This company does not know what communication is, the staff particularly the RLO’s are rude and disrespectful.
Leave your home with no care for the hard work gone into it.
Broken appliance by them, broken WiFi by them shoddy gas man sub contractor who doesn’t even act like he is qualified, water gushing from the boiler as he couldn’t be asked to check this after messing with it, ripped doorbell off the wall when at home to remove it.
Being ignored after making a complaint and never an apology in sight. Disgusting business and hope our paths never cross again

Equans don't even deserve 1 star. They've been out to my property on 2 seperate ocassions now and left the ladders up to the scaffolding out with no lock on both times which is breaching HSE regulations and making this a Category A safety hazard. They refuse to come back out the same day to fix this. Making the building prone to being broken into.

NIGHTMARE COMPANY! Beware of letting them in your house or outside. Megan is a liar, claimed the site manager (don't know his name) came to my house around Christmas to place back my property. That was a lie as I myself and my neighbour both have security cameras ( I highly recommend everyone should have them). He never once came. They damaged my brand new rubbish bin by scratching the top of it. They didn't pay for the damage, one worker left urine on my toilet seat, they left a massive mess of brick dust everywhere (took me hour's to clean everything in my kitchen). I had to contact their HR department to deal with my freezer outside to be put back, that took 3 month's for them to put it back. Also I've water coming into the house where they drilled the solar panels. Now everything outside and in has water damage. BE CAUTIOUS LETTING THEM DO ANYTHING TO YOUR HOUSE!!!

This company employees cowboy traders. Imagine now the door handle was not going back properly the trader was using WD40 then it was still not working and then he broke the handle and i am still waiting for it to be fixed 1 month later. Furthermore the boiler was leaking and so much repairs has been needed
Worse company ever to work for Can you believe that they actually paid me, £5,12 pence for my 10 x hours owed, basically I’m getting 51p per hour, told you they was bloody awful company, still not been paid my full entitlement, odbye
I was on probation for 3 x months at Equans , employed as a Multi Skilled Engineer, I left recently, this has to be the worst company I have ever worked for, in my 40 c years within the Construction Industry.
I left with no job in hand.
The lies, deception and blatant bull shit they tell you, I would never ever recommend working for this company, please stay well away.
And they owe me 10 x hours pay and I cannot get it.

