Disappointing

Like other reviews I was disappointed with plastic covered products which do not resemble the photos on line. I also found Farmdrop are not reliable, cancelling items last minute even though I’d telephoned ahead to check availability, substituting items, arriving nearly an hour early and saying I’d been texted when I hadn’t. As others have said, I gave it a go but very sadly back to supermarkets for me…

Thank you for sharing your review. I'm sorry to hear that you felt disappointed by the service you received with your most recent delivery. We have worked hard with our producers over the last few years to reduce the plastic packaging in our range as much as possible. We also have filters available to use, including one for 'plastic-free' items, so customers can shop without worrying about the packaging they'll receive.

As for the availability of items, any issues after you've placed your order will be caused by the supplier not being able to send this to our delivery hub. Any such issues are notified to impacted customers as soon as we're able to share them; we're always looking at ways to make sure that those updates are going out sooner. Your driver should always be checking that an early delivery is acceptable with you before trying, if you're not receiving any communication to get that approval should you decide to give us another try, please let us know.

I was under the impression that I was buying products from farmers in the SW of England. To find organic sweet potatoes from Spain - with a plastic cover did not really fit the description. Heading back to Waitrose! Sorry - gave you a try.

Thank you for your review. I'm sorry for any confusion surrounding the provenance of some of our range. Of course we will do all we can to source produce within the UK where we can, but where we can't, we'll look as close to our shores as is possible. Any goods sourced from outside the UK will be clearly labelled with its provenance on our site and app.

We also make it easy for customers looking to shop without any plastic, by using the "plastic-free" filter on each shopping category. I hope if you choose to give our service another go, that you're able to use this function to find what you're after.

First experience with Farmdrop.

First experience with Farmdrop.
Positives: I have received my order in time. The major of the things seems like fresh and what I tried already that was with nice taste.

Negatives: Couple of things are smashed and crashed, e.g. the 1/4 of the grapes are smashed because it was under a couple of things. All the things was covered with mud e.g. milk, orange juice which bag did not contain any vegetables.

Sadly my patience has wained

I have used Farmdrop for a few years, I feel I am well placed in writing an honest review of this company. I love their ethos in using local producers, farmers etc and I really found the company initially very good but with a few teething problems. In recent times I have used farmdrop less and less as I have had a few bad experiences with missing items, produce not really up to scratch, a delivery not turning up and getting lost in the ether with no communication letting me know, I had to keep trying to contact them to get information. After the delivery didn't turn up I had to go shopping at a local store to get the items, but as farmdrop take seemingly forever to refund your money, I had to pay out more cash from my disappearing bank balance. Obviously they did refund my money but it takes a little while, sometimes a week to ten days. I only order from them now when they offer an incentive, which are sometimes very generous.
And finally yesterday's experience just embedded my lack of confidence in Farmdrop. I set my alarm for a nice early 06:50 Sunday morning get up to receive the order from between 7-9am. 9am came and went, after getting through to one of the team at 09:30 I was informed that the delivery was running 3 hours late, so should expect it by 12:00, by 13:00 nothing had arrived, so I tried calling again and again and again. I assumed nothing was coming like I had experienced before. Just before 15:00 I receive a message through their app (I am not sure why they didn't send me a text like they normally do regarding delivery times) which luckily I had open as I don't get notifications via the app from them, telling me the delivery is sheduled to arrive at 15:19. I was meant to go out at some point but waited in for hours just in case something appeared. Don't get me wrong I understand that things can go wrong, it is just their lack of communication is so frustrating. It is tiring to be honest. I hope in the future they can figure out the communication, delivery and refund issues and come back better but until then I'll only keep shopping when I receive their incentives which is not often as I can't just aimlessly wait for things to arrive and hope the produce is all there and of good quality, I would rather just go to a shop.
And finally (rant nearly over), after messaging, calling, leaving messages and emailing yesterday, apart from them letting me know the arrival time via app message, no one has been back in touch, seems strange customer service? I am sure a message on here may have a different affect. Hopefully other people's experiences are a lot better than mine as it does have a good ethos.

Appalling service!!!!

Ordered some Allpress whole bean coffee and not only was my delivery late it had over 2kg of coffee missing and also some of the packs were plunger grind not whole bean! I rang them and was refunded for the items missing and told to re-order which I did for delivery the next day 9-11am, I then received a text the following morning to say my order was delayed by 3 hours, which is not good tbh, I tried ringing but they closed the phone lines early, no one replied on live chat and I finally went to bed at 11pm and never received my delivery and was left with no explanation or contact from them to let me know!!! This really isn’t how to run a business!!!

Disappointing

I like supporting local producers, but they really need to improve their service. I used to be a loyal shopper, but for every order made, there was always something missing or delivered by mistake (e.g. given regular/cheaper minced beef, instead of 5% fat without being informed in advance; or missing items without any mention nor refund). Every single week, had to check my delivery and e-mail customer service for a refund, until I gave up and moved back to Waitrose, which is by the way the far cheaper option. This is no way to do business.

High quality and specialty ingredients

I couldn’t find frozen cranberries at any shops online or in person. Therefore I decided to try farmdrop as they were available online. I ordered some other specialty ingredients and bakery items. Delivery and delivery updates were easy and clear. The food was all high quality and as expected. My only complaint is that the loaf of bread I bought literally was covered in mould on the morning of expiration. I had planned to freeze it that day but it only lasted 2 days from delivery and was completely mouldy on the morning of the expiration date

I LOVE you guys

I LOVE you guys! I'm in the U.S. and one of my best friends wife suddenly passed away and I wanted to send him some sweet treats and fresh food to his door. And how could I do that without spending a fortune on shipping?! Plus, I wanted it there fast. I found you on Google and I was able to order him his favorite foods and have you deliver it right to his door in less than 2 days. Thank you!
