Slow but very sure. As this bank offers really good rates many many customers are going to apply for an investment. Sent additional documents and got them back within a week.money transfered in all in good time.everything done bankwise, so far so good...recommended

I opened a flexible saver account in July with Ford Money and transfers went very smoothly ..... follow the transfer directions given by Ford Money it's for their customers own safety ...I recommend Ford Money as a great saving opportunity for people with something to invest.

Incomplete instructions on initial funding of 2 yr fixed rate account. They implied I use my account no which was stated on the instructions. When my bank tried to transfer money to my Ford Money account they were told no account existed!!! I rang Ford Money telling them to close the account as I couldn't fund it. After a tortuous conversation it turned out they wanted me to quote a reference no as my account no although the initial deposit instructions advised of my account no. They're clowns whom can't write simple instructions, what else are they going to get wrong? - AVOID

Last year these thieves withheld my money under the pretext of due diligence and when eventually they realised they made a mistake they gave me option to close my account with no gesture of goodwill for the stresses out me through £10,000 they withheld of mine. I was told you never asked to close account after listening to the audio file I did but their advisor never gave me the option.... Please don't be fooled with high interest rates SAVE YOURSELF

Have been with ford for a number of years now with flexible and fixed accounts and really can't fault them,my fixed account has recently matured and got an email and letter about a month before telling me my options which ford fullfilled pretty much at midnight on the day.interest rates alway competitive,I'll be staying,keep up the brill work ford.

I received an email from Ford today to say my one year fixed bond was maturing. I received the £45000 I had invested back but no interest? Have other people encountered this problem?

Ford Money broke their Privacy policy by sending my email address to hundreds of other Ford Money customers, not once but twice. They admit they made a mistake. They admit the person that made the mistake will be given training after the event. They admit their email systems did not protect against this data breach.

Ford Money claim I have suffered no detrimental impact as a result of their data breach.

I am asked to clean up their Data breach in my email mailbox by deleting their email and the email addresses. I can delete their two emails. That's been done. To remove from my Address Book all of the hundreds of unwanted email addresses is going to take me days and days to search out and identify and delete those addresses that I do not want in my address book. My email address is also now on hundreds of other email devices against my wishes.

Ford Money don't have any control of any of the hundreds of email devices that my email address was sent to. Ford Money have no knowledge of the security of those devices or if any had email capturing malware on board that's all scammers need for phishing attacks. Ford Money cannot confirm that my email address is not still on any of those hundreds of email devices.

Ford Money just don't want to acknowledge that asking customers to clean up after their data breach does constitute a significant detrimental impact on all of those customers in time and stress.

Closing the Ford Money account is a sure way to protect against phishing attacks spoofing Ford Money. Deleting the email address is a sure way of eliminating phishing attacks spoofing Ford Money. The detrimental impact is loss of interest and time spent getting a replacement savings account and notifying genuine contacts in my Address Book of a change of email address. Notifying a change of email address takes significant time. And that still doesn't get around an Address Book that now has hundreds of unwanted email addresses to cleanse in order to complete the clean up that Ford Money say is not a detrimental impact.

If I or any of the hundreds of Ford Money customers inadvertently got hacked and those unwanted addresses got sent phishing emails then that could lead to fraud if any of those hundreds of contacts were deceived by a phishing email.

But Ford Money just say there's no risk of fraud and no detrimental impact and pass off breaching my personally identifiable data as human error. It's actually a company error by not having trained the individual in best email practices and not having a secure email system that prevents the use of CC'd addresses.

I just expect to be put back into the position I was in before Ford Money disclosed my email address and shared that with hundreds of other Ford Money customers and their email devices that Ford Money do not control.

Ford Money's full and final offer to shut down my complaint was take £50 or reject and make complaints to the Financial Ombudsman Service and the Office of the Information Commissioner. £50 to clear up the hundreds of Ford Money customer email addresses intermingled in my Address Books is a derisory offer. So have been forced by Ford Money to seek complaint resolution by the Service and to make the ICO aware that Ford Money's failure to implement email training or provide safe email software led to this data breach of hundreds of Ford Money customer email addresses. All potentially at risk of being found by hackers.

I have a few accounts with you which are all easily managed on line. Weather its opening new accounts,transferring money in or out or you getting in touch by letter about maturity options everything is so simple. Thank you

I applied for a Flexible Saver account on 12/07/23. I was asked to send ID, which I did the following day. I heard nothing for two weeks and so I phoned 0345 266 1231 on 26/07/23.

I was told that my application had been rejected because I had redacted my National Insurance number on one of the print-outs.

I asked if I would have been informed of this had I not phoned and was told that I would receive an email later that day or the next.

I have not received anything.

I spent quite a bit of time applying for the account and sorting and sending the two documents. I find it insulting to just be ignored because I had redacted a piece of information that had not been asked for and is, as far as I can see, completely irrelevant to an ordinary savings account.

Rather than wait another two weeks or more, I opened a savings account with another bank. This one checked all my details with my current bank which enabled me to have the account up and funded within an hour and a half.

