EdenPURE® G9 5-Stage Air Purifier – Failed in months and warranty does not cover return shipping
I purchased the EdenPURE® G9 5-Stage Air Purifier expecting reliable performance and genuine warranty protection given its premium price point. Regrettably, the unit completely stopped functioning after only a few months of light, normal use—well within the stated warranty period (expires August 2026).
Upon contacting EdenPURE customer service (Order #212205), I was approved for an exchange; however, I was informed that I am solely responsible for all return shipping costs on a defective product. The G9 is a large, heavy unit, and shipping it back to Canton, Ohio will be expensive depending on carrier and location. Customers are also instructed to use any available box if original packaging has been discarded and to write “Exchange” on the exterior—hardly a professional or reassuring returns process.
A true manufacturer’s warranty should protect the consumer from defects without imposing significant additional expense or inconvenience. Requiring the customer to pay substantial return shipping on a failed unit that is clearly under warranty renders the coverage largely meaningless.
The exchange timeline was quoted at 2–3 weeks after EdenPURE receives the unit, leaving me without an air purifier for an extended period.
Given the premature failure of the G9 and a warranty policy that shifts the burden of a defective product onto the customer, I cannot recommend the EdenPURE® G9 5-Stage Air Purifier. Prospective buyers should be fully aware that “warranty coverage” does not include prepaid return shipping, significantly diminishing the value of an already expensive purchase. Very disappointed.
