I have been launched into the tech industry within 2 months because of Gradguide.

Got advised to join gradguide by a friend of the gradguide team. I had a basic understanding of the program and what it entailed. I submitted a CV and was quickly approached by Dave. He rang me and we chatted for a few minutes about my needs and goals. I was invited to join the Cohort 8 of the grad guide academy where we were given huge insight into the tech industry and the hiring process.

We watched and took notes on 30 minute live stream/ recorded seminars about an array of topics related to graduates getting hired. Every few seconds Dave would have useful information that is very relevant to us at this stage in our careers.

We were assigned a mentor, I was assigned a mentor from an Saas company in Dublin that was full of useful information and helped me practice for interviews. Having the mentor in the industry is important for outsiders looking to move into tech as they understand and inform the mentee about industry norms and dynamics.

Before my interviews I prepared using the guides and blogs written by the team. I got a phone call with Dave to help me out with the final round of interviews. When I recieved my offer I was quick to thank them as they really worked hard to ensure I got a good result.

If it wasnt for Gradguide I would not have begun my career in Tech. Big thanks to Dave, Gemma, Mark, Ian and the rest of the team!

I had the perfect experience with Gradguide. I signed up, not fully knowing what to expect. Within two days, I was welcomed by Gemma, Gradguide's relationship manager and instantly felt like I was working with people who understood my situation and had a genuine interest in helping me achieve my goal. Before signing up to Gradguide, I was struggling to get beyond the application stage for the jobs I wanted. Three weeks after signing up, I landed my dream role. I was set up with a mentor working in the technology industry and attended the Gradguide workshops which covered topics from CV writing to interview preparation. Gradguide is an excellent programme that helped me land a role in tech! The team were incredibly helpful each step of the way and the webinars are really informative and useful. The best aspect of the programme is that you get matched with a mentor in a similar role that you are looking to get into. Getting advice and information firsthand from someone currently in the role was invaluable. I wasn’t applying for the correct jobs. I wasn’t hearing anything back from the jobs I applied for. I felt like I was going in circles with job applications. My CV needed that little bit of jazz that Gradguide helped me give it.
As I engaged with Gradguide throughout, I seen the problems sort themselves out. Committing to the Academy motivated me to drive forward with my job hunt.
I would like to say thanks to Fiona Lennon and Gemma Dunne, they were absolutely fantastic throughout. Fiona was career driven and really friendly, the talks that we had were really enjoyable and motivated me to be productive in my job hunt. My mentor gave me great advice about breaking into the tech sector. It tends to be quite competitive but he helped me prep for my interview process and allowed me to ask the questions that sometimes aren't discussed like salary and promotions.

Overall, I couldn't recommend Gradguide enough. It's a great service which has now put me on the right track and secure a BDR position in a large tech company.

Great initiative helping graduate students land their dream role

It can be hard to know where to start in the hunt for a job. Gradguide was a great help to me, understanding what is needed to land the job you want. Having a great mentor to guide me through each step of the interview process and helping myself with referrals.

I couldn't recommend Gradguide enough to up and coming graduates. The advice, skills and tutorials they provide are so helpful in helping you to both apply and interview for jobs. The guys make it very simple to develop the perfect CV and how to go about the job application process in the right way. It gave me a lot of confidence in my job application process and I cant thank Gradguide enough for that.

Gradguide is an absolutely brilliant platform which looks to not only to secure jobs for individuals which are best suited to their specific skill set but they also mentor and equip the various cohorts with skills which will be of value moving past their relationship with the platform and into their careers down the line.

I especially got a huge amount out of the interview and CV workshops, which in turn made the whole process of securing a job much more manageable as I was able to approach every stage with increased confidence.

My mentors were Jack and Ian and I couldn't recommend them enough, incredibly knowledgeable in their respective fields and very very sound blokes to top it off!

I signed up to Gradguide and within two weeks Matthew messaged me with details on a job role which he believed fit my past experience. I didn’t think I would have the necessary skills to get the job nor the opportunity to get an interview but he got me a chance to interview for the role and proceeded to call me and give me advice on how to talk about my strengths during the interview. I had been on the hunt for a job for months since finishing my undergrad and throughout my graduate course. I’ve lost count of the hours spend on CVs, psychometric testing and first round interviews. This was a really disheartening experience so around May I decided I’d apply for Gradguide. I’m now one month into my new job in Dublin and I really love it. Ironically, I’m not working in the tech sector or with one of Gradguide’s hiring partners but the whole Gradguide experience undoubtedly had an impact on my direction and my approach to job applications. I had a few interviews with Gradguide clients and the experience as an interviewée was always really positive. I feel like you can trust the companies Gradguide associates itself with. Even though I didn’t get any of those particular roles, there was a huge difference in the level of feedback I was given by interviewers. It felt personal and constructive. And in many ways, this feedback helped my pivot away from sales to the area I’m in now (customer success in property). The entire Gradguide team were so helpful and approachable; the resources and tips they shared were invaluable. The sense of community they created was also very valuable. Hunting for a job can feel very lonely and isolating but I definitely felt more calm being part of the Gradguide community. Finally, the mentor is the jewel in the Gradguide crown. It was so useful to be able to talk to someone who isn’t a clinical careers professional, but who has an abundance of life experience and gets where you’re at. It was very different to even talking with friends because my mentor was a few years ahead of me in their career journey. I found this really helpful. It was great to be able to vent my frustrations, as well as get really good advice, practise responses and just have the chats. Overall, the Gradguide experience is one which I would have no reservations in recommending. I’m incredibly grateful to Dave for the very first phone call, to my mentor Laura, to Matthew and to the entire team and community.

Was looking for a job but with no look at all. I applied for lots of jobs but got 0 interviews or callbacks. I signed up to Gradguide and straight away from using all of the information on their site an the talks they had previously done which they emailed me recordings of I was able to revamp my CV and LinkedIn. I got an interview and was offered a job to one of the first jobs I applied for after that. I didnt even get to the point of receiving a mentor or meeting any of the gradguide team but they were still able to help me hugely in finding a job in the field i desired. Amazing!

Great experience managed to land a role in one of my dream companies after only a couple of weeks. Had an excellent mentor and also great help from the other mentors. Would definitely recommend.
