quality. Clearly in a job he loves and brought the Mezquita to life, as though we had travelled back in time!

Most of all, our guide's character was flawless. He was very patient with my father, assisted and aided him arm in arm going to and from places at our pace, never rushing us. He was able to read the situation as to when to talk with us or simply let us fall asleep in the car! We had the pleasure and privilege of praying behind him at his masjid, coincidentally having my mother's surname, after meeting with his very lovely family and extended members whilst lunching authentic homemade Spanish paella al fresco into the late afternoon in a stunning village setting of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and exploring the delights of the handicrafts and artisan works offered by our warm and friendly lunch hosts.

The whole trip was so fulfilling. Even my father, who is not always easy to please(!), was so satisfied in completing his wish and overcome, especially with our guide. When we returned I immediately contacted HTG to convey this and thank them for preparing a trip which enabled each one of us to fulfil our own personal ambitions as well as our group ones. The group tours may be cost effective, however I found private tours are well worth the slight extra. The car was spacious, the hotels had all the amenities we required and the main benefit was being able to go at a pace which suited my family, especially my parents. We did not have to bat an eyelid about dietary needs or arranging all the various excursions with their requirements, we simply turned up! That in itself made the trip flow in a way that allowed us to truly sit back, relax and enjoy the ride of a real holiday.

I am now hoping to fulfil my father's separate ambition of visiting Istanbul. When we are able to arrange, I will certainly contact HTG and InShaAllah look forward to arranging another stunning trip to reward all our senses and educate us in a most fulfilling way.

I personally wouldn't recommend this company. There were numerous issues during the trip. In my opinion, there was no real ownership of these by the organisers, no apology offered for one of the items not even going ahead (a refund of £50 was paid - but some members had to be proactive in getting this back), and a distinct feeling of the issues being deflected back on the group.

Some of the group were vocal in their complaint both during the trip and after but it was the same copy and paste response. Some of us became really unwell (which continued after we returned) because we had to wait in sopping wet clothes for a few hours for a rogue member of the group who decided to just go off on her own, when we could have quite easily gone on our way.

This was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Uzbekistan is an extraordinary mixture of culture and history. The tour was excellently planned every step of the way, with our comfort in mind. The local guides were incredibly knowledgeable and under the excellent leadership of our tour leader Humayun, who was very accommodating and diligent, we thoroughly enjoyed each city. The architecture was amazing, the ancient madrassas and mausoleums were absolutely mesmerizing and awe inspiring. The locals are warm and friendly, the traditional food is delicious, the handicrafts/bazaars are a treat and being part of a wonderful group was an absolute bonus.

This trip was spiritually uplifting for me, which made it more special. I would highly recommend it. Thank you Soumaya for arranging such a wonderful tour! I hope to travel with the group in the near future.

I travelled to turkey with my 2 daughters alone and was very reluctant at first but Halal Travels made the whole journey and process easy by providing an exceptional service. I would highly recommend them for your next adventure abroad in shaa Allah 🙏🙂

Third trip with HTG but this one was a special one to end the year with. The trip was a road trip so be prepared to be travelling a lot and living out of the suitcase. However this is what made it adventurous for me, as we got a good sneak peek of the bustling capital, Bedouin desert experience and of course the historic site of Petra all in one week! This was culturally and spiritually fulfilling and as usual the host Soumaya provided a 5* service and hospitality throughout the entire trip. We had a really amazing group and I have met some wonderful people. My favourite was the Bedouin experience allowing me to connect with nature. Cannot wait to travel with HTG again.

This winter I have been on my 4th trip with HTG and 2nd trip to Jordan. As always HTG s meticulous planning meant that every detail was taken care of incl spiritual and adventurous itineraries, very comfortable accomodation, delicious meals, comfortable transport, a trusty driver and highly informative, lively, local Bedouin tour guide.
From the quiet, reflective maqqams of various sahabi to the massive, ocean carved landscapes of Petra and Wadi Rum, there is much to see, do and reflect upon in this captivating, blessed country. The warm hospitality of the Bedouins and the wholesome family values they uphold are in stark contrast to the corrupt, decadent and fast- unravelling decline of the fractured society we find ourselves living in the UK.
As always HTG plants trees on our behalf both to offset the carbon emissions as a result of our flights and as sadaqah jariya. HTG emplys local businesses making travelling to the destination beneficial for the traveller and the locals at the destination.
Thank you HTG for facilitating a meaningful, safe, beautiful trip filled with so much goodness.

