Beware if your planning to use their software long term.
I was working with DXO Photolab 4 Elite with 5 years.
I had to switch machines, sadly I needed to transfer my license. However the site that supposed to be used for this case was put to indefinite maintenance with redirect to support. If anyone read the 1 star reviews will know this is not a strong suite of DXO sadly.
They pointed the same legacy OS issue that supposed to be at fault whenever something like this happen. But apparently if you still try to register a trial that goes trough. Strange that needs an authentication as well.
Also I think when someone goes trough the support ticket system 3 times somebody should address the issue properly or at least value their time not gaslighting the customer on OS issues, be technical about it especially when most the customers use Mac OS. I read the forum as well and there where similar issues.
Address what made the 2021 software suite unusable on the newest Mac OS until then, I would be cautious to buy their product until this is not properly addressed.

We’re sorry to hear about your frustration with DxO PhotoLab 4 after changing machines.
To clarify, your license remains valid and was not revoked. An activation slot was available on your account, and our support team assisted with the options still possible for this older version.
User license management is available for more recent versions of our software thanks to an updated activation server, allowing customers to manage activations directly. For older versions such as DxO PhotoLab 4, activation resets still require support assistance.
Regarding compatibility, the last officially supported macOS version for DxO PhotoLab 4 is macOS 12.6 Monterey, so it is not compatible with macOS 26 Tahoe.
A perpetual license allows use of the purchased version without subscription or time limit, but it does not guarantee compatibility with future operating systems or ongoing maintenance for older software.

DXO NIK software
I use the NIK version 8 at this point. I think both sharpeners work the best of the ones I have tried.I also use NIK Silver efex I think DXO has improved on the NIK software, However I think the upgrade price is a little too high.

I've been a very satisfied user of DxO software after switching from Adobe Lightroom in 2021. I currently have Photolab9 elite, Nik9, Viewpoint5 and Filmpack7.
Photolab has the best lens corrections, and denoising capability and the software is a standalone purchase - no subscription fees, and no loss of editing capability if you don't upgrade. However, if you do decide to upgrade and your version is within2 years of the latest version, the upgrade price is one half of the new version - a very nice discount from DxO.

DXO is a great app
DXO is a great app, with a very difficult route to installing the app. Apparently you thought I still used an discarded email address was the one they wanted me to use. Whoever I was dealing with did not understand this. Apparently a current account does not help in this situation. Also a current account does not get into a later app. It has been a difficult transition and I have been reluctant to use it as it is buggy.

went back to previous level. i did update my GPU drivers. nothing has changed DXO has always worked
for me that is why i use it. until this last 9.7 update.
sounds like your saying my computer is no longer compatible.

As noted in your exchanges with our support team, we had started investigating the issue and suggested checks related to GPU processing and the export pipeline. We also requested a diagnostic report, which would have helped us confirm your graphics driver status and verify whether your system met the minimum requirements. However, as the diagnostic script was not run or shared, we were not able to complete the investigation.
We understand that you ultimately preferred to stop troubleshooting and return to the previous version, which works correctly on your system.

Die Software Nik Collection ist gut, keine Frage, aber die Preispolitik ist dreist und unverschämt. Vor 5 Monaten wurde das Produkt erworben und nun soll man wieder 89€ für eine neue Version zahlen.
Lasst die Finger von dem Anbieter, bis er sich auf ein faires Geschäftsmodell besinnt.

Nik Collection 8 was purchased several months ago during the end-of-year promotional period, based on the features and value available at that time. Major upgrades remain optional, and each new version reflects ongoing development and significant improvements to our tools, which is why they are offered separately, with reduced pricing for existing users.
Our release cycle is also relatively consistent from year to year, with new versions typically arriving around the same period.
