So disappointed!
I first used George Weil in the 90’s and they have always been my first choice for supplies.
Unfortunately, this time they sent the parcel with free delivery, and for some unfathomable reason they insist on using Royal Mail. The tracking number is not recognised, it’s been a week and no parcel - and they blithely tell me that I have to wait at least 15 Working Days - which means 3 weeks before they will consider sending a replacement!
So not only have I spent a lot of money, I don’t have the goods, will have to wait before getting a refund, and I have been forced to buy from elsewhere, as I have a limited amount of time for this project.
Bitterly disappointed with the lack of customer care, and this looks like being the last time I ever consider using them.
I realise that in one way it’s not their fault - other than they chose to use Royal Mail, but not sending out a replacement is the poorest response I have encountered to a non delivery….
I must add two things - one, when a company says ‘you have to wait’ I did take that as the answer - I’m not sure what more I was supposed to say…we have exchanged 12 emails on this topic….
Two, we did agree to wait and see if the parcel turned up, which it didn’t - the tracking message is the same, so George Weil has refunded me in full.
I do feel for all companies that use Royal Mail - it has become gradually worse over the last 6 months - it’s not the directions - all the other delivery companies manage to leave things, but it is undoubtedly having an impact - I am getting to the stage where I won’t order from a company that uses them.
I do hope that George Weil manages to to be reimbursed by them too!
