Last year I made some great pizzas with this dough, however this year I have had nothing but problems with the dough
Packaging has changed which means dough arrives flatter than it did last year..
The last few cooks have seen the dough tearing frequently.. despite following the instructions very well..
My advice would be to get a few balls and see how you get on, for me this year it’s not gone well and I’m considering getting my dough elsewhere or just making it myself!
Customer service has been useful but messages have been repeated which can be frustrating..
Only problem is that I’m stuck with 16 odd dough balls

No, once the dough is out of the fridge you should not reshape it back into a ball.
If it has spread out a bit while resting, that is normal. It is best to avoid reshaping it, as that can tighten the dough back up. Instead, let it relax and come up to temperature first, then lightly dust it and gently press and stretch it out.

Thank you for your review and for being a returning customer.
We want to reassure you that the updated packaging and the flatter appearance of the dough balls on arrival have zero impact on the final pizza. Because our dough is live and naturally active, all that is required after taking it out of the bag is to simply reshape it back into a tight ball and let it rest as usual. As the gluten relaxes during the rest period, it will rise and perform exactly as it should.
If you are experiencing tearing during stretching, it is almost always down to the dough needing a bit more time to rest after reshaping, or the temperature in the room when prepping. High-hydration, live dough needs that rest time after being balled back up so the gluten network can relax—otherwise, stretching it too soon will cause it to spring back or tear.
We are sorry to hear that our customer support messages felt repeated; our team often uses structured advice to ensure key technical steps (like resting and reshaping) aren't missed, but we appreciate how that can feel frustrating.
You still have 16 dough balls in the freezer, and they are good to go! Give them a reshape, allow them a proper rest period to let the gluten fully relax, and they will yield the exact same great pizzas you enjoyed last year.

After a poor and sticky start
After a poor and sticky start and almost throwing the pizza over next door, I gaind composure watched the tutorial video and made some awesome great tasting pizza.
Will definitely recommend GBOF and will be ordering more in the near future.

Avoid this company at all costs review says it all
Still waiting for delivery given a DPD tracking no. which clearly states its not been shipped but their AI reboot says otherwise. Trying to get my money back is going to be another challenge. Avoid if you dont want to be messed around.
After the owner saw the message on this review he mentioned that I tracked his number down to ask for an update but he doesn't seem to know his number is advertised on the payment transaction. Should be embarrassed how this circus act is running.

I am currently on holiday. I would recommend you contact the normal routes.

I would assume you would not like someone tracking you down over what is likely an error and probably just a few quid.

You selected our standard 2–5 business day tracked delivery service at checkout. When you contacted us, less than two working days had passed since your order was placed. Your parcel was well within our stated operational window, and our automated status updates simply reflected that the order was actively being processed in our system for dispatch.
While we appreciate you were eager for your box, bypassing our official support channels to find and message a founder directly on their private account while on holiday is simply not the correct way to get a ticket resolved. Our customer support team handles hundreds of orders a week via our standard contact channels, and if given the chance within the actual delivery timeframe, they would have happily assisted you.

Delivery Company let them down... and then they failed to fix the issue
The dough was not delivered on the day it should have been, so it was left in the back of a van for another 24 hours and was not usable when it arrived... the company has not resolved the issue a week later

The dough I ordered was okay it wasn’t as good as other dough I’ve ordered from companies. Once defrosted I had to re-ball so that I got round pizzas. There was a lot of spring back on the dough as well.

To address the stickiness you experienced: our dough is intentionally crafted with a high hydration level to yield that light, airy crust with an incredible rise. Because of this, it is naturally stickier than standard mass-produced doughs straight out of the tub.
As highlighted in our user guides and video tutorials, high-hydration dough simply needs a little handling technique—a light dusting of regular flour when removing it from the container, followed by a generous coating of our Pizza Preparation Dust, completely transforms it and stops it from sticking altogether.

The box was badly damaged in transit…
The box was badly damaged in transit which I reported to the courier. They told me to report it to GBOF. A number of bags of dough had burst open due to the damage which I also reported a GBOF. They didn’t come back to me with any offer of recompense or replacement.

Very disappointing, package arrived damaged, bags weren’t as cold as could be (which is fair given the heatwave) but all the doughballs were much soggier and stickier than they should be, which led to poor pizzas on cooking. Which is a shame as they are normally really good.

So this review, above, was written after a bad delivery leading to a break in the temperature chain, and it appears the dough proved again in transit.
A second batch was received, as a replacement and was spot on, lived up to my previous expectations.
And can recommend GBOF, the courier maybe not so much.

Please contact support. We always try to add additional gel in hot weather to ensure they arrive perfectly, as it would appear they have done for you in the past.
Incorrect gluten free on website which is dangerous
Sorry to leave a one star but when you have “ingredients” on w a website and the first word is gluten free, one would assume the product is gluten free but not. Customer support was fast but they do not accept that is a problem. Gluten is very dangerous to many people and I think you need to study the allergen regulations and product labelling regulations to see your legal responsibility to mark allergen ingredients correctly and in bold and not to use the section called ingredients to, as you say show the range of products you sell. Shame as I could have been a regular customer but now I am just out of pocket.

Whilst we also do provide a range of other gluten containing products we recommend customers always check the ingredient lists for allergy information. All of our allergens are highlighted in BOLD.

Delivery as dispatched 2 days late and…
Delivery as dispatched 2 days late and then the package was stuck with the delivery company for another 2 days.
I contacted company as I was nervous about the quality of the items and the safety of eating them when they had been in transit for so long during a heatwave. I was told as long as they are partially still frozen on receipt then they would be safe for consumption. When they arrived they were fully defrosted and warm to the touch as if they had been sat in the sun. Again I complained and was asked to send images, which I did along with video evidence, I was told they were not received and to send again, which I did with proof they had been sent. I was then told that they would be fine to eat and they should arrive fully defrosted, which was confusing as it contradicted the original instructions.and that I would not receive a refund. The whole process was drawn out and unprofessional. I now have 24 dough balls in the bin and I’m £50 out of pocket and will not be using this company again, neither will my neighbours who told me about the company or any friends and family as they cannot belie the lack of customer service.

To clear up the facts regarding your timeline: our standard delivery terms clearly state that orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days, which is exactly what we achieved here. Your order was not dispatched late.
Furthermore, we explicitly state that our dough will arrive defrosted. As tens of thousands of successful orders and thousands of highly satisfied customers prove every single week, our live dough is perfectly safe to be chilled or refrozen on receipt to use as required.
Arriving fully defrosted is entirely expected and normal for a live product, which is what our team was trying to reassure you of. While we understand you were nervous about the heatwave, throwing 24 premium, perfectly safe dough balls straight into the bin because they weren't ice-cold was an absolute waste of good food.
Our team reviewed your images and confirmed that the product was completely safe and usable, which is why a refund was correctly refused. We cannot absorb the cost when perfectly good, safe food is thrown away against our expert advice.

A newbie to the Pizza oven and dough…
A newbie to the Pizza oven and dough family. Watched the video and had lots of fun trying to replicate how “easy” it looked. Love having them accessible in the freezer. I was never going to be a “dough maker”
We have had some funny shaped ones and some small under stretched ones but we are getting better and having fun.
We show the video to guests so they can see how it’s done. Have had a good laugh and good food at our get togethers!
