Pleasantly surprised …
Harrison came out to review the state of our loft insulation. He was very thorough and tested everything and gave us a complete bill of health. We were impressed by his knowledge and learned a lot as he checked things. Although we did not need any further insulation I would certainly approach the company again if and when we need building help in the future.

I was pleased with the efficiency of the initial survey and the explanation of how the insulation could be upgraded. Moisture in the loft was an issue, although I was not aware of it. I was aware of concerns with foam insulation sprayed on the inside of the roof. Two guys visited and this was all removed. The timber work was treated and SuperQuilt Blanket insulation with vents was stapled on the inside of the roof. It took about a day and a half. The larger amount of time was the foam removal. The original assessor, on a return visit, was able to register a 15% to 0% drop in the fibreglass moisture content. The wooden frame moisture had dropped from 7 to 6

First stop did an absaloutley fantastic job, on our roof, with our chimney and finally insulating our loft. House is significantly warmer when the heating is off. Energy bills have been cheaper. We couldn't recommend first stop enough for any roofing or insulation work.

Lads did an outstanding job
Lads did an outstanding job, they were done in only a day. Ceilings are all intact lol. House has been warmer and more efficient since. Issues in our loft I.e moisture have been resolved. I would very much recommend first stop for insulating your home.

Extremely satisfied
The installation process was very smooth and the area was left clean and tidy. Since the installation, the temperature in the loft has remained steady and we have noticed a drop in our fuel/heating usage. I would certainly recommend them!

Excellent work from First Stop
Excellent work from First Stop, after three visits problems are all resolved. Moisture levels in loft down to very acceptable levels. Insulation doing its job and the roof treatment has sorted out the moss and the roof now looks new.
Customer satisfaction from myself is five star.
They do need to work on the first contact with the receptionist who can sometimes be abrupt and defensive. Once referred to the relevant manager, all is resolved.

The experience I have had and received from all the staff at First stop home improvements has been above and beyond. Harrison has come to retest after a very successful insulation install, and explained in great detail and shown us how the products used have corrected the issues we had.

We had a mixed experience ,the…
We had a mixed experience ,the explanation about what would happen with the work and how it would improve our insulation was excellent .The team that came to undertake the work cleared all the old fibre glass insulation and tidied up after . They then fitted the new insulation and we were pleased with it , unfortunately about a month later it was falling down .We learned they had been outside contractors not part of the companies own team and they apparently didn't have a proper knowledge of the product which was inside out and fixed with gaffer tape .
After an assesment from a fitter from First Stop's own team he advised it would need a complete refit by one
of the companies teams .
This was undertaken by 3 of First Stop's own fully trained staff,2 weeks later,who worked extremely hard to rectify the work to the highest standard .We would recommend the company when they use their own team who carried out the work to the promised highest standard .We have had no issues since they undertook the work and we are very happy with the completed installation 😀

Mr Jared Hendrickson from First stop…
Mr Jared Hendrickson from First stop home improvements by appointment came to see me to assess my loft for insulation. An American man ,enthusiastically and very much engaged in the task ahead looked and inspected my loft. I was concerned that I would not understand his findings. But much to my surprise I did. Jared explained with pictures he’d taken and a diagram on paper, what was going on. He very much made me feel at ease and under no pressure, he explained in layman’s terms so that I understood what was needed to be done and as to why.He patiently listened to my questions and answered them well. Definitely an asset to the company.very impressive, very much a people person. Nothing too much trouble .A good communicator.

We were visited today by Jared Hendrickson who explained thoroughly and politely about what the company could do for our rather difficult roof spaces, and he showed us an impressive sample of your loft insulation.
We shall not be living here for very much longer and shall probably leave roof insulation to future residents. We would certainly recommend your company to anyone.

First Class First Stop loft insulation
The salesman Sam explained the insulation product, price and installation procedure clearly with no frills or flannel.
The office staff fitted dates around our availability and were not phased by last minute changes.
John, Nick and Harrison, the installers, worked at pace in very difficult conditions. The outside weather was atrocious, constant rain hampered the transfer of the insulation product from their van to our home. All the time the men were pleasant and mindful of the impact on our living. They cleaned up during the day when they felt it was needed and left our home very neat and tidy overnight as well as on job completion. An industrial vacuum cleaner would have been helpful but they managed.
The three men worked as an efficient, cohesive team for two and a half days of Very Hard Work. Excellent
