The major problem I have is that every time I call for an update on a claim, I am told that my doctor never responded to their request for information. That is not true since I have the dates they responded. I believe that EmpiRX employees do not add the doctor’s information to the database so the next time I call they can say the doctor did not respond. Then I have to contact the doctor and ask them to call EmpiRX again. And so we go, round and round. I think this is illegal. In addition, I was given the number of Kiera Braxton who is supposed to be my advocate at EmpiRX, but she doesn’t call back.

I, María Veliz, really appreciate Evelyn Muñoz for everything she has done for me in regards of my medicine. She was above and beyond to make my experience easier and pleasant. Thank you for everything

Worst RX company . They will deny prescriptions each month . They literally have a minimum wage employee override my doctor. i wish i could give then negative 10 stars . i changed my insurance just because of them

This is the worst health related company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They routinely deny prescriptions allowing some minimum wage desk jockey with absolutely no medical training or knowledge to override doctors with years of experience, They do this to save employers money because the more they save an employer the more money they make. meanwhile my wife is suffering with back pains for 2 weeks while they conduct a clinical review to see if they think the prescription should be filled. This is not the first time and I am really getting tired of spending hours on the phone arguing with incompetent individuals who are obviously reading from cards with printed responses because they have no idea what they are talking about.

I would put no stars for this company. I’m watching my wife struggle with these liars, cheats, and thieves as they give her the run around for a pre-authorization on a medication that was pre authorized before and should have transferred. To pursue this will take weeks with no guarantee of the authorization. We will have to drop her company insurance for Medicare, which has now become the affordable alternative. Just another scavenger company feeding off the pockets of working people. I don’t dare look up where the ceo and his gang of thieves are headquartered because the temptation to go there and wring his neck would be to great to withstand. Thieves, liars, and cheats is the nicest thing I can say about these bums

My former mail order pharmacy forwarded my prescriptions to this company... but apparently EmpiRx was not competent enough to receive all of them. This led to me running out of critical neurological medication. Furthermore, when I changed insurance companies and needed to transfer my prescriptions, EmpiRx flatly refused to do so, even after repeated requests. I have now had to request my doctor to issue brand new prescriptions for all of my medications. I would NEVER IN MY LIFE use this ridiculous, obstructive service again.

My school district found this 'unknown' company and switched a very large district of employees to it as 'cost savings' program for all to have for prescription Rx. It replaced Optum Rx which for years was excellent, efficient and timely. Rarely was there ever a reason to have to make contact. With 2021 being the first year with EmpiRx, it has been a nightmare! Every new Rx has a problem so that it requires patient phone calls to them, often to the doctor also which can take days to resolve a problem such as, how the doctor's instructions were written. Mind you, this has NEVER been a problem before. They are a mail order which should save you copays rather than monthly, you get a 3 months supply. But NO, they misunderstand the way the doctor's instructions are written and when you expect to receive a 3 month supply, they send a one month supply creating a larger copay. They also DO NOT want to pay for name brand Rx, they will deny and try to move you to a generic. If a generic is not available, they give you a runaround to ask for more documentation, deny your request. This is for something that has been provided by every other company that we have had. Very frustrating! Avoid at all costs!!

My wifes work switched to these guys and our copays have tripled..

This company is the absolute worst prescription coverage company that I have ever experienced in my entire life. Not only do they make your medical office preauthorize almost every prescription that is given but then they will require a phone call to you to get it done. The phone call to you will have no specific time or date that they will call you and they have a 3-4 hour window in which they will call. You cannot call them because of an obfuscated reason of that's not the way it words. In my experience, everything has had to be preauthorized. I ended up paying for my medications out of pocket because I would have to wait a week or more to get needed prescriptions --- and the wait was not guaranteed to produce a filled prescription. What am I paying them for when I get no service?

Avoid this company if you can. unfortunately we consumers have no choice in the middle man for insurance prescriptions. I have spent hours trying to get filled a prescription that my son has been prescribed for over 10 years. By the time they MAIL Forms the patient must suffer. I was assured by supervisor that she would walk through my issue with the " clinical " and make certain the prescription over ride was done, 3 days later, another trip to the pharmacy, no meds, Im waiting for a supervisor to call me back again, and today i am told I cant speak on my son's behalf after speaking for hours with prior reps, this will be the 5th person i will speak to on this issue, patients should not have to deal with these restrictions. A run around to what end? Save the big pharm money, so sad.

This company, EmpiRx Health (empirxhealth.com) located in Mechanicsburg, PA is absolutely horrible! They only really exist to act as an intermediary, in the capacity of a bean counting pitbull, on behalf of their clients, whom are medical insurance companies that also provide prescription coverage, where under the guise of providing cost savings and efficiency to both us the end user, and our insurance providers, what's really going on is that they are doing everything in their power strictly to save the insurance company money, while doing absolutely nothing for those of us whom actually need quality prescription medications at a reasonable cost.

Through the use of bullying and intimidation tactics, they try to force you to accept cheap generics, even if you discover that after taking them, that they're ineffective and don't work for you, or even worse, cause you to have an adverse reaction due to the cheap fillers and other substandard ingredients used in many generics.

Sadly, if you do find that only a brand name medication works for you, with this fraudulent company, you're out of luck. Their objectives are designed to wear you down so that you throw in the towel, give up, and submit to whatever they tell you to do.

Their tactics are to deny your first request for a particular brand of medicine, and if you appeal, they'll go through the motions of requesting needless additional documentation from you or your physician, raising your hopes for an eventual resolution, all the while fully knowing they have no intention whatsoever of providing you with the brand name med you requested. This is their process, they are relentless, and it will continue unless you give up and take whatever ineffective generic they force you to accept.

Until my insurance company switched to these criminals, I had Optum Rx for my prescription meds and they were great, but since dealing with this bogus company, it's been nothing but a nightmare. They are without a doubt, absolutely the most unethical and dishonest company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Do yourself a big favor and run while you can!
