I have used Golfbreaks for many years for booking trips for large party’s twice a year.
I have never been disappointed with the help and professional service I have received instead reassured and impressed.
Nothing is too much trouble with suggestions or knowledgeable advice throughout the booking process.
I also find Golfbreaks very competitive regarding prices.
I always recommend Golfbreaks to friends when I’m asked.

I went to the Masters with Golfbreaks, what a great experience. Everything from the flight, hire car, hotels and the golf where top class. What made it stand out was the Golfbreaks staff, attentive. Knowledgeable and helpful to a fault. Definitely book again.

So.. I have given a 5 star review because the golf break in Altaona resort near Murcia went extremely well in the end. This was largely expedited by the incredibly helpful owner at the resort, Chris, and his team, especially Steve, who couldn’t do enough to help us and as a result we had a great time. They were bang on time with the airport and off site golf pick ups and drop offs and also provided us with a buggy to get round the resort at least.
There are some ‘however’s’ though:-
1. The townhouses are some distance from the clubhouse and the restaurant and there is no shop on the entire development. Without your own transport getting around will be difficult.. we were lucky to have the use of a buggy, but that was a special favour as they were fairly quiet. I would strongly recommend that they look into a proper scheme, albeit with a hefty deposit and a rental fee to lend golf buggy’s to guests to get around.
2. We were not planning on eating in the townhouses really, so the lack of a shop was not important, but if you are looking to self cater this could be an issue. The relatively nearby garage had some basic provisions but again getting to it without help would be an issue.
3. There is only one restaurant on the entire site, other than the clubhouse (which does excellent food by the way), and the food and service was exceptional, so thoroughly recommend it.
4. The Altaona course is a good challenge though as you would expect in an arid areas the fairways are not massively wide and there are some bare carry’s but we thought it was in good condition and enjoyed playing it. El Valle nearby which we also played is slightly more mature and was also in good condition and a good challenge. Both courses were walkable, though personally I’d advise a trolley.
5. The Golfbreaks team themselves do their best to be helpful, but if you are someone who likes to ask granular questions about the area, accomodation and fine detail in advance to ensure you have all the information before you go, it wasn’t always easy to get hold of, that said the trip was great and the booking process easy and we felt was very good value for money.
6. I would suggest that the townhouses have a bit of a welcome pack of real basics such as milk coffee and sugar even if it’s like you’d get in a hotel, but also washing up liquid dishwasher tablets etc which might not be easy to get hold of otherwise.
7. It is possible to get Ubers in the area so we had little problem in getting to Murcia and back.
Overall, I will use them again, but just hope they understand that there is such a big choice that it might take a few goes and a bit of patience by the sales team to find exactly what we need and not hope we’ll take the first thing they offer.

Really smooth booking experience, we were booking quite close to the date we wanted to travel, and we got lots of good course recommendations to choose from, and sorted it out quickly. Will definitely be booking with them again.

Organising the trip was made easy. All transfers worked very smoothly. The drivers were all extremely friendly and helpful.
I had to phone about a couple of things during the trip and the queries were dealt with helpfully and efficiently.
