Scam company, look at all the bad reviews and it is obvious.
Got bought a gift card, code wouldn't work on retailers, they send me to seller, giftcardmall.com say it's not their issue, it definitely is your issue as you sold it. You can see they just put stock replies to everyone's reviews and don't sought anything out. Person who bought the gift is going to their credit card provider to claim money back.

What a scam! I cannot believe Amazon is selling these virtual visa gift cards that you cannot use and whose balance depletes before you can use it. Spent over an hour on the site kept running into errors then over 30 mins on hold—the recording says hold time is 1424minutes, I thought it meant 14-24 mins but now think it’s actually 1,424 minutes. Bad look for Amazon and bad look for visa..

Received a gift card as a gift for my birthday. Registered the card and the bakance was immediately drained. (Literally 1 minute after) I immediately called the number on back of the card to report the fraudulent activity to the customer service.... They claimed they would try to investigate the issue. They wouldnt give me their name or anything official to ensure my dispute is documented and submitted. I havent even received an email confirmation of my dispute request. Its all a scam! Please file a report with FTC for fraud.

Would give it a “0” if I could. Received $100 gift card as a gift, and, after I used only $36, the card was used for two fraudulent purchases, and I had $.43 left. I tried to dispute the charges, but it wouldn’t let me, and, after two days of trying, I was no longer able to access “Balances and Transactions” to dispute. I called the number listed on my card multiple times, and I couldn’t get to a real person, even after requesting an agent multiple times. This Gift Card is a scam—do not purchase!!
After GiftCardMall reached out to me, we communicated back and forth, and yesterday they told me that they would be sending me a new gift card to replace the one that was compromised. Throughout the period that they investigated my claim, they communicated with me to get the info that could help them validate my claim, and all was handled very professionally. I expect to receive my new gift card within about 7 - 10 days. I will update once I receive it and let everyone know. So far, I am very impressed with their handling of this issue, and I will update my rating once I receive my new card.

Tried to register card because the website was "down" and the next day logged in and my 350 visa gift card now had .10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cannot get ahold of anyone, cant get a response!!! This is a joke and I agree with everyone else -DO NOT BUY FROM YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SCAMMMMMM! After reporting the fraud, I cannot even log into my account anymore!
UPDATE- they have emailed me back and opened a case however it could take 30-90 days to here anything and I was going to use my giftcard for a trip the end of the month so I guess that will be cancelled. Just weird that my card was hacked a day after registering it on their website.
UPDATE!! THEY SENT ME A NEW REPLACEMENT GIFT CARD FOR THE FULL AMOUNT THAT WAS TAKEN. I VERY MUCH APPRECIATE HOW IT WAS TAKEN CARE OF AND IN A TIMELY MATTER.

Scammed by gift card mall.
Tried to register card prior to use, but got an error message. Called number on card, and recorded message said the website had issues which were resolved and try again. When I went back to the site to try again, the transaction history showed someone had used the entire balance! Customer service (bot) phone number leads nowhere - pressed a bunch of buttons and then the recording says "Thank you. Good bye."

I was gifted a MC gift card last December. In January, I registered the card when I tried to use it for an online purchase. The transaction wouldn’t go through, and I assumed it was because the company was overseas, even though I was using PayPal.
I then tried using the card on DoorDash and ran into the same issue. The payment failed, and DoorDash ended up charging my backup card instead.
Today (01/24), I went to a physical store thinking maybe the card just didn’t work online. It didn’t work there either. I decided to check the balance online, and to my surprise, it showed a $0 balance. There were several transactions listed that I never made. The most infuriating part is that when I added up these so-called transactions, the math didn’t even make sense. This was a $50 card, yet after a supposed $18 charge, the balance showed $1.47. I’m not a math major, but that’s clearly wrong.
I tried contacting customer service by phone, but it’s fully automated and I couldn’t reach a live person. The menu options were limited and didn’t match my issue at all—I just wanted to speak with someone who could explain what was going on.
I selected the dispute option and was still directed to leave a message. Even worse, my message was cut off while I was still speaking.
I will be letting the person who gave me this card know about this experience so they don’t give the same card to anyone else in the future. This isn’t my first time using gift cards. Word of advice: use Vanilla instead. I’ve never had an issue with them.

It’s frustrating that it took writing a review here to get help with a fraudulent transaction on my card but I truly can not say how much I appreciate getting a further review and assistance and to get it corrected. Be very careful when you check your balance since there are several fake websites to gift card malls. Otherwise I am thankful to actually get to use my gift card now.

I Called them and the Indian accent person told me that their cards cant be registered. then I Called the bank it was issued under Sutton bank. they said they cant find the card in their system at all. so the card is active but useless. total scam.

