Would highly recommend using franks flooring!

I want to start out saying Ian who initially took the order was wonderful. Stockton store.
However their new starter from barker stone house She was an absolute nightmare. I chased her for a week and she never called back, no email as promised. . When I spoke to her she'd messed the order sizes up and forgot one. I don't think she'd bothered doing anything. No replies to emails I sent Franks directly. I rang to cancel it all only to have the youny man try to charge me a cutting fee for a held order. Over all terrible experience, I was chasing them right up to the time of my cancer surgery.

Brilliant staff especially Steve. Very helpful and knowledgeable.

Had a terrible experience with Franks, got measured up and paid the deposit on 8th December and they said they wouldn’t be able to fit until after Christmas which was fine. Then in January they rang to say that the carpet was out of stock, I said ok I’m happy to wait, then I heard nothing until March, finally got it booked in to be fitted so I booked the Friday off work and moved all of the furniture out, no contact at all on the Friday so I phoned up and the guy said somebody had messed up and it’s not been booked in, and that they couldn’t get a fitter out. Really disappointed with the service it’s dragged on and caused lots of stress and I still have no carpets. I would avoid this company at all costs.

Franks flooring store was really helpful in picking our carpets and vinyls. No question was too silly. Warren (the manager I believe) helped us stay within budget and was very approachable. I highly recommend

The guy who measured up was really friendly and very efficient! He explained everything and answered every question I had.

Great experience with Steve. He was able to get a previous order up for me so we could get the exact same carpet, was in and out within 10/15 minuites short and sweet great service

I purchased 19 packs of Step Click 12 mm Divine Oak laminate flooring from Franks Flooring Store on Stamfordham Road, Newcastle upon Tyne NE5 2SF on 17/01/2026.

On delivery, several packs were unwrapped. I queried this with the delivery driver, who said it had happened during transport. The flooring was then installed by our joiner while we were away.

When we returned, it was obvious that the flooring was mismatched throughout the hallway and sitting room. I reported this to Franks, who sent someone to investigate. The investigation confirmed that different laminate shades had been supplied within the same boxes.

Franks offered to provide replacement boxes, but our joiner advised that the entire floor would need to be removed and reinstalled because the mismatch is spread across the whole area. This would involve additional labour costs. Franks have refused to cover these costs, instead blaming the joiner for not spotting the issue earlier.

As of now, nothing has been done to properly resolve the issue. Very disappointing service and lack of responsibility for a clear supply fault.

Have a very small bathroom that required some lino. Two turned up and were there 20 minutes leaving the lino fitted very poorly. Cost £60 quid that they said included £10 for silicone. Edges not cut properly around toilet and I have had to try and make it look reasonable. Very very poor service that I will never ever use again. All they are interested in are big jobs involving full house or offices. Avoid at all costs.

Served by nee at Darlington today first gent we spoke to wasn’t a happy bunny but nee was great let us take sample away really helpful salesperson makes such a difference

Great price, friendly and very knowledgeable expert advice from Warren regarding carpets and locations best for them. A credit to the business. We will be back.

2 fitters came in an old estate car with my new carpet on the roof..the fitters were in their 70s and didn’t have the strength or the tools to pull the carpet tight…the door threshes were hacked at and cut too short and the carpets looked shocking…never again!

Took my 75 year old mam to Franks at Newcastle we were greeted by Nathan who went above and beyond with his advice, customer service and support in helping her pick and purchase carpets. I can’t thank him enough for his patience and making the process very smooth. Thank you Nathan. I highly recommend.

We went to Franks Flooring Stamfordham Road to get prices etc. Spoke with Dale who gave us the information we required. He was lovely and easy to talk to, not pushy at all. So after much deliberation , we decided to go back to Franks and dealt with Dale again, who made an appointment for Jamie to come out to measure and give us a price on the flooring we chose. We have now purchase flooring and just waiting to have it fitted.
I found both Jamie and Dale to be lovely, honest lads. And the same flooring we chose was cheaper than we had seen elsewhere. I would highly recommend them as they had already been recommended to us by my sister.

Julie was very attentive. Highly recommend.

Numerous occasions I have been to franks at ryhope in Sunderland. Each time I have been served by Graham. He is so friendly polite and professional. Nothing is a bother and he will always do his best to help you. He is always so pleasant and makes you feel welcome. I would just like to say what a great job he does. To be honest all the staff are nothing but helpful and Barbara who I spoke to on th phone was so lovely as well. Big thank you to Graham and everyone at franks.

Julie at bishop auckland branch was more than happy to show me all the products and found the exact carpet I was looking for and ordered it for the next day couldn't be happier. Service was second to none. Very much appreciated.
