Extremely poor telephone conversation with Sarah from customer query from elite medics. Website misleading. My daughter was registered for the incorrect course and no accountability from E Medics.

Hopefully the lessons are of a better quality.

A personal message to Sarah - please remember that most parents have professional qualifications and are not imbeciles. Immaterial of this, remember that you are offering a service and also being paid to do so. You are the point of contact for the company and genuinely a very poor image created for sale. Disgusting to be honest.

Fortunately I managed to get the conversation recorded and will be sending this off to the consumer ombudsman for investigation

update - 08/09/2022 - I Received an email requesting more information from Elite Medics regarding my name, telephone number. Elite Medics please refer to my account of which you have the details. With regards to correspondence please refer to email thread dated 21 August 2022 which shows the mix-up in service. For poor customer support please refer to your recorded call of our conversation. A point which I found extremely concerning (which you will also pick up in the recorded conversation ) is when I asked for the full name of the the person I was speaking to on the phone I was told Sarah. I then asked for a surname and was told this would not be possible to provide. The website is listed on an open domain, and on companies house. Why would this information not be available to me as a consumer to log a full complaint?

I highly recommend using EliteMedics for online tutoring.
The teachers are really good and the learning is of a high standard.
My son recently got his GCSEs and he did extremely well in science which he was originally struggling with.

i am a student at elite medics and I think this is one of the best online tutoring i have ever got. recently I started getting full marks in my science tests at school and i started beating my school test marks history. i have even started to think if i want to teach as part of elite medics in the future!

I really appreciate the amount of help EliteMedics has provided for my daughter. They gave thorough explanations for tricky content and insightful advice on how to effectively revise and prepare for A-levels. The material provided was very useful for my daughter as well.

The class content is accessible, the presenters personable and engaging.
The interaction during the classes real helps to build the confidence and helps with focus!

Absolutely brilliant tutorials, my daughter was so happy she didn't have to have her camera on, or be put on the spot with questions, she could just relax, listen and learn. The lessons have been so helpful in the lead up to her A Levels, we would highly recommend.

My son enrolled on the monthly weekend chemistry and biology sessions. Both were consistent, varied, relevant and hugely useful. Tutors were engaging and knowledgeable. I could not recommend more highly and he now goes into his A levels confident, feeling prepared.

EXCELLENT Tutors - We choose Science, all tutors were highly qualified, 3 & 4th year medical students, very relatable & informative.
Pre-course material is sent in plenty of time so your child can see what they will be covering in the virtual lesson.
Lessons are live but are also recorded, so no need to stress if they are late starting or if you need to study a day late for example- there just won't be a chance to ask questions in the chat as recorded.
Secure - No other children can be seen or see your child. Tutor appears on video link and shows slides with information resources which are easy to follow.
Worth every penny!

Great value for money! Having this lessons delivered by students who clearly enjoy what they are doing is really an asset. On top of this, easy interface to use, clear instructions emailed weekly too, and an excellent customer service. My daughter studied GCSE Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics - all very well covered by EliteMedics lessons.

I found out about Elite Medics through instagram and I was interested in their taster sessions in Biology and Chemistry. I registered my son on these sessions and he enjoyed them. After the free sessions Josh chose to continue with paid tuitions in Biology, Maths and Physics. The fees were very interesting and you can’t find cheaper and better anywhere else.Thank you very much for everything! Josh has enjoyed the lessons provided by Elite Medics and he feels better prepared for GCSEs. Today he had his Biology exam and he said it was very easy! When I asked him if the lessons provided by Elite Medics were useful he replied, “I found it very helpful and a range of things that came up in tuition were on the biology test today so thank you”

I will be registering him again in the future if you have a program for Year 13 to help with A levels.

I use my trust pilot account to write my experiences with companies that do not treat people well. I could not in good faith recommend elite medics to anyone unfortunately.

I have had several issues with this company in the first days of subscribing!

I had problems signing up for the price they advertise, 'X3 KS3 subjects for £59.99'. I was going to be charged £89.98! Quite a mark up! Even now these prices are advertised in the same way. The only way you'll know how much they're charging you is when you go to pay! I called them (had to leave a messages as they never answered their phone). The language barrier caused problems but I managed to find out that they charge more for English Lit and English Language. When I informed them that this was false advertising they said they'd change it. To date it is still not advertised correctly on the website.