This was my first trip with HalalTraveGuide and it was truly an amazing trip. I feel very lucky to have been part of this wonderful experience and especially to meet such great people. Soumaya was a great host and organisator.

My 3rd trip with HTG to end the year was to Jordan. Like the previous trips this one also was an experiance I will never forget. Our guide Abu Omar was an excellent guide and an interesting person to listen to. Ahmed our host at Rum Planet Camp was also an exceptional person and very welcoming. Everyone in Jordan made us feel very welcome and like family. My favourite experiance was camping in Wadi Rum and learning about the stars. The 4X4 desert ride was also a very fun experiance. I liked that we were given free time on the last day to explore downtown Amman. I was lucky to be a part of a good group, which made the experiance that much more better.

My perception of Bosnia is a small, quaint European city. Our knowledgeable tour guide, Almir, started our trip in Old Town Sarajevo and took us throughout the country. We visited forests, olympic village and Mostar town. The country has many winding river waterfalls which are peaceful and beautiful. Taking a cable car up to the hiking trails showed beautiful landscapes of the city down below. I liked that the package price was as promised and included hotel breakfasts, tasty dinners, and tours. Hotel was nice, clean, and friendly staff. This tour is for those looking for a quaint, historic, halal, Islamic experience. I am ready for another experience and would recommend Halal Travel Guide.

It was a well planned tour, very professional and friendly tourguides. Overload of plov! But it was yummy, my favourite was the Samarkand plov. The masterclass was very disappointing as the Master himself couldn’t come and his students shown their talents, which is amazing but I didn’t think it was worth it. We still had time to do our own thing which was awesome. But all the sights was breathtaking.

I was searching for a halal way of experiencing adventure tours. Having found HTG on a Google search, I was mesmerised by the trip itineraries. One of the regions of Turkey I really wanted to visit was Cappadocia. Not only was I amazed by the breathtaking views of the region from the hot air balloon ride and quad biking, but the entire trip had a family vibe. Learning from Uncle Hassan (our amazing tour guide) who grew up in Cappadocia added a personal touch. Staying at the family-run Aren Cave hotel added a personal touch. Visiting potters and artists from the region added a personal touch. I felt like I was travelling with family and that's what travelling with HTG feels like. What a family holiday should be! Everything was organised brilliantly from the airport pick-ups and drop-offs to the activities, meals and hotel stay. I was really well looked after. Thank you Soumaya, Salma and team Halal Travel Guide for making this a retreat of a lifetime. Can't wait to go on another HTG tour soon!

What an incredible experience. To summarise, as a young woman, I felt empowered for a number of reasons. Firstly, the trip was well organised which allowed me to not worry about the small things and take a break from the chaos of planning for once. I really enjoyed staying at the stunning family run business: Aren Cave Hotel. Secondly, the itinerary also has proven to be flexible and rich in activities on offer. This included quad biking, learning about Turkish culture and exploring the carved cave buildings with Uncle Hassan (our local tour guide and ALSO local resident of Cappodocia). Thirdly, the option to join a woman’s only group allows girls like me, who’s parents are concerned of a female travelling alone, to travel safely.
I felt very fortunate to have been in a group where a warm and friendly atmosphere developed fairly quickly. Soumaya and her little helper Selma checked in on us in the first night and dropped off some snacks. Such small gestures and attention to detail contributed to a comfortable and homely vibe. Finally, just want to add, although not included in the package, the hot air balloon ride was literally the BEST experience of my life. The views were insanely breathtaking and I hope to bring my family back next time to Cappodocia In Shaa Allah.

A massive Thank you to HTG and Soumaya for making my first solo trip perfect. Everything was perfect from the amazing Aren Cave Hotel to our amazing tour guide. I would recommend booking with HTG with your eyes closed. I have already booked my second trip HTG. Go for it!!!! I did and it was the best decision of my life!!!!
