I was highly sceptical when I received a letter through the post telling me that I could be eligible to claim back some of the stamp duty I’d paid on an auction property.
I decided to call getmytax.co.uk and discuss the letter with them.
Everything was clearly explained and I really felt as though I had nothing to loose.
So I sent across the required information and within 6 weeks I’d received confirmation that my claim was approved and the money was paid into my account just a couple of days later.
I would highly recommend this service.
It was so easy and had they not contacted me I wouldn’t even have known I was eligible.

Seams too good to be true but i had leaflet through my door saying about if the property had damp when i bought it i might be due rebate for stamp duty and i thought why not speculate and to my delight it came through. I had to send pics of the damp and other proof i had and go through that process then wait a few weeks and they gave me £3300 into my account. I had to give them my sort code and account number at the end to get my money put back into my account it came out of for the stamp duty and thats when i checked again on trust pilot and then thought well they cant take money out this way even if they was dodgy.. THIS IS LEGITE..

I bought what was effectively a derelict shell of a Grade II listed house in an auction.

Faults ranged from a leaking roof, which had ruined the walls on the upper floor right down to a mouldy, rat-infested basement full of years-worth of rubbish, which included old CRT TVs and several rotting mattresses. Previous occupant must have been a heavy smoker because all walls were various shades of yellow through to dark orange ….

Electrically unsafe, unusable bathroom and kitchen and a smell that turned your stomach every time you went in.

Loved the building though and was prepared to spend the money and do the work necessary to restore the house to the condition that it warranted.

Upon purchase, my solicitor charged me the full SDLT, or Stamp Duty, for a second property of £9675.

Contacted by Get My Tax, and after giving them the required information with regards condition of the house, I was pleased to be advised that they were prepared to take on my case and try to reclaim some of the Stamp Duty Land Tax I had paid.

Entire process took somewhere between 6 to 8 weeks with very little further input from me. Get My Tax handled everything.

Ended-up with a refund of £5367.08 paid directly into my bank account, and this was even after their fees for the work.

Great service, all very straight forward, submitted my information and photos to them and they took care of the rest, a couple of months later got my stamp duty refunded less the 25% comission fee but but still 3.5k refunded which otherwise wouldnt have!
