Great service at EVO St Lukes
We had our two e-bikes serviced at EVO St Lukes, Auckland, and the team there were fantastic. The booking system was good, and on arrival the team did a quick appraisal and advised of the state of our bikes and the need to replace brake pads. They pointed out that the chains and one of the gearsets were showing signs of wear, and would need replacement at the next service. The service was carried out in good time, and the communications were great.
Terrible service faulty goods
Terrible service - bought a lock that turned out to be faulty, Evo refused to replace despite their local manager acknowledging the fault. When I complained via their web chat, the person responding was rude and snarky and argumentative and when I emailed the support line I was ignored. This company does NOT stand by the products it sells - would never shop here again

Unlawful attempt to close off a CGA claim.
I took my light, which I purchased in November 2024, into the store to see if it could be fixed or a warranty claim could be made. I explained that the light stopped working/charging some time before the cover for the charging port fell off after repeated failed attempts to charge. The first server was polite and initially helpful.
Another person then came up and interrupted and said that the missing charging port would negate a warranty claim. I explained that something falling off after the defect could not negate the claim for the defect - under the Consumer Guarantees Act. the second person said that was not the case. I explained again that the order was important. He interrupted again and said that wasn't the case. I started to explain again and he interrupted yet again. I then asked him to stop being a d*ck about it. He then said he wouldn't accept being called a d*ck and used that as an excuse to close off the conversation - and said they would not process my warranty claim.
What began as an ok and helpful experience turned into a cynical attempt to stop providing a replacement light.

Great service! Was here for manawatu mtb festival when I noticed my rear and front brake pads were full blown metal! We brought it into Parmeston North Evo and they managed to fix it within 10 minutes and the great thing was, it was so cheap! Thanks Evo, my bike is feeling GREAT

Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable team…
I love the team at Mount Evo…I find them to be very friendly, helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. I’m frequently popping in for repairs (I have three teenage boys who love to mtb!) and nothing is ever too much hassle, they will try and get it done on the spot, and the price is always great. They have also helped me with getting a bike through the Workride Scheme which I’m very excited about as it has helped me get a dream bike which I wouldn’t have been able to afford otherwise. Appreciate these guys!!

Wouldn’t recommend Gold Service Plan
The initial purchase, product & customer service were very good. My low score is because I paid for their gold service plan add-on and I had to take it in for a check up service. When dropping it off the customer service rep said ‘if there are any parts needed under $80, we will just put them on and that comes under the service plan.’ So I was very surprised to be charged for oil when I went to pick up the bike. He repeated the statement again and apparently what they mean to say (but don’t) is ‘if there are any parts needed , we will not ask your permission first, we will just put them on and you will have to pay. Only our time is covered by the Gold Service Plan’. Very poor communication skills. I also will not be recommending the Gold Service to anyone. A shame after a very positive initial experience
