Selbst ein Stern ist schon viel zu Viel!,
sind schon Viel zu viele "Zacken der Bedeutung" für eines der schlechtesten, unseriösesten, unverschämtesten, sowie menschenverachtendsten Unternehmen, wie es freenom.com ist! LEIDER muss man jedoch einen Stern geben, um überhaupt eine rezension auf dieser Webseite hinterlassen zu dürfen!

Erst kostenlose Domains verschleudern und wenn freenom (zumindest im PC) genug Kunden vorweisen kann, einfach alles abrupt einstellen und nur noch kostenpflichtiges durchlassen.

Auch als free-Services-Erbringer hat freenom.com einzuhaltende Verpflichtungen! Dazu gehören NICHT: einfach Domainnamen KLAUEN und als kostenpflichtige verkaufen, nur, weil freenom durch die free-services an coole Domains kommen will!

Und wenn man sich bei freenom-Personal beschwert, wird einfach mal der Login außer Kraft gesetzt, sodass man selbstredend nichts mehr über seinen Account machen kann und sämtliche Domains auslaufen, respektive als Fehlerdomain angezeigt werden, falls nicht gar mit wildfremden Inhalten, trotz der Zugehörigkeit für noch z.B.: 11 Monate und 25 Tage zu mir...

Ich für meinen Teil werde nicht nur die bundesdeutsche, sondern auch die niederländische und zudem noch die europäischen Gerichtsbarkeiten gegen freenom.com, sowie dessen gesamtverantwortlichen Unternehmen und Vertretungen einschalten! Schließt Ihr Euch an?

DONT - they lock your domain unable for review customer service never gets back to solve this loop. I've had this issue for MONTHS

Registrierung nicht möglich. Egal was man als Domainname eingibt heißt es nicht verfügbar. Kann ich gar nicht glauben, auch bei sinnlosen Quatsch kommt das raus.

Why the issue to get a free domain not yet fixed..Is there any alternative to get a free domain??

Is the worst company for domain name registration.
They stole one of my .nl domains, the domain was automatically renewed and they never changed the status.
I've opened support tickets and they don't answer them, I've sent them emails and they've never answered them.
Fortunately I've already transferred all my domain names out of that company.

It says all domains are claimed like even the ones that are 1/100000000000000000000000 to be randomly claimed.

This company is just one big scam. I paid to renew a .nl domain, but they did not renew it. Their system shows that I paid, but still sends me e-mails that I should renew it.
And they don't answer support tickets. When you call them, they say that it's the wrong department and they will 'ask someone to call you back'.

This is the worst experience I ever encounter.
I log in to check my domain, it completely vanished in the domains list.
Opened a ticket, but still not got any response for more than a week now.
Is this registrar still in operation?

If you're looking any paid domain, please do not use this one, choose other instead.
Customer support is basically non-existent, please think before choosing.

This site is a complete scam. I have had 5 - 6 domains registered with them, and all my domains vanished sometime this week. I am also unable to register new domains now. They are a complete scam. Do not use.

I was happy with it when I created my domain a year ago. Until around a week ago my domain just vanished without a trace from my Freenom account, the domain itself is completely nonfunctional, and support is dead silent. So much for trying to save 5 bucks a year from a domain... Avoid.

I got a free domain from this website and I have had no issues with it at all. i have my domain for about 8 months now it is still working fine but I did try to register a new domain today but you can't anymore. some sort of issue but not sure what it is

Freenom onbetrouwbare partner!
Mijn .nl domeinnaam door hun eigen fout week offline geweest. Vele malen gebeld, email en support tickets aangemaakt: hielp allemaal niet. Uiteindelijk nog weer gebeld en was aardig boos en gaf aan dat ik morgen langs zou komen daar ik geen reactie krijg en nu hopeloos ben: ontvang geen zakelijke emails meer, website offline, etc. Volgende ochtend probleem pas verholpen...
Probleem zit 'm vooral in .NL domeinen bij Freenom, andere tot nu toe probleemloos.
Ben bezig alle domeinen weg te halen nu bij Freenom daar waar mogelijk, kan geen risico meer nemen. Gebruik Freenom vanaf 2017 en sinds ongeveer november 2022 is het verschrikkelijk geworden. Erg jammer, ik sta achter Freenom's visie. Echter op deze manier onbetrouwbaar en ongeschikt.

This company protects scammers and spammers abusing their domains. We tried submitting domains being used by russian spammers and scammers spamming comments and posts asking for personally identifiable information, phising or spamming links that redirect to porn sites that try to inject malicious scripts to no avail. All people said the address abuse at freenom is fake. We tried submitting takedown notices to that address and the only reply we've got is a confirmation from Zendesk and no other further reply. The same thing goes for the address copyright at freenom. The company didn't take down any of those reported domains and the scammers and spammers are still free abusing their domains now.

I don't know if Netherlands allows scamming, spamming and phising, but if this company is in my country, my government would have closed it years ago.

This is one of the worst domain registrar websites I have used. While yes, the free domains are nice, the registrations and domain editor frequently go down for sometimes months at a time. Customer support is basically non-existent and I never get any support.

Do not buy or use this service.
Use another one.

Freenom is the WORST domain hosting ever. They sold my domain to porn sites. If I could give them 0 stars, I would.

When something is too good to be true, it's NOT!

We are a digital agency [ AR-media.net ]
representing domain name proxy services for our customers, among other web services that we provide.

We used to own and manage (as proxies) hundreds of paid domain names registered with Freenom - OpenTLD B.V. They used to have good prices for most TLDs (they still have) and we did the mistake to get in business with them, we didn't know better! Lesson learned!

Basically, besides their service not working properly and many problems occurring all the time, they almost never answer to phone-calls or tickets, or support emails, their support is practically non existent. When they DO answer, they have a very bad attitude and they remove or cancel your ticket, just like that. They even blocked our account from paying them to renew our domain names, or even to be able to manage them and transfer them away.

After several months of very hard work and legal actions we saved most of our domain names and transferred them over to other registrars,
but we did lose a few valuable domain names that Freenom stole from us and they resold to other owners. Obviously we got in trouble and lost customers of our own and got a huge mess in our hands to deal with, our workflow totally shattered, just because of Freenom.
Of course they never refunded any of our payments that they charged us either, but did steal our valuable domain names, which we and our customers never got back.

People be very careful, always take reviews and experiences of other people, seriously,
most probably it will happen to you as well, if you don't pay attention or don't research someone / or a company, before you get in bed with them.

Freenom - OpenTLD is SCAM! Stay away!

unbelievable, paying customer for more then 10 years, found out today that my Domain name was deleted from my account. I have auto renewal on, somehow this did not work anymore got no notification or whatever and lost my charity website. after contacting customer service this was the feedback:

"Hi there,

We cannot help you.

You will need to re-register this domain name at a later time, when we re-open registrations. We don't yet know when this will be.

We do send renewal reminders, but we can't guarantee that our users will receive or read them.
Autorenewals can fail for any number of reasons, and because of this, it will always remain the registrant's responsibility to confirm that a domain name has been renewed on time.

This is practically an owner of free TLD on the web. However being registrar it's offering also other payed for TLD. For the payed domains you should walk away immediately from freenom. For the free TLD (.ml,.tk...) there is no choice aside freenom, so as long you can afford to lose your domain at anytime and not get it back you can use their service.

In reality freenom is very shady business, technically unreliable, sneeky in freezing your TLD and then requesting you to pay for it and similar.
