Visiting the store yesterday 25.6.24. We were visiting with 4 people with disabilities. We were served no issues, young girl served us taking our order, nice girl no issues. One of our people spilt hot coffee over her arm. Lovely customer seen the coffee on the floor came over with blue cloth to mop up. Very kind of her. When I approached the counter no one was around only the girl serving coffees. Other staff were there but not serving. Took time to get her attention. When I did said she was too busy to get me blue roll and cold water. I shouted louder that it was for a burn. No reply carried on. We did manage to get more blue roll ice and water with the help of the kind customer and the other staff working.

Very disappointed in responses from this server!! Also no one came over to ask if everything was ok or offered any first aid.

I thought the customer was a staff member she was so attentive asking and reassuring our lady. So we greatly appreciated your kindness and responses

My wife went inside while I sat at a table outside, I'm 72 and was exhausted after walking up from our boat in the marina.( we had just arrived that morning) After being sat outside for almost 40 minutes I was cold and decided to sit inside and see why it was taking so long. It was obvious they were quite busty but instead of appologising and saying that , ( which i would have accepted) the young girl behind the counter was quite rude asking me if I expected table service outside not realising my wife had been in the que all this time ,she totally denied that I had been waiting so long, or even at all, placed my coffee on the counter and said " have a nice day" ( i was until I met her) she took the meaning of condecending to a new level, So unprofessional ,centainly not front of house material ..Requires more training. Almost spoilt our entire day.

Rip off merchant. Got a £2 treat drop from them and decided to use it. What a mistake that was. It actually ended up costing me more money than if I hadn’t used it. Had 2 medium drinks and toast (usually £9.98 for the 2 ) and had a blueberry muffin £2,80 got charged £13.10 after using the £2 voucher - Costa’s excuse was the £2 voucher wipes out the toast and drink offer. The only treat drop was into THEIR bank account - beware of this dodgy practice they are only after your money and not interested in looking after the customer

Very bad place to be. I came in to have a coffee and a cake I'm a disabled person with weak legs so i can't stand for too long. I got the coffee but not the cake. So I got up again to ask about the cake. There was a lady and I asked about the cake and she asked if I already paid. I said I did but the guy didn't give me a receipt. She was talking to me like I'm a beggar. I have a walking stick and she can see I'm a disabled person. I felt really bad.

Absolutely appalling service’ at Royal Surrey County Hospital. I waited 20 minutes to be served, bearing in mind this is a hospital environment, and the attitude of the staff was atrocious. I still didn’t get served and asked for a refund. I generally like Costa Coffee but today was something new. 3 staff, one serving and the other two ‘faffing’ around. Had no interest in serving customers (despite their hospital visit needs) and could not believe how they ‘blamed’ lack of staff on their diabolical attitude. As one human to another, it was embarrassing. Surely this is not how people want to turn up in life? Lacklustre, lazy and lethargic. Captive audience allows them to get away with it …. Shocking tbh x

Loud lad slobbed over the counter playing on his phone with random bursts of singing, young girl with clothes that have never seen an iron! One other customer in, dirty tables, food bits on the window ledge, dirty pots on the table. Pay peanuts you get monkeys with no incentive to work! Management need to learn their job and how to man manage, they need to improve on all counts.

Ordered an Americano with milk last night. No milk when got to my table as l was waiting a while for a warm sandwich, went back to add milk as it was left on side and the male member of staff was rather rude to me in front of other customers. Prior to that, he moved my tray and spilt the americano all over saucer. What a shame as the lady who served me was really nice and friendly.

Just had the new "Caramel whipped iced latte" what a waste! Glad I used a free drink because I would have been really miffed paying £4.50 for that! The whip tasted of nothing, there was some caramel sauce in the bottom then the whip for stuck on the ice. Needless to say I won't be buying again.

Customer Service skills needs attention. Store staff are awful.

Great coffee great service and great value

I highly do not recommend this Coffee. Every single year I claim my free birthday treat in Costa Coffees but today when I went to claim it, I scanned the barcode on my app, the girl at the till said me to scan it again but once it has been scanned, the barcode dissapaers. They are really do not know the system, they do not know how to treat people, because of their lack of knowledge my free birthday treat vanished.

The coffee is quite average and definitely not the best one. It applies to few of their other products including hot chocolate. However, the ambiance and the location is perfect featuring an indoor and outdoor seating area. I wouldn’t recommend that you go there if you’re in a mood to get a caffeine kick and a great coffee experience but it’s nevertheless a good place to have a nice chat with friends and enjoy the cozy ambiance.

The premises are filthy. The outside of the shop is covered in some sort of sewage and has been for months.

The inside toilets are constantly out of order and always out of toilet roll.

The premises has had extra tables added which now makes it look more framed and uncomfortable.

To be honest, there is nothing relaxing or appealing about the cafe any more.

I visited west gate costa on 22nd march 2024 , Ive been an regular customer for 6 years and Ive never had any issues using the store before. I brought an drink before using the bathroom.I have an hidden disability and went to the bathroom because It were urgent , I got into an problem and I had to sort it out. I didnt want anyone to have to clean up my mess. I were 5 minuets then I started getting harrassed then that made me more stressed which resulted in more medical issues. I got were threatend by around 5 men , threatening to kick the door in and shouting stuff like I bet shes on her phone and I bet shes dead in there from being on her phone too long despite me keep shouting I have an medical issue , it takes me longer than most. And they also kept shouting that I were beyond the joke , that I have no respect and that I act like I own the bathroom. And started swearing at me through the door. Then they complained that much to the staff , the staff came and I had to open the door whilst the bathroom were in an state and I were in an state. They kept threatening to open the door whilst I had my underwear down. I told them my underwear were down and I told them I were trying to clean up. And threatened to call the police. The staff were an young man who appared to be in hus 20s , he were an new member of staff and the other were an woman who were an lot older , light coloured hair and plus sized. , I just need more time because of my disability. I kept constantly trying to explain this but nobody listened When I had came out crying everyone stared at me and wouldnt stop and nobody appolgised for how They treated me.

Trading standards should be involved here because it’s not regulated and they are ripping people off and giving an inferior product

Costa Coffee, St James’s Retail Park. Norton. Chesterfield
The barista Zoe was such a friendly lady, she made our latte’s perfectly. She was so sweet and friendly.
We had two large latte’s, a gluten free brownie and a millionaire shortcake. It came to £11.25. I thought the price was very reasonable.

Woke up this morning and fancied a coffee so I got ordered a Costa coffee from just eat via just eat I waited for the time for delivery and then it was delayed so I waited half an hour then it was delayed another half an hour in total I waited 1hour40 minutes for 2 coffees and a coca Cala bloody disgusting service

2 x flat white £8.80 M25 clackett lane bargain ? No extra shots or anything but really needed it as was pretty awful milky slop, hardly any coffee flavour at all.

Really no excuse just another greedy corporate offering rubbish service for escalating priced goods.