From my first email to signing up took approx 2 months to resolve looking at my emails. I decided to go ahead as there was little time for me to find an alternative after waiting for elite medics' replies.

It's clearly an automated business set up by someone and run by someone with less knowledge of what's going on in my opinion. That may explain why their conduct is questionably cavalier considering. It doesn't help on the approach to our children taking their GCSEs

I expressed my concerns in their conduct and lack of trust immediately. Once I had signed up on 28th with a view for the £89.98 to be taken from me on the 1st, 4 days later, I found the powerpoint materials on the platform were incomplete. The information was not legible! On a 54 page document only 5 pages had anything written on them. I took screen shots so they could see the blank slides and instead of rectifying the problem they just removed the information early before the month had ended. When I logged on it now said 'you have no lessons for April'. I told them how unhappy I was with this and that I felt this was underhanded. I told them to restore the paid for lessons and they replied with "If, however, you prefer to get access to April's content, then I can have this re-instated at no extra cost. I will change your subscription start date to allow you to get access."

I already had access before they removed it. I expressed to them that I was not happy with them pretending to help or removing the materials or lying about moving the date of my subscription for access to the removed details.

They gave some excuses and said they would not change the way they run their business. I sent several emails expressing the legal implications of providing products and services as I was not in receipt of the professionalism expected when paying someone for a service. I did not at any point instruct the cancellation of the subscription however on the 3rd day of the subscription with still no resolution to any issues or any materials!! I recieved an email from elite medics stating
"We appreciate your feedback and as you have been unhappy with our service, we have proceeded to cancel your subscription. Any payments will be refunded accordingly."

I was completely shocked by their actions. I would not recommend anyone to elite medics who cares about their children's education or their own peace of mind!

Having contacted trading standards and expressed the details of the product advertised I have been advised that I can proceed with a case against elite medics.

I hope that if trust pilot wishes to advocate for elite medics again that they will seek the facts from both parties and at least have the decency to tell me what points need clarifying.

In addition to this review I have now spoken to several other people who have had similar and worst experiences. Facebook and other parental platforms also dissuade other parents to stay away from this company.

My daughter enjoyed the lessons for all her 3 subjects ( Maths, Biology and chemistry) . She enjoyed it better than one to one tutorial and the past paper questions were an excellent addition

my son (Alevel Biology) found the sessions extremely useful and I have been impressed by the quality of the materials provided and the organisation via both the portal and the presenters. I would highly recommend Elite Medics to support science topics.

My daughter loved GCSE biology and was keen to do it as one of her Alevel choices. The jump to Alevel however has been huge and with the pandemic disruption too it knocked her confidence. The online Elite Medic revision sessions have really helped enormously. Access to the pre-course material, lecture notes etc are a really beneficial resource that she can use to revise from and printed off to use in her own time too. The fact that the lessons are recorded so you can go back and re-listen to them again is fantastic as the 4 hour Saturday sessions can be a bit much at times to fit in/remain focused and she loves the fact she can go back over things she's unsure of.
It has really helped improve the quality of her written answers of tests given at Sch since joining.

My both daughters are doing online learning with Elite Medics (Year 9 and Year 11).
We are very pleased with the lessons that are provided online by Elite Medics, my both daughters made visible progress since they started the lessons.

Definite progression for our child who has a slight dyslexia. Can go back after for recaps etc. before starting was not expecting grades that they are capable of but is now getting very good grades even in physics, not the favourite subject. By learning with Elite the subject at school is easier and like a revision process. Excellent.

Lessons are not very engaging, usually quite distant between the teacher and student.
Pupils do not recieved clear explanations on what they need to learn for their specific exam boards during the lesson.
When showing model answers, the teacher writes in bullet points and broken english, so students do not know how to write the answers in the test in full english.

My granddaughter started studying Biology with Elite Medics a couple of months ago. She finds the classes interesting and so far has stayed engaged.

The tutors are very professional. Course materials and presentations are very helpful

My daughter has found the lessons very useful in supplementing her studies. The teachers are able to engage her better as they have been through the process themselves more recently than school teachers and also know how to achieve the higher grades. She enjoys the subjects and finds it less stressful to learn, within the calm home atmosphere.