Review
3 1/2 years I had been with Equan’s formally Bouygues & as a company they were great. They were helpful with bereavement pay & the sick pay benefit was a god send elevating any worry of money worries while genuinely off I’ll.
That said the PFI contract of Peterborough schools was ran by nothing but a toxic management team that had nothing good to say about any of the FSO team. without the FSO team the contract would have failed with schools not opening in the morning’s & being secured of a night. Issues would not have been raised & dealt with in a timely fashion & hazards would have not been dealt with on a radio call keeping students & staff safe.
Issues were raised to the contract manager & in a meeting in July 2025 & by November 2025 nothing had changed. Moral was low with nothing but a carrot being dangled when people spoke up but nothing ever came of it.
The management team were inept & the main offices resembled nothing more than a retirement home of people that just didn’t care they just wanted to put down anyone beneath them while they concentrated on rowing a boat towards their retirement date.
Good members of staff came & then soon went when they realised how bad the contract was being ran & how demoralised you were left feeling.
Proactive approach was frowned upon due to “not being in your skill set” yet a dynamic risk assessment could have been done by the individuals instead you were just reprimanded for it!
You would email management to make them aware of a situation or concern but for them they would just ignore the email,not responding seemed to be the way of not having to deal with the issue.
PPM’s were the main priority so they could be seen to be hitting 100% monthly but as a consequence TSR Jobs were being failed.
A new system was created so jobs could be logged but slowly issued to the M&E team so there was no time limit on completion, the good old internal observation sheet was born so no fines were incurred.
The boots on the floor kept the cogs turning & the students & staff safe while the managers just quibbled over who was charging their cars at work in the day to get their free fuel!
Just one big fraudulent management team,avoid at all costs of your own sanity!
Equans Services Limited are health & safety non-compliant to it's UK employees
I am an Ex Customer Service Officer who worked at Equans Services Manchester office between August 2021 to April 2023. Equans Services Limited dismissed their legal obligation to implement my Workplace Stress Risk Assessment in March 2023. They deliberately continue to hide their unlawful criminal non compliance to the UK public. Equans Services Limited whose parent company is Bouygues Services Limited are also aware because it was me who whistleblew to all senior executives, including the Bouygues family.
In order to protect my mental health, because of an ongoing failure of Equans Services Limited to provide support of any description to its Complaints Department (which their only resource was me), in April 2023, I had to leave Equans Services Limited.
I met with their CEO, Jean-Philippe Loiseau in 2024 who stated he would carry out a review. Subsequently, Jean-Philippe Loiseau denied any significant stress in their Crumpsall Manchester office. Equans Services Limited proceeded to deliberately have my LinkedIn and X profiles shut down, stating I was a 'Spammer'. This was done intentionally, in order to stop my worldwide reaching a member of Dubai's ruling dynasty, of my whistleblowing disclosures to the public, of Equans Services Limited, unlawful managerial wrongdoing to its employees. This remains an ongoing risk to all employees under their supposed adherence and compliance of UK health and safety to its employees. Equans Services Limited, along with the knowledge of Bouygues Services Limited are aware of this and because 'I' as their employee with just under two years employment (with 4 months into a promotion) without any managerial support, are not covered under the present (two year rule), UK employment law. And as 'one' employee, seeking assistance from the Health & Safety Executive, they do not provide any protection to 'one' employee, the Health & Safety to 'one' employee, is non existent as they will not investigate under current UK law. Under Equans Services Limited's virtue signalling to the world, they remain a non-compliant to UK Health & Safety of it's existing and future employees. The CEO, Jean-Philippe Loiseau should be ashamed of the way he treated me as their ex employee, who never once stated me by my name or an apology for the way I was treated. Equans Services Limited have all health and safety policies, t's crossed and i's dotted but that is as far as they go because when they did not comply with their legal obligations, to their employees health and safety in the workplace, Equans Services Limited senior managers including their executives (and its parent company, Bouygues Services Limited) closed ranks and denials in order to hide their unlawful Managerial criminal wrongdoing against the Health and Safety to UK employees. Shame on you, Equans Services Limited and parent company, Bouygues Services Limited.
Equans Useless Job
This is regarding (Equans/Birmingham City Council, West Birmingham Roof Leak Contractors)
Very disappointed, I reported a sever roof leak repair at the end of October or beginning of November, (Because of this roof leak, my bathroom ceiling have collapsed), thank god it didn't fall on my children. appointment was booked for 25th November for inspection. The Equans contractor came and confirmed that the whole bathroom roof is leaking, the fix requires 2 men and it's a 4 hour work so he booked in another appointment for fix which was on 17th December(Yesterday).
Now equans suppose to send the same person who inspected the roof because he had all the pictures, records, and he knew what needs to be done. But instead another contractor came yesterday, (This wasn't the same person that came to inspect, took pictures and had a record on what needs to be done), so I had to explain everything all over again.
He saw that my bathroom ceiling have collapsed and the entire roof is leaking, instead of fixing or replacing it with a new roof, he put couple of sellotapes and ceiled it, he done a 20 minute weak job and went away. He didn't fix anything.
The roof leak continues just like no one ever came.

I worked very briefly for Equans as a part time cleaner in Suffolk.