I got a gift card for a late Xmas gift. Emt to Register the card and was given a "unable to process at this time" message. Before uneven used it it was locked to prevent fraud. After submitting all info required 7 days passed snd nothing. Made another call and was told it will be unlockrdnin one hour. 2 days go by still locked. Called again and was told there was 2 charges made. In order to get card fixed I now had to dispute the charges. After x4 attempts to disumkute and being on hold for over 2 hours total I had to get back to work. Helluva scam. Get money and hide behind delays and word Salad till person given up. Free money for them. Unbelievable this exists.

Zero stars. Where’s my daughter’s money. Her dad got her a gift card for Christmas. She tried to use it for Roblox on Amazon. She bought two gift cards for $10 each. They took the $25 and she never received the digital order. Amazon cancelled it on their end after a few calls but told us she had to deal with the gift card company. I’ve been given the run around. She just wants the $25 back! This place is hard to get the money back. It was also glitchy when she made the purchase.
UPDATE 2.12.26- my daughter has been emailing and no response now. I called this number that you shared and I can’t get through to the customer service because the card number no longer works…. What is my next step?

Received two $100 gift cards as a Christmas gift. Went to their website today, 12.21.2026, to try to activate them. Was immediately blocked with a warning that giftcardmall was a malcious website reported to download malicious information to your computer. After reading the reviews posted for this "company" it is clear that these are scammers. I am notifying the gifter to report this as fraud. Modern banking laws require no person is responsible for fraud perpetuated on them and they can recoup their money from the place of purchase. I would also suggest running a strong antivirus on your computer/ phone if you placed any information on their website. I won't deal with any representative from this company.

Just activated a gift card and someone in Atlanta processed / transactions within minutes of re-entering my info - complete and utter scam of a gift card company - do not use they aren’t legit you can’t contact them - the numbers don’t work it’s just a hamster wheel of trying to contact them ..

I received a 50.00 gift card as a gift and activated it on 1/12. I attempted to use it today, and it was declined. I checked the balance and it was 0. The funds had been stolen shortly after activation, and deposited in an account at UCLA. A UCLA Bruin card. I'm going to report it to UCLA campus police tomorrow. Calling the number on the card for assistance is useless. Don't buy these cards. They are compromised.
Update: Contacted UCLA and they found the transaction but can't do anything without a report. I reported it locally, but the officer wouldn't take a report because it was an internet crime committed in another state. I contacted the UCLA campus police, but was told they could not assist without a report. So I'm f**ked I guess, and the thief prevails. Wow, some dirtbag needs money for school, so he or she steals it and gets away with it. It's too easy for them with NO consequences because nobody cares.
3rd and final update
What the hell is wrong with you people? My sister purchased it in Seattle. I'll send you front and back of the card, but no way a pic of my ID or any banking info. Are you f**king crazy? Get me 2 Amazon cards at 25.00 each or I'll post his shit all over the internet. I'm done with you people. I'll contact the store and speak with corporate to stop carrying your bogus cards.

I got a visa card from you guys for christmas and whenever try activating it keeps on giving me the same error "We are unable to process your request at this time. If you continue to receive this error, please contact Cardholder services by calling the number on the back of your card." And whenever I call that number I GET A 7 HOUR WAIT TIME.

For all of us who have gotten scammed out of our money because the card was “declined” or “fraudulent” — here’s my success story that I hope with help!
Backstory: 2 $50 cards declined at Target. I called customer service at mygiftcard (the number on the back of the card) and they said funds would go back after 7-10 days. Weeks later, nothing. Called back. They said they would issue e-gift card replacements. Still got nothing. Kept calling back, kept being told "oh it will take 24-48 hours" and "we need a picture of you and your ID" over and over. After a week of this, my (very assertive) husband stepped in and did this - here's the playbook.
Make sure you have a case number from previous calls.
1. When on the phone with customer service, give the case number, and INSIST they provide you the e-gift card replacement on this call. And if they cannot, ask that they transfer you to a supervisor.
2. If they say they can't transfer you, demand that they do.
Say that you'll wait, they can put you on hold, whatever - but the situation is unacceptable and you have to be put through to a supervisor.
3. Once on the phone with a "supervisor" or someone willing to help, insist you receive the replacements while on the phone. They will say "the best we can do is 4 hours" or "it takes 1-2 hours". IT DOES NOT. At this point, my husband said "ok fine, I have 2 hours - I'll stay on the phone until it arrives in my inbox and we can confirm it works" - this seemed to be a key phrase.
After this and a few 2 minute holds and a few more times insisting that the cards be sent while on the phone with this representative, the actually sent the dang replacement cards. I couldn't believe it.
4. Stay on the phone while you register the new cards. We immediately bought 2 $50 Amazon cards while still on the line to confirm the funds would go through.
I sincerely hope this helps anyone who is dealing with this can get your money back too. Best of luck!
