I have been dealing with Gordon Brown Law Firm (as an estate agent) for the past 2 years and find them courteous, friendly, helpful and always at hand for general advice. Keep up the 5 star service

Michelle was fab as first time buyers we didn’t really know what to expect but she kept us informed throughout and really helped with anything she could including helping push our sale and purchase through!

As a first time buyer, I wasn't quite sure what to expect from what I had been told could be quite a long and stressful process. This absolutely wasn't the case for me and it's all thanks to Samantha Foulkes who handled my case and did a fantastic job in doing so. She was informative, efficient, friendly and understanding and I honestly couldn't have asked for more. I would highly recommend both Samantha and the firm as others were also very helpful if Samantha was ever unavailable. I highly recommend!

From my initial contact with Rebecca, the process of obtaining probate for my late mothers estate has been handled smoothly and efficiently. We were promised a speedy transit for what was a quite simple case, and that was the outcome. Very professional and efficient service, costs as advised, and effective communication throughout.

Lisa gave a first class service throughout, very clear and communicative. She was supportive of our caution with the purchase of an older property with historic subsidence - we needed to take our time and get the right advice, and we felt pressured by the seller's solicitors to hurry things unnecessarily. And a lovely touch of the moving-in card at the end of the process. A good experience and would definitely recommend GBLF.

Everything explained and happened when we were told it would.

I was assigned, rather than choosng to appoint, this solicitor after selling through Purple Bricks. I was a little apprehensive going with an assigned solicitor rather than one of my choosing, but needn't have worried.
My house sale went through relatively easily, and the staff were always courteous and friendly, both over the phone and by email and letter.
The only small issues I had, which prevented me giving 5 stars, is that on two occasions I needed to prompt the solicitor to check again for documentation I knew I'd sent them - but these were minor issues that were quickly resolved.

Law Firm, in particular with the help given to me by Craig Foot, who kept me completely informed throughout the process. He was of immense help when it came to solving some of the problems which occurred during the sales process, and went the extra yard to ensure they were dealt with successfully.

I have used the services of Allan Maxwell in the conveyancing dept on more than one occasion and I find his service to be first class..........great updates... very smooth service....would highly recommend

Bought new build house from Persimmons was told basically had to use these.
They didn’t act in my interest and advise received from Daniel Pickering was incorrect and now have a full blown boundary dispute that’s about to go to litigation.
I raised this at time of purchase about boundary not being correct and was told issue had been raised with Persimmons head office and boundary would be corrected which is strange as they have no evidence of this being raised by Daniel!
I have full mail stream saved as proof of this.
Extremely peed with lousy service and by the way I’m still awaiting cost of replacement marriage certificate that was also lost by Gordon browns which is great losing an important document also have mail stream of this.

Yes this started in 2015 and that is how long the dispute has been going on for which is why I’ve done this review so late,if you had given correct advise and pushed back against persimmons so I’ve been told this could have been avoided I guess when it’s persimmons offering to pay all legal fees when buying a house your not on the side of the buyer who you are supposed to represent, anyone reading this review free advise when buying new house don’t use solicitor they tell you to use even when it’s free legallities get your own as they will have your best interest in mind

Handled the sale of our property which proceeded on the date advised. Although we emails were always responded to, I had to chase updates a couple of times and would have preferred to have been kept more informed. Exchange of contracts also happened later than we would have liked. Having said all that, I would use the company again as they were good value and got the job done.

Dealing with this law firm has been an absolute pleasure, the excellent communication and the efficient timescales in dealing with correspondence have altered our opinions on Law Firms. We Met Rebecca yesterday and she was excellent with her information and the manner in which she dealt with us was first class. We did say we would give good feedback and we have. She is a credit to the organisation and thoroughly recommend this law firm.
