We are sorry to read that you have been unhappy with our claims process and the complaint outcome.
As part of the claim process, as confirmed in the complaint outcome we must perform validations on the device when received at our repair house. The team were unable to verify the IMEI number in the way that was originally discussed due to the amount of damage. They had therefore asked for the code to unlock and go into the phone settings. As you have confirmed you are not willing to provide that they offered to send the phone back to you unrepaired this would have enabled you to remove the passcode yourself or change it.
I would like to point out as part of your review that we would not sell your device or your personal data. If you have any questions regarding the data we hold can contact the details held on your Terms and Conditions of the policy.
As you are unhappy with the complaint outcome there is details on the final response email sent to you on 06.05.22 for you to be able to pursue with the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Worst company ever! Had a policy for 3 years with them but try to make a claim for anything and they will use every excuse in the book to not repair!

So Slow to do anything!
My phone was stolen and I was hoping for a quick replacement from this insurance. Every thing has been slow. Slow to check docs, I sped it up by ringing them but they then tried to overcharge my excess payment, then couldn't take payment over the phone, then took an hour to email me a link that didn't work. Office closes at 5pm on Friday and remain closed over the weekend causing further delays. All very frustrating to be honest. Would not recommend if you are relying on them for a quick replacement.

Great team and quick service
Gadget Cover were amazing in their process of Apple Watch claim. I made a claim and within 7 days the money for the watch was in my account. Throughout the process the team made sure that communications were made, so I knew where I was in the claim. Once I received the funds and I bought new watch it was so easy to phone the team and make the changes with the team! Highly Recommend.

Would not recommend. I signed up with my work email and then at a later date I changed the email to my personal email. I lost/had my phone stolen on holiday and put in a claim. This was 2nd October, it’s now the 13th. I have provided all information needed however they keep asking for more information and in pdf format(this wasn’t stated in the emails I received). I had to call up to get an update when I was advised that some of the information I provided was sufficient. I need my phone for work so this has been very inconvenient for me and I’ve still not had a decision. If my claim is approved, I’ll be provided with a refurbished phone also.

Lots of bad reviews here so wanted to be clear of my experience. Phone was lost on Friday 10/09, reported to Gadget Cover same day, they emailed back same day requesting proof of purchase etc. Requested from vodafone (who took 2 working days to send). As soon as I emailed the proof (14/09) I had contact from Direct Group who took my excess. The Iphone was delivered to me today (16/09); no more than 48 hours after i supplied proof. Seems like a good service to me...

I am sorry to read you have been unhappy with us.
I can see you took the policy out on 26/08/21 and started a claim on 30/08/21 which was declined due to being a refurbished device. Unfortunately we only cover refurbished devices if they have come directly from a network provider or manufacturer.
Again our apologies that you are unhappy with the outcome and can see you have already requested we cancel your policy which was done at 931am this morning.

Did anyone get the Amazon voucher incentive?
The insurance can with the promise of a £10 Amazon voucher. I've had the policy for about three months... But no voucher.
I've chased now via three emails, no reply to the first, a response to the second, and send the third today. It's been a month overall and they promise a voucher 'will arrive in email in the next week'. So far, no voucher.

I have had three gadget repaired whilst…
I have had three gadget repaired whilst I have been with this company. The process was quick and easy, all done online or you can give them a call. The staff are very efficient, friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble for them. The two repair company's my gadgets were sent to were very quick and the work was of very high standard. Fairly cheap monthly payments by direct debit. My personnel opinion excellent company. I would definitely recommend.
