Sent them all pictures of any damage on the car, gave me a price promise of £9000, then started nitpicking when they saw the car, apparently 1 stone chip requires a whole respray, put the price down to £8200. Absolute jokers working for this company. I would avoid if you can!!

Didn’t turn up when stated. Phoned Nick who then said he would call driver and phone back. Never phoned back and didn’t answer any of our calls. Not sure what he gained from this experience. Other than 1 star reviews!!

We used Essex Car Buyer recently to sell our Audi and frankly, they were great.
We had looked at other 'popular' car selling companies but I didn't fancy an automated quotation, and wasting time driving to a centre and getting 'chipped' on the day.
These guys are great: Real people not a computer. sent an enquiry, they replied and followed up with a call. Asked for the details and a few photos (not a million, unlike some!). Agreed upon a price and a date for collection.
On the day a very friendly guy arrived with a low-loader. Went over the car and took a short test-drive (left his low-loader and keys with me).
Happy with that he rang 'the boss', passed my bank details, and payment popped up within 2 minutes.
Loaded the car and job done!
Stress-free and painless. I have no qualms about recommending Essex Car Buyer and will definitely use them again.

The sales person Nick who I was dealing with was very frustrating. Every time I called to arrange to pick up the vehicle he said he would check & he would call me back in 5mins. I waited a whole hour & no phone call. It was a totally frustrating experience. Never sold my car to them in the end.

Sold my car very quickly through Essex Car Buyers. The process was very easy, and they kept in touch all the way. I was offered a fair price and they collected my car a couple of days later. After viewing the car and going for a quick drive they transferred the agreed sum by faster payment so I could check the money was there before giving them the car. Tom and all other staff polite and nice to deal with.

A great experience from my initial enquiry to my XC40 being loaded onto the transporter. I was offered a very fair price for the car which I immediately accepted. Tom dealt with the DVLA transfer and was generally a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended!

Professional service, fair price offered and polite engagement throughout a 10 year old Vauxhall Corsa sale. Light years ahead of 'we buy any car' and 'motorway' who offer more and then pay less.

Process was easy from first communication with Kev to arrange an appointment to inspection and collection from Tom who was very kind and professional, will definitely be using again when I need to.

From start to finish very prompt and professional. Each step of the process was clearly explained to my elderly mother and a fair price given for her car.
The only thing we had to do is cancel the insurance.

Kev was really accommodating given that I had to cancel the visit twice (my late husband's car). Tom came to see it, looked at the service history and took it for a short drive - and yes he did ask if I wanted to come with him. I then spoke to Andy on Tom's phone, agreed the price, all paid into my bank account, checked and DVLC told and emailed to confirm. I had a Suzuki I needed to get rid of rather than trying to sell privately I found EssexCarBuyer where I was instantly contacted by Kev who gave me a fair price for the vehicle but was subject to viewing the car what I was informed.

We selected a time that worked around my self so very flexible. Was on time with Tom being friendly and overly welcoming and explaining the process. Gave keys checked over agreed upon and price and within 15 minutes of agreeing price payment was made into my bank account.
