A useful way to get quick quotes from local tradesmen provided you take a little care yourself.
I have used this site twice and obtained good quotes and a got a sound job done on both occasions. You need to take responsibility for checking up on the bidders - this is a free service to customers so don't expect them to do everything for you!

Used this agency to find a decent plastering firm.
Used this agency to find a decent plasterer in Hampshire, not an easy task. They found me Acclaim in Fareham who quoted promptly and competitively, started the job on time and have given me a superb result replacing Artex ceilings and decorating. All at great value price. Findatrade made finding a quality trader easy for me.

I am a trader
I am a trader. Bought job details for £15.60.
Made contact with person via details. The woman explained that they were not getting work done , and that the council had quoted £2000. For what I dont know,she never said. Seemed very bewildered. She had explained she was a pensioner and was not getting work done. I expained that I had purchased details from findatrade. She knew nothing of this. I had a lengthy debate with Paul. I asked for contact details for the M.D / CEO. Said he would provide. Then got a message saying if I sent the details of complaint.He would pass them on to M.D./CEO. And promised to do this.
I have been in touch with findatrade.com They will not return my money,and only offer a credit. and for less than I paid. I believe I have had 19 leads in past. And never any success,3 were no phone answer so on the whole a waste of time. Another money Making scheme by an unscrupulous bunch. C.B.Services. Scotland.

We spoke to the homeowner who had posted this job and they said they had spoken to you and decided not to use your services for their job. It may be that rather than tell you this, they decided to pretend they didnt know anything about the job, rather than have to say they had looked at your profile and decided against using you.
We always provide refunds if you are unable to contact the customer or on initial contact are told the job is no longer available. However, in this case it appears there was a live job, but the customer had decided not to use you. Despite this we still offered a refund.
The refund would have been added as an account credit in line with our terms and conditions (the refund is minus the VAT because jobs bought with credit do not incur VAT and therefore was of the same value). However, you asked for your account to be closed down instead. At this point, there was nothing further we could do to help.

I have tried to get builder back to finish job of took of me £3,000 pounds on 31/7/2017 got all paper work and his text complete only the outside wals saying will be back then it was weather which was fine now September saying bad ankle I tried rating him and findatrade.com not put him online or help me to get him back saying nothing to do with us

I am sorry to hear you had a poor experience with a tradesperson.
After you left your rating and feedback comment for this company we contacted them to try and resolve the issue. However, they disagreed with your version of events and it was not possible for us to help resolve the situation. As no resolution was found, your rating/comment was approved and their account was suspended and it has remained so every since.
When using a tradesperson, we advise all customers to only pay when work is completed and you have checked and signed off the work. For larger projects we advise staged payments, but again, only pay for the work done to date and which you are completely happy with.
Our service is to provide customers with a hassle free way to find local tradespeople. We do checks on all companies who join and also provide a detailed trade profile and a rating/feedback system to bring accountability to a tradesperson's work. Up until this point, this company had received three 5 star ratings and we had no reason to believe there would be any issues with you using his services.
Although we do all of this to reduce the risk when hiring a tradesperson it is not possible for us to guarantee that no issues will arise. It is still the responsibility of the customer to do their own checks before choosing to hire someone, and we provide detailed help on how do this on our site.

Great site for finding a tradesman
I have used findatrade a couple of times now and it has been a godsend after moving to a new area and not knowing who to trust for doing our renovation work. Found a general builder and electrician very easily and the builder is even coming back to do more work later in the year on our downstairs cloakroom. I have recommended findatrade to friends too who also needed help finding a tradesman.

in all my dealings with findatrade they have been spot on,your in good hands.
i have been using findatrade for nearly two years now.in all that time they have been very good.they are not the biggest site in this genre but thats no bad thing.as you get true personel service.i wont mention the big companies for obvios reasons but some are advertised on tv etc.and i have had very negative experience with them.with findatrade theres never ever any hard sell.also very helpful to the trades if a trade is going through a slow period they will offer free leads to get you back on your feet.and give you lead details within seconds.not taking your money and passing them on an hour later when job maybe gone.all in good i highley recommened.i give six stars out of five.

Good way to get new work for my business
Have been using Findatrade just over 2 years now and am very pleased with their services and help they've given me with my account. In that time have had well over 50 jobs from them and won a lot of work through them. There are time wasters out there but these are few and far between, but if I can't get in touch with a customer then I just let them know to get a refund. Ignore the other review on here, a chippy I know also uses them and has had no issues either.
