I recently passed and wanted to take the time to pop a review on here to say that Jason is hands down one of the best instructors. He was so patient and put up with me throughout every single lesson despite my complaining every five seconds and being unnecessarily difficult - sorry again if you are seeing this !! You can tell he really cares about his students and genuinely enjoys lessons. He always wants to get the best out of his students and i couldn’t thank him enough for his support and patience because I highly doubt I would have passed without him. I defined am biased, but he is the best instructor around. Ten out of ten I would recommend to a friend any day of the week. I didn’t care too much when I started learning to drive but by the end my driving lessons were the highlight of my week thanks to him :)

Ellie was an amazing driving instructor! Looked forward to every lesson and throroughly enjoyed every second I was in the car. Never a stressful moment and always so helpful in every area of practice. Hope to see her again soon, have recommended to my younger family for when they want to start learning!

Andy was a great instructor he helped to calm my nerves and make me feel comfortable. I also found him to give clear and digestible advice/ instructions. I would highly recommend anyone looking to learn to drive to use Andy at ellisons.

From my first lesson Woody, made me feel at ease and relaxed so I was only focused on learning to drive without any anxiety or stress. I was able to have a laugh but also be serious within my learning. His teaching was spot on and varied from lesson to lesson so it didn’t become too much of the same things over and over.

I had Paul Hughes as my instructor from September 2024 to January 2025. He was simply excellent. He is polite, punctual, and friendly. We quickly built a rapport, and driving lessons became something I looked forward to every week. He is a patient teacher, finding ways to explain learning points that were easy to understand and absorb. This was in tandem with a wealth of online resources to speed up my learning process that he would personally send after each lesson. He placed an emphasis on reflective logs, and would discuss them at the start of lessons, assuring me that he was working towards my weaknesses to develop them into strengths. He balanced lesson focus between his expertise on what needed to be covered next and my requests to work on specific areas of my driving. Paul was fantastic. I wholeheartedly endorse him.

I had Colette has to be the best driving instructor so nice to talk to while driving(when it is appropriate) teaching all the minor details and has so much knowledge of the road and tips for passing your test

Collette was a great instructor helping me pass first time. She always found a way to make me laugh and also think about what I could do better. Thank you Collette!!

Just passed my test with ellisons and would like to say that Simon collet is absolutely amazing instructor always stayed calm and patient even when I dident would recommend for any new driver that simon is the man to teach you

Over many years I have been learning to drive and for one reason or another hadn't passed my test. I found Ellisons online after deciding to pick up learning again and was given Andy as an instructor. He was brilliant and always ensured that we were making the most out of our lessons and being as productive as possible as I booked a cancellation test with 3 weeks to go whilst also being 6 months pregnant. He knew how important passing my test was and went above and beyond. I couldn't have asked for a better instructor to help me pass my test and feel confident to drive independently

Chris is an outstanding instructor. Driving never came naturally to me but his calm and patient methods meant I passed first time. Thank you Chris!

Passed my test today, i had james as my driving instructor and he was incredible. As a very nervous person i couldnt be more grateful for his patience and his ability to have made me as confident as he could have. Always praising my good work during lessons and always supporting me. Very calm and reassuring. And helps really well when u make mistakes. Id recommend james 100% to anybody!

Caroline was the best instructor I’ve ever had and put me at ease from the first lesson. Kind, caring and reassuring with her teaching, whilst maintaining the balance of making sure I understood why and how I could correct where I’d gone wrong :)
Very organised as an instructor, went out of her way to help if I couldn’t make a lesson at normal time/day. Also Ellisons as a whole, a very efficient company, from organising lessons, to payments, to using apps- to organise it all from start to finish. *THANK YOU!!* Still in shock :)

I was honestly not the biggest fan of learning how to drive initially and put it off for a few months. Then, I was recommended Andy and he was able to fit me into his schedule despite mine being equally as busy!! I am forever thankful that he has dedicated such time and effort into teaching me so carefully and kindly, as well as being so so patient and supportive. As an awfully anxious person, Andy made me realise I’m so much more capable than I think and helped me with my confidence driving, guiding me smoothly into a first time pass! His teaching is impeccable and incredibly efficient, whilst being super supportive, ensuring that you are doing everything correctly and getting the most out of your lessons. Andy is definitely the best driving teacher out there and I could not recommend him enough!! Thank you :)

Finding the right instructor for me was something that initially felt quite difficult because I didn’t really know what to expect. Jason ended up teaching me and I can say with 100% certainty that he is the best teacher I have ever had for anything in my life. As someone who struggles a lot with anxiety, I never thought I’d get to actually passing. Jason was endlessly patient with me and made driving lessons a laugh and something to look forward to. My confidence absolutely skyrocketed with Jason and things finally started to feel easy because of the way that he teaches. Ellisons in general is a fantastic driving school and I would recommend them over and over again for anyone who wants to learn to drive. But, Jason in particular I think must be one of the best teachers there is.

Highly recommend Sandy, very knowledgeable instructor who'll get you to a good position to pass your test within no time, and have a laugh as well.

I would highly recommend Wayne for automatic lessons in Weston-super-Mare. I was particularly anxious about learning to drive but Wayne helped me find my confidence and was extremely patient. Helps that he's a friendly, funny guy too.

I had booked a taste and then not got round to sorting any lessons. Ellisons found me Andy who managed to squeeze many hours of driving in with me in such a short period of time. With Andy’s help I became confident behind the wheel and ended up obtaining a perfect pass when I sat my driving test