Great service. I searched Ford Money prior to opening an account. Great reviews. They pay interest monthly and pass on interest rate rises, which some banks don't. Each transaction is followed by a confirmation text. Very good website, easy to deposit and withdraw. I haven't had the need to contact them directly
but I would highly recommend FM😊

Opened an easy access account with Ford Money today. Very easy process and account opened quickly. Deposit into the account eventually arrived but was a bit slow. Website is easy to navigate and I am glad they use the Newcastle based platform for their online presence rather than the platform favoured by many Building Societies

I have used Ford Money for several years now and find them to be excellent in every way. Easy to set up, very competitive rates, transfer money quickly, and customer service is great. No complaints at all and would highly recommend.

The account was easy to set up but lots of security questions. For some reason it wouldn't take a name for one of the security questions so had to reload the page and start over. After that, the rest of the set up went smoothly and I transferred money from my nominated account which arrived in just under two hours. A nice touch was the text message informing me of the deposit. Hopefully it will be all smooth running from here on out.

I recently opened an account with ford money and found the process straightforward sending money via my nominated current account was simple my money arrived within 4 hours a text to confirm
On occasion I've made a withdrawal the transaction is in my account within the same day if i action the withdrawal before the cut off time or its the next day I receive it so that's worth bearing in mind when requiring your savings
No withdrawal at weekends so I do keep spare money aside elsewhere for those unexpected expenses that said I find ford money to be fine for my savings needs and offer better rates than most institutions

We have been banking with Ford Money for a good few years now, we have never had any issues with deposits or withdrawals, always get text message with deposits.
Interest rates are very comparative, easy to use safe secure website, would defiantly reamend Ford Money Great.

I have always found they do exactly what’s on the tin
And provide an excellent service and interest rates
Transfers and deposits are always on time even when I recently transferred a very large amount out from one acct.

Should’ve heeded the reviews. Most negative reviews here are complaints around the time it takes to process a deposit or withdrawal. I don’t have an issue with this and the timescales seems clearly explained. Deposits have hit my accounts within the 4-hour window.

My gripe is the archaic back office systems they have to change the nominated account for withdrawals. I set up a joint account with them that I needed to change to another joint account. Having entered all the details online it ended by saying I had to print a form and return it in the post, which I did. They wrote back to me in the post (not by email or secure message) to say some info was missing and I’d have to complete the form again and return it in the post, which I did again. They have now removed the old account and put the new details on but it now says “awaiting verification”. I imagine another letter in the post to explain what their next issue is. In the meantime I have have no access to any of my funds until this is resolved.

This is a really poor way to handle this simplest of tasks and there should be a better, more technical approach to allow these forms or evidence to be submitted electronically.

Really frustrated that they now have a significant sum of my money which they are preventing me from accessing.

15.06.2023 I have changed my rating from 1 to 3 stars as on reflection 1 star was perhaps a bit harsh! Ford Money have now contacted me to explain why they operate this process for joint account holders,
Although I strongly feel they should have better systems in place, I do now understand why they do this. I felt listened to and feel my issues will be relayed back to the relevant teams for future consideration.

On a more positive note, Ford Money are one of the few organisations that offer joint savings accounts with convenient access at a decent interest rate. The overall web and app UI's are good and easy to navigate.

I opened up a ford money account today, I sent a couple of small transfers to my account, these eventually turned up after 2 hours, I then transferred 9k but forgot to add the reference number, so I now have to wait up until 5pm the next working day for the money to land back in its original account, ford money does have an attractive interest rate, Ford money do say they are working on different methods to speed up payments, whatever you do , when you make a payment into ford money, make sure you add your REFERENCE NUMBER onto the payment, otherwise ford money will reject the payment and it will get returned to your original bank, your REFERENCE NUMBER is your ACCOUNT NUMBER followed by the first three letters of your SURNAME, for example someone with the surname "SMITH" their reference number would look like this 12345678SMI , your payment should then reach your account in two to four hours, as FORD MONEY use BARCLAYS BANK as their clearing bank, these payments transactions are done periodically every 4 hours, I have sent many payments to Ford money, i can see the times these payments are cleared from the text messages I am sent when they happen and they are as follows. 8.10am, 12.05pm, 4.05pm, 8.05pm. so as you can see these payments are cleared every four hours.

Bis zu einem gewissen Punkt läuft alles ok. Nachdem man sich über Postident verifiziert hat wird es arg. Nach Postident gibt es keinen Hinweis darauf wie es weitergeht. Nach einigen Tagen die Hotline angerufen, die schnippisch reagierte und meinet es wäre Post an mich unterwegs. Nach etwas mehr als einer Woche erhielt ich dann einen Code, der aufgrund uneindeutiger Zeichen und extrem schlechtem Druck in Weiß auf weiß-transparentem Papier jedoch nicht zu entziffern und damit zu verwenden war. Kein guter Start um bei Ford vertrauensvoll Geld zu parken.
