purchased the Burford teak sofas. Slight delay in delivery due to a shipping delay - but all well communicated throughout. The furniture is lovely and extremely comfortable

The Volunteers at Stow Maries WW1 Aerodrome & the Family of a Senior Tour Guide - Les, wanted a suitable Memorial Bench to remember Les by. We decided on the Sandhurst Garden Bench (due to the Union Jack being part of the design) . I placed the order & contacted Callan (on several occasions) - who was extremely helpful with suggestions & advice. The order was delivered yesterday in good time (& perfect condition) for the day when his Family & Colleagues will Remember Les.

Great communication from the start. Feels like a family company. Ordered the Henley 1.8m teak bench for a memorial, having struggled to find ready assembled ones. Arrived on agreed day. Well made and feels very sturdy. Personalised brass plaque is lovely. Highly recommend.

We are very pleased with our Lutyens garden bench, which has just been delivered as a surprised Ruby wedding anniversary present to my wife. The quality is excellent, delivered as promised & and the engraved brass message makes it a very personal present!

Order process, costs and delivery times. This bench was for a memorial for a family member. Unfortunately my bench was delayed but Callan kindly sourced me another and had it shipped the same day. It has now arrived. The quality all round is superb! Highly recommended.

3 years ago we bought the teak banana bench - over £600. It lasted under a year before the back came away from the rest of the body. Sloane sent us a new one… this lasted 2 years before the sides came apart. These benches look great but are really poorly made with thin dowels pegged right at the edge of the wood, so they give way. Fine to start with as the benches are glued together. So I complained to Sloane and they said it must have been used in a commercial environment and damaged, and I should glue and screw it together. At over £600? I think they should review their suppliers and quality control!
Follow up comments.
I have read Sloane & Sons reply and utterly reject their accusation that the bench has been used in a commercial setting in an unattended location. The bench is in my garden and has never been used by the general public.
After a polite conversation with their sales director, we are left at an impasse, with the only solution for me to deliver the bench to Sloane over 100 miles away for them to repair it.

Ordered the Westminster 3 seater flat arm with cushion and couldn’t be more pleased! The quality is excellent, the craftsmanship is superb, and it was very easy to put together with clear instructions. Outstanding customer service from the team, highly recommend this company!

I left this gift late for my wedding, these guys managed to arrange the carving and delivery on time, communication was fantastic and the product is amazing, very good quality.

Ordered a Lutyens Teak garden bench 4 seater with wooden carving as a thank you present to the Care home who looked after our Dad in the last months of his life. I am absolutely delighted with the quality of the bench & the carved message and the care home staff think it is absolutely beautiful. It is definitely a fitting tribute to our much loved Dad. The staff at Sloane & Sons were so helpful as I rang them before ordering, with concerns about the delivery. On the day of delivery they gave an estimated time slot and it was a pleasure dealing with them.

I don’t normally do reviews however I just thought it right to acknowledge the excellent service as well as the great quality of the two products we ordered.
We are currently doing up our garden and I was able to ring up and get some help on products from a very helpful gentleman.
Both the bench and fire pit arrived quickly and as described and we have been able to enjoy both just in time for this lovely weather!

Couldn’t recommend enough and will be ordering again.

My Partner and I ordered 2 benches we put the first bench together as per instruction no problem, on the second bench however one piece was slightly too large from the factory so we trimmed it down in order to fit. Asked if there was a possibility of any discount of which we got a sarcastic email back. Clearly a small discount is nothing in comparison to having to send a courier out to replace the l unit and remove the original one.

They sent a patronising response via a review and tried saying we fit the bench wrong hence why it didn’t fit, strange as as soon as we trimmed it down slightly it fitted no problem at all and the first bench went together without any issue.

Take some accountability and drop your attitude. There are plenty other good teak garden furniture companies, my recommendation is that you try somewhere else like Kingsley Smythe.

I am beyond disappointed. I was really excited for the two teak garden benches I ordered. Upon putting them together we realised where one part joined the other, the gap wouldn’t close due to one of the pieces of wood on the seat park being slightly too long. A quick fix was to saw a small part of wood off the end so it would fit together. Rather than replacing the whole bench and asking Sloane and sons to send out another courier we fixed the issue ourselves. I asked for a small part refund for needing to adjust the bench.

I sent photo evidence that where the bench wouldn’t have fit together, but because we modified it Sloane and sons totally disregarded any blame upon themselves. It is common sense that it would have cost the company more
Money to replace the bench with another’s courier. To practically be called a liar and told I am at fault and nothing will be done about this is quite shocking. I am extremely disappointed by this after spending so much on two benches.

To add, I haven’t fitted the seat bench the wrong way round. There are stickers that match up the pieces together. So now I’m being called stupid aswell as a liar.