At this particular site, their was alot of competition and gossip between cleaning staff. The person above me didnt have a good thing to say about anybody on site ( including security men, office workers, colleagues) and I had found I was also being spoken about to others.
I experienced a lot of rumours being spread and received some personal comments from people I had never met before.
It was a strange place to work and I didn't appreciate the person above me being incredibly two faced and yet didnt clean to a great standard at all. But would happily be disrespectful toward other cleaners.
I would avoid this company if possible, it seemed to me management would protect the person at fault rather than the person on the receiving end of the poor behaviour.
120 minutes and counting of being "The Next caller in the queue... Set of joke" contractors" frightened that they have been given such a big job on my dad's Housing Association flat... Let us pray...
Trustpilot truly need to have a rating system that shows how far below one star a company or organisation actually is.
Equans don't care about housing association tenants. My father is old, disabled, pays his rent out of his pension, as just over the Pension Credit threshold, but because Equans know they already have the contract with Unity Housing Association (obviously doing it on the cheap, so as to take over the contract from the previous terrible contractor), Equans feels no pressure to act professionalky, timely, and not tell lies to the family of customers and their carers, about when they will be starting work.
Equans, I am the WRONG tenant for you to me messing around, as I will be naming you in the Housing Ombudsman complaint I am getting tonight. You and Unity, together are a match made on hell.
Despite being "The next caller in the queue", I have been hanging on the phone for just over 1 hour and 15 minutes. I think they have all gone home, despite, promises since last week Thursday, to call me back, as they had promised, and nearly two weeks since they first promised the housing manager of Unity they would do so.
Sick of them messing tenants around. They think we - especially working class, pensioner-age people have no voice... Well, I know you don't answer negative reviews, but you and Unity will answer to the Hiding Ombudsman, as I have gone through all the steps needed before being able to raise a complaint.

Worst company ever
This company has a contract with Anchorhanover. Residents had no say in this contract but foot the bill via the service charge. Today work was carried out to repair/replace electrical components. On completion he left a damaged ceiling and had failed to clen up the mess he had made in our communal hallway. Worst company ever.
Filled my life with hope! Paul T & Zuber (im so sorry I should've asked how to spell your name, mate)
Out if all Equans employees that have come to do repairs/work on my home since I moved in 10 years ago, the two that have stood out the most for their kindness, compassion towards my situation and general great skillwork, are Paul T from the Joinery team and (I'm so sorry I am unsure how to spell his name, i should have asked) Zuber/Suber/Zuba? from the Plumbing team. Both of these workers helped me out yesterday 29/10/25 more than they would ever know. They were understanding and caring, they wanted to ensure their work was completed to the best they could manage and within the same day! I had no kitchen sink unit, or washing machine since before covid (2018). The last 7 and a half years I have washed my dishes and clothing by hand in my bathtub, like a bloomin' victorian! So to now have a functional and beautiful high quality kitchen fitted by both of these men is amazing! I cried when they completed the job and left because they've filled me with new pride to know this is my home and it is coming back together again slowly. Paul T, Equans Joiner, completed what was supposed to be a two-man job ON HIS OWN and was here for 7 and a half hours straight completing it all to the best it could possibly be. He fitted a new kitchen sink dual cupboard, another standing dual cupboard and a dual floating wall cupboard (i dont know how he did the wall one on his own, but he did!!) He is an angel! They both are. Thank you so much guys, you have given me hope in a dark time, I appreciate the two of you so much!

Terrible company STEER CLEAR they lack any organisational or communication skills the work they carry out is of very poor standard!
Start works and leave the job incomplete for months and provide no information on what they are doing or when works will be done. Would not recommend them to anyone and honestly don’t understand how an organisation like this can keep going!
Further to my recent review
To add to my recent review , after fourteen years working for this company I was made to feel unwanted by this company after I raised some issues.
I was called in and the lady manager, rather haughtily, said to me " You need to consider your future at this company "
So , I did consider my future , by taking them for the full 24 weeks sick pay available. This led me nicely to my 60th birthday , and the claiming of a lovely civil service pension.
The two managers at Barnsley FM , based in Wombwell , lack empathy and people skills. I had the last laugh 😃

Loyalty Means Nothing to This Company!!!
After working with this company for over two years as a self-employed professional, I was shocked by the way I was treated once they no longer needed my services. Despite always giving more than 100%, maintaining high standards, and showing complete loyalty, I was suddenly made to feel unwanted and dismissed without genuine reason.
It became very clear that loyalty and hard work mean little to this organisation. Rather than recognising the effort and dedication I consistently brought to their projects, management seemed more focused on finding excuses to end our collaboration than showing even basic professional respect.
The culture I experienced towards the end was deeply disappointing — a lack of transparency, fairness, and integrity in how people are treated. No one who commits themselves to a company for years should be made to feel disposable.
I take pride in my professionalism and the quality of my work, but I cannot in good conscience recommend a company that fails to show the same values in return.
