This app saved my life
This app saved my life. It's an absolute game-changer! I spent 80% of my day on my computer and the internet is full of distractions and harmful temptations. I hate to waste time, but I have poor willpower and discpline. I've tried many distraction blockers of all types, and FocusMe is the best, most comprehensive software that I've found. Although it's not perfect, if you commit to using it and iterating your settings and blocklists daily as new challenges arise, you will not regret installing this app! CHEAP for what it's worth! (for example, there are porn blocking softwares that cost as much as or MORE than FocusMe, yet FocusMe blocks so much more and even blocks porn BETTER!)

Best blocking app for PC
Great customer support and best blocking app. As a big procrastinator I've tried many apps but yet they all were easy for my procrastinator brain to turn off. Except FocusMe, I've stayed with the for more than 2 years now, they shut off every way to distract yourself. Customer support always reply in timely manner and are helpful. I recommend this program to all procrastinators that are struggling with social media or gaming.

Useful product but difficult to set up
Useful product but difficult to set up
The functionality is exactly what I need.
But I found that when I went to try and set up FocusMe on my new computer, I did not succeed.
Also, the interface is a bit tricky to figure out.
Edit: I wrote to the support team on the day that I entered this entry, but using a different email address to my Trustpilot account.
Edit 17/08/2024: After a month, I've exchanged emails with the support team, but the problem is not fixed. I've now booked a meeting with them at an early hour due to timezones.
Edit 24/08/2024: Booked a call with the help desk. Did not receive the zoom link that the meeting invitation said they would send 30 minutes before the session. The call did not happen.
Edit 25/08/2024: Resolved the problem with help from the support team. Only, it took > 1 month.
Edit 28/08/2024: The delay was probably due to a technical problem which meant that my emails did not reach the support team. Not their fault. I've bumped up the rating.

not for Linux users
Unfortunately this software doesn't work if you're a Linux user. it does try, but 9 out of 10 times it will ignore and fail to block a site even though it's set to block it.

Highly Configurable But Lacking in Polish
I liked the fact that FocusMe is configurable. I also liked the fact that the customer service was reactive to questions (even on weekends) and top-notch from a technical point-of-view
I didn't like the fact that some of the options are poorly implemented. A good example of this would be the "Show Timer" option. Despite setting the checkbox parameter for this function to TRUE repeatedly, it fails to remain active.

FocusMe is Amazing. The application is extremely customizable to meet individual needs (which is the basic entry bar for a system like this). It is robust, ever present, and effective. And their technical support feels more like a partnership than traditional "tech support." They really seem to get it: this isn't just another "app" but an integral part of maintaining a healthy relationship with technology. Like most valuable experiences, you get out of it what you put into it. Take the time; give it a chance; and stick with it. It'll do you good.

Focus me is perfekt for desktop... The forced mood option is very important for me, so that I just can't stop the app or do anything but accept the reality that I can't open the blocked apps till the session pause comes.
